Awful bottle

published

This is actually the worst bottle I’ve ever used! It leaks like crazy, the straws get mould in them, even though I wash in warm soapy water daily... the bottom part of the water doesn’t get drunk because straw is too short.. and when reassembling the straw back in top part of the hole, the straw is so hard to put back in, because of the close lid on the top.. I just threw both out because I’m over them!

Purchased in February 2021 at Woolworths.

Terrible. Leaks easily.

published

I bought this for my 13 month old. Its a relatively good sippy cup but my issue with it is that it leaks easily and quickly when on its side or not sitting perfectly upright. Considering the majority of toddlers and babies will sip and drop these cups, this is a very bad design.

The last straw came when my toddler left it on my eldest daughters bed today and its leaked all over, soaking the mattress before I got to it. Not impressed.

I find the $2 drink bottles from kmart better quality for your money.

Probably better for bigger kids

Bought this product to try and teach my toddler to use a straw. Product says 'soft touch valve' which is a big stretch! Valve does not open unless you bite down fairly hard, much harder than my daughter can meaning she cannot get any water out of it. Even I struggled to drink from it. This is the second nuby sippy cup I have bought (completely different) that has not worked due to the valves being to hard. Will not be purchasing anything nuby again.

Not perfect but what I use

published

I have yet to find a sippy cup that doesn't leak, they all do! But after trying lots this is the one I go back to.
Positives: It has training handles that can be removed. Easy to clean straw (trust me that is a big factor). My baby likes it.
Negatives: Have to screw it on exactly or it will leak a lot. After some months of use the straw can get broken from chewing. The bottom 1cm of fluid never gets drunk because the straw is a little short.

No spill. Ha!

published

Leaks like no other sippy cup has leaked before, and don't waste putting anything but water in this cup as the bottom two inches get thrown away as the straw doesn't reach! Contacted nuby regarding the fact the four we purchased for our twins leaked like niagra falls and was completely ignored. Crap company, false marketing, don't buy!

Love, Love, Love It!

published

My son is currently using 2 of these - one for water, one for juice, and he absolutely loves them. I am planning on getting him the No-Spill Flip It when he no longer has bottles. I tried to get him to take a sippy cup originally, but he never got the hang of the spout, so we went straight to the straw. After starting with the Tommee Tippee's, which I found leaked terribly (such a shame), we switched to Nuby. He has been using them since about 7 months, and hasn't had a problem.
Doesn't leak. Great colours.
Cleaning the straws is a bit tricky

Excellent

published

It's really easy for my baby to hold it because of the handles. One reviewer mentioned that her daughter tipped the cup upside down all the time, but this isn't the fault of the cup. It really, really doesn't leak and my boys bash theirs about like crazy. There is a trick to getting the water out so it's not an ideal first cup, but once you move on to a straw it's fantastic. I highly recommend.
Easy for my son to hold. Straw folds away. Bright colours.
I really can't fault it. I've bought a ton of cups and this one works the best for our family.

It probably is a good cup but has not been the ideal cup to wean my 6 month old. He is able to grip and hold cup but tends to chew on straw rather than drink through it. So after persisting for 2 weeks, I have now bought my 5th cup (!) which appears to be the most successful to date (cheap, soft spout, easy to hold and non-spill) - franklins 'pretty baby' training cup.
Nice colours, has built in cover
Unfortunately, baby loved to chew on the straw rather than sip through it.

Good

I love these and so did my son. He still uses this size for bed time and I don't have to worry about it spilling. Never had a problem with rubber being chewed as he wasn't a chewer. It got thrown on the floor- sometimes from great height and never broke. Easy to clean the bottle but without a straw cleaner it is hard to clean straw without having to boil it.
No-spill straws, comfy easy to hold handles for the littler bubs. Easy to clean the cup
Replacement straws couldn't be found. Straw is hard to clean without a straw cleaner.

Over all I liked these cups because they were easy for my son to hold. I liked the closable lid, good for travelling. I just wish I could find replacement straws for them.
Fun bright colours. Easy for little ones to hold. Good no spill feature. Straws and lids are interchangable with other nuby cups.
Can't buy replacement straws anywhere. So when the straws get chewed or go yucky you have to buy a whole new cup. Rubber on the handles is easily chewed off.

cheaper than most sipper cups on the market. ifound that i did'nt get my moneys worth on this sipper cup.i also found that my daughter seemed to tip the cup upside down all the time trying to drink. ok if the child knows how to drink with a straw.
i liked the colours that were available, easy to hold for the little hands. bought it on sale which was the main reason.
the rubber on the handles were chewed off instantly. my daughter worked out how to open it then chewed the bottom of the straw and split it.
