Beep beep Betty
Family car, shopping and small trips. Car is used every day and is serviced according to dealer requirements. The sonar on the car is over the top. The car beeps far too much which is very annoying . I enjoy the reverse parking camera. This car comes to emergency stop when I drive up the shopping centre driveway ?? Very unsafe!! Overall a comfortable car with some unusual additions.

Excellent. NISSAN QASHQAI ST-L
Driving experience is terrific, both in performance and handling, very quiet on the road....Interior leather is good, except it does seem to mark easily. Plenty of leg room both of us are tall and that was a crucial factor when we looked for a new car.
Good on fuel consumption, although we have only done short trips, so should perform even better on a long run.
We had the Ming finish on both interior and exterior and that keeps it cleaner between washes....

Great Car
Only got it 10 months ago, has been an alright car. The keyless entry sometimes doesn't work either being a brand new, when asked the dealer who advised to get the cell changed for the car keys..disappointing!!! Although good to drive on long journey, alright with fuel economy. Its an average car if you looking to drive locally but not too good for extremely long drives.

Just OK
The in-dash system screen is small and Nissan connect applications doesn’t work in Australia. There is no reverse sensor but the camera is ok, although the screen is small. The Running costs looks good. The driving experience is also good. But it’s a normal a good family car, the space is limited.

Qashqai J11 TL
How disappointing! Love the car, comfortable, a little bit of luxury BUT mechanically it has been a tragedy!
At 20,000k the turbo had to be replaced, the drivers seat tracks require replacing, the steering has a distinctive squeak that needs to be fixed, sensors had to be replaced and now there is a engine rattle that is booked in to be looked at! We went for a Nissan because of the quality but will not touch another since having these issues!

Qashqai Diesel is Superb!
We picked up a 2016 TL diesel with just over 14k on the clock. (Nissan exec car)..at 10K off new price and with the super low K's plus a couple of years remaining warranty ...I thought it was a good deal. I did a LOT of research prior and wanted a compact SUV that had all the gear plus good fuel consumption as we were moving out of town and intended to do a lot more highway driving. The test drive confirmed much of what I was after but still, there is always some trepidation. The first drive (100 ks) laid to rest any qualms. WOW its a great little car!...Done 5 or 600 Ks now. The fuel consumption is amazing its tight and great to drive. I cant believe they are not putting the diesel in the new model...a big mistake Nissan.

Drives well, good vision, economical
Drives well. Has plenty of leg room in rear seats. Not much boot space unless rear seats down though. Could be quieter inside - fair bit of road noise. MAJOR GRIPE - Don't waste money going to TI model with panoramic roof unless you're prepared to drive without ability to have windows down for fresh air. Needs major work on providing decent interior 'shade' for panoramic roof. Closed shade flaps so much when windows down but Nissan doesn't believe it's a fault. Have to use aircon all the time or die of heatstroke - really pushes boundaries of otherwise good fuel economy.

Decent SUV.
We bought our Qashqai (automatic) just over a year ago and have done around 40,000 KMs already (we do a lot of country driving). While it's definitely not as powerful as our previous car (Ford Ranger) the only time you notice it is when overtaking up hills and you just have to allow more time/room. We have not had any issues with this car, it's been extremely reliable. The car is quite compact so easy to park (which the Ranger was not) and there's adequate boot space but a little more would be nice. The interior is black leather so easy to keep...Read more
clean. There's no aircon vents in the back which annoys the kids a bit. The parking cameras, SatNav, Bluetooth features are great and we use these all the time. We've had the car serviced twice now at Nissan and they're pretty good, they give us a courtesy car in the meantime.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst car i have had
Although the nissan is spacious and good on fuel the problems i have had out way the positives. The turbo needed to be replaced, wheel bearings and now the battery has to be replaced. The battery is astronomical in price costing $400. It was not under warranty as it was 18mths old. I have done 43000km, what else can go wrong with it. I would not recommend this car to anyone.

Somewhat overpirced for what it is - but arn't they all
Owner of a 2017 Ti with 10k kms, Bought as its one of the SUV style cars with CVT. Very nice but is it resting on its laurels?
Not overly big inside but well appointed. To get a half decent fuel consumption I found that I have to be very light on the accelerator. Consequently its not used for short trips around town. Might defeat the purpose of having one a bit!
Strangely nothing actually jumps out to say that its so much better than any of the competitors and I find that I am focusing on what I miss about the car.
The management co...Read more
mputer seems a complete mess. After switching off there is no 30 second gratis to wind up the windows. Lock it and the mirrors don't retract. Spool though the management computer and there is no instantaneous fuel usage, no total to date. Instead there's a vague trip 1 and trip 2 with "averages" There is a feature which shows how heavy your foot is on the gas but thats not as good as the Honda CR-V has. There doesn't seem to be any ability to program the key to do simple tasks as well as to just lock and unlock and no auto tailgate opener/lifter - 'struth the Colt plus had these features 10 years ago.Similar opinion? Good Car...But could have been Great
Handling - Drivers will love it
Spacious - back seat it perfect for 3 adults and boot is big enough
Power - Lacks the punch. It would have been better with 2.5 L or Turbo petrol engine
Its a disappoint to drive on hill, it drags....Engine makes lot noise
AC - Its powerful but back seat should have vents in all models (considering heat in Australia)
Infotainment - Only used radio and connected my phone via Bluetooth. Screen is small but camera clarity is good. So no issues in parking at night or on raining days
Brakes - Makes lot of noise...Read more

Love my diesel ts model so much!!! Such a good family car
I bought a 2016 ex display diesel model through my salary sacrifice for the new bubba to be and to upgrade my very old Suzuki! It’s so economical on diesel costing only $65 to fill the tank and I’m getting at least 800km to a tank!!! 900 if I do highway driving! It’s fits the pram easily in the back with groceries and I love the reversing camera as I can really park this car anywhere in the tightest of parks! The electronic side mirrrors and Bluetooth are a luxury and make phone calls clear and easy to do! It’s a really lovely car to drive! Love the service you get from Nissan dealers too with capped priced servicing and Nissan road side warranty!

Great Value
Excellent value car for what it is.
We bought it as we needed something with a little bit more space and practicality. The Qashqai fits the bill perfectly.
It handles well and is surprisingly nimble given it's not very powerful on paper. Also love the 360 view camera - impossible to park badly in the Qashqai!
Also comes very well equipped. We have the TI which has just about everything you could ask for, with the one shortcoming being a lack of Apple Carplay / Android Auto.
Not the most dynamic drive around but if you're looking for practicality and value this fits the bill.

Nissan lied about Handsfree
Purchase Dec 2017.
Knew all the features and options it came with.
The HandsFree doesn’t work. Nissan says it’s not available but they are selling it as Bluetooth handsfree.
Nissan Also say the userbook is international and I shouldn’t beleive what it says.
Their method of using handsfree is to use the centre screen to push a load of buttons while driving on a highway and hopefully avoid crashing, that is not handsfree.
Waiting for Nissan to fix this feature otherwise we will be taking it further.

Value for Money
Best car you could purchase for the price! I'm a stick shift fanatic and being such my search criteria for a vehicle was quite narrow.
The Qashqai stood out against all odds of being the perfect vehicle for the price. I bought the 17' J11 Ti Manual and it has so far been a world of comfort and pleasure. For the price you pay - you get a whole load of features incl. a panoramic sunroof, intelligent park assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, heated seats, electric drive seat.
The 2L engine is also powerful when you desire...Read more
it to be and the hill start assist has been quite helpful considering the handbrake is electric. The dashboard is quite lit and smoothly finished. Just wished the radio was a little up to date, but nothing to complain about. The speakers however are disastrous and high volumes that Nissan could've really done something about it. Overall i love the Qashqai and for what it stands for.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great car and very fuel efficient
The driving experience is very good and very smooth, very great handling experience and since this car has quite low cc so it doesn't produce loud noise. The interior is very good and the legroom for the person who sit in the front is very big. Leg room might be a little limited for those who sit in the back. Hasn't got any problem with this car, has been using this car for 3 years

Love it but is under powered
Love this car but there are a couple of things that niggle me. The camera for blind side detection is set off when it rains. It is under powered for the body size so big hills can be a struggle. Like the fact so much is accessible from the steering wheel. Leg room is good. Parking camera is also good you can change view so good all round views are good. Boot is very good size like the split base. Split rear seats is handy. Find all the alarms annoying these can be set off if going down a steep incline driveway. At the moment the keyless ignitio...Read more
n is playing up. I get invalid key message which doesn't make sense because I unlock the door with the key. The gps does not take the shortest route you can not ask for alternative route. When we moved to this town I had no idea where things were I programmed the gps it took 10 minute to get to the destination now that I know where is a different route it takes less than 5min. Notice the lack of power going up steep hills you can lose up to 10kph not quite that much if on curse control but in town I don't use cruse control.Similar opinion? The Perfect Cross Over Car
After driving an awesome Suzy Swift for 4 years and having it written off by a careless driver I went out and bought a white Nissan QASHQAI. Car has plenty of cabin room for 4 adults and plenty of boot room for luggage. It has a zippy 2.0 Litre engine and CVT. Purchased as demo 2017 from Burwood Nissan. I recommend you at least test drive one. The Perfect Crossover!

Questions & Answers
Ronak P.asked
Hi
Is anyone facing Nissan QASHQAI have radiator fan shroud problem.
My car fan making noise and when I checked with mechanic, he said there is a play in radiator fan and it's making noise while on full speed.
He also mentioned it's a common issue and it will cost around $1700 to install with only one year warranty.
I am not sure what to do.

Hi Ronak, I have a 2015 build nissan qashqai purchased in March 2016 with only 53K on the clock 6 months out of warrenty and my cooling fan has broken...will cost me $2004 to replace and install with only one year warranty ..we tried to get second hand part through the car wreckers literally impossible to find as its apparently a common problem with nissan qashqai's have also read on the internet that they have recalled 2018 models in the UK due to this problem with cooling fan
