My 3 month old baby is breastfed 95% of the time. We have been giving one bottle of formula before bed since 6 weeks old to help me get a bit of sleep. We have used Nan Comfort 1 with no issues until we purchased the newly updated formula with new packaging. It gave my baby terrible wind to the point where he was screaming all night. We discontinued use immediately and will change to a different brand.

We been using Nan comfort for our bub. Since the new packaging we are experiencing alot of constipation problem with our 7months. Baby is constipated and very restless unlike before.
My baby is 6 months old. Started him on nan comfort after 6 weeks old because nan supreme would upset him and give him dark green poo. Switched to nan comfort 1 and it was great. Sleep much better, no constipation. However have transitioned him onto nan comfort 2 with new formulation and it has been a disaster over the past couple weeks. He has been more upset and frequently vomits up the milk multiple times a day. Have just changed formula to aptimal and these issues have disappeared. Won’t buy comfort again.
Have used the old Nan comfort 1 since birth for the last 10 months but since they changed the formula my baby has bad nappy rash and very unsettled I cannot use it anymore I don’t know why they changed it It needs to be recalled and tested What was nestle thinking in changing it

Used the old Nan Comfort 1 from about 2 weeks for my new baby, no issues. Changed to new recipe and is rubbish - has caused vomiting and upset tummy. Don’t use this, spend your money on formula that has good stuff in it, not rubbish ingredients like the new recipe! So disappointed but happy it’s led me to buying a local, Australian owned and made one.
Runny poo, bloating, extremely gassy, and even tried 6 month plus which constipated my 6 month old… honestly thought it was teething but now it’s clear it’s the formula..I don’t understand why it’s more expensive its ingredients need to be recalled
My 3 month old was going very well on the previous Naan Comfort 1 recipe. Since starting the new recipe she has not wanted to drink it, had runny poo, has been crying with tummy pain and not sleeping as well. She has also developed an allergic rash all over her body which comes and goes, similar to dermatitis since starting it, she had perfect skin prior to starting this. Why the change to the new formula?!

My baby was so settled, with new recipe he is just in pain and constipated, never in 5 months he has been constipated, even I changed different brand when nestle nan comfort was not available where I lived, but he went really well with the other brand. Avoid new formula....

Since the birth of our daughter, we found it difficult to find a formula that didn't upset her digestion. We started looking for alternatives as the main go to ones were being rejected. After a lot of research we found Nan Comfort turned out to be a winner. Our daughter became regular and happy. All of the problems we had with formula were gone and being a reputable company - we were not going to change.
Our daughter grew up and went from comfort 1, to 2.
We were noticing our local Woolworths were not stocking Nan Comfort which did seem a bi...

We were so relieved when we found nan comfort 8 months ago with my baby struggling with tummy issues.
Then the stock of nan comfort dissappeared without any notice, it was a battle to get any. I managed to get some old recipe to start transitioning to the new one (we did one scoop at a time transition) it was fine until we started full bottles. My baby was in so much pain from the constipation and throwing up every bottle. We ended up in hosptial because of it.
We switched straight to Karicare the next day and he was back to normal and happy within a day or so.
Will never buy another NAN formula again after what you have done to families and babies.
Changed the ingredients in the formula, my baby has had an upset stomach ever since. Also pulled the product from shelves as the tin design was being changed. Couldn't buy the old or new design tins for a couple of weeks. No notice of either was given. They hiked the price up too
Why did you change the recipe!!!
I used nan comfort for 12months with my first born premmie baby! No issues so I knew I wanted to use that with baby #2. I had brought a couple of tins a few months ago (old recipe) and my formula fed from birth baby was so happy. Then we had to start buying the new tin. Since then, my baby has done nothing but scream and vomit after every feed! I gave it 2weeks for him to get used to it, but my boy was so uncomfortable I have had to change his formula and he is much happier already after 2days of a different formula. After speaking to a few other mums, it made their babies very sick too so I have no idea what is in this “new and improved” recipe but it’s awful!

Its very sad to see that NAN Comfort has been a go to formula and now its one that mothers warn away from. Could wait to try it for my second but now regretting that decision

I used NAN comfort 1,2,3 with my now 5 & 3yr old so when i had my 3rd baby naturally i went for something i new. My baby now 3 weeks old hasnt finished a bottle and completely unsettled all night until i saw my doctor today & she told me about the receipe change! So disappointed, switched her over to Karicare 7 hours ago and shes finished every bottle!
My child has been on NAN Comfort 1 since birth, she is now 11 weeks of ages and not even 1 week into the new formula is, refusing bottles, spewing, diarrhea, screaming in pain, and extremely unsettled. If I had of known you were going to be changing your recipe, I would never have chosen your product!!
Your "new" recipe is absolute crap, and should be recalled from ALL supermarket shelves for further testing, before you make someone's child extremely sick!
Will never purchase again.
3yr old son now had no issues with Nan comfort stage 1,2,3 since using it from 3 months until he tried the new formula recently. Gave him diarrhoea, smelly poops, upset stomach and just triggered other effects. I know because I bought a new one from Coles and took us 3 days to figure out what's going on and decided to ditch new formula and buy old formula still on Woolworth shops and his tummy returned to normal until recently Wooly's ran out of old formula and stock only the new formula. This new one triggered his tummy again. So decided to wean him off all together 2 days later.

The original NAN Comfort was great! Since changing the recipe, our 8 month old is completely unsettled and has been having the most disgusting explosive diarrhoea several times a day! She also lost so much interest in her feeds that we were lucky if she’d take half a bottle of the stuff. We have now switched to S-26 Original, which has thankfully calmed her tummy.
If you use this formula, ditch it.. and if you’re considering it for your baby, don’t! There is something seriously wrong with the ‘updated recipe’ and the product should be recalled! It’s absolutely horrendous. We will NEVER buy, nor recommend this product ever again!

My poor baby has had explosive diarrhoea numerous times after feeding a bottle of the new recipe.
He is quite irritable from having to changing highly watery smelly poos.
His skin is starting to break where these poor are touching throughout his nappy area.
It was hard enough to get the formula in stores and then all we can get is the new recipe.
Never had an issue before this new recipe.
There was no option to gradually introduce as his signs and symptoms were noticed straight away.
I hope you are prepared to refund my money.
Nan Comfort used to be great, but now my baby is constantly spewing up the formula after every feed; not a small spit up either, most of the feed goes.
My son is 10months old and has been on Nan con fort since 3 months old with no issues THEN they changed the recipe. And my son has been vomiting sporadically for the last 4 to 5 days. He’s has water poo for the last 3. One night he could not stop chucking and we went through 4 sets is sheets. I would recommend anyone using this formula to STOP and anyone thinking of buying to NOT. I will never use this formula again. Why change something that’s not broken. My poor son has been through hell for the last week all because you want to save a buck.
I’m an actively breastfeeding mum, started nan comfort 1 old receipe when Bub was 1 month old two times a day for him to get used to when I start my work. He was happy with his bottles. Started new receipe 2 days back, he still seems fine. I’m transitioning him by giving old recipe at night and the new one in the afternoon. Saw various negative feedback, I think transitioning by giving both the recipes will work.

Research and development?...i dont think so..most likely cost saving drove this formula change.
Used this for my son and just recently he started to not sleep well, was grumpy all the time and unsettled. I thought I'd google this formula to see and to my surprise i saw all the negative reviews on here due to formula change. What a shame. I have just gone to get a new brand of formula. No more nan.

All 3 of our babies fed on the NAN comfort range. 7 week old had a surprise when Nestle decided to change the formula. As others have said, this has tipped our house upside down. Tried to follow instructions Nestle provided to no avail. We have since changed and back on track. This formula change actually impacted our DDs growth curve.
Wow was it scary.
Why fix something that is not broken. My baby was on nan comfort from birth since you changed the recipe she was so unsettled and had really bad colic, which she never had before. I noticed that you add more of the ingredients that aren’t familiar to me. Now we have to go through finding a new formula all again just as we were getting a routine as well. Also never knew about the change until it was too late. You should be ashamed of yourself as a first time mum this has not helped my postal natal anxiety at all. Shame on you.
I have been mix feeding breast milk and Nan Comfort for my baby since 2 weeks of age due to supply issues and weight concerns. It was a great formula causing no issues. I'm so disappointed with the new recipe. My little girl (now 4 months old) has had green watery stools for over a week now. She has otherwise been okay, but has started to refuse her bottles. I'm a big believer that your baby knows best! Have switched to Aptamil Gold. I had my son on this formula when he self weaned at 7 months and had no issues. I only went with Nan originally ...
Read moreas my doctor recommended it when I was having issues this time around. It was great, but now pretty horrible unfortunately.
