Very Poor Quality Control of packaging method
I agree with a previous reviewer about the strips stuck together and the touching the loading end trying to get them out of the plastic container. Recently they have been packaging more strips in the plastic container making it even harder to get them out with diabetic fingers having neuropathy from so many tests in the fingers in 40 years. Like so many other manufacturers that are cutting corners and upping prices these days. No regard for the end user only the bottom line. You would think that products would improve with time not degrade. I give a three thumbs down for Life Scan on this venture. Norm

Test Strip Problems
The test strips for this device are shipped in a capped plastic cylinder sensitised edge upwards so that you have to remove them from the cylinder by contacting the test capillary zone with your fingers. If you are having a Hypo, moisture and debris on the skin seems to stop the strip functioning, ie Blood does not fully occupy the capillary. In addition issues in manufacturing and packaging control means some strips are stuck together preventing insertion in the reading slot (20+% of all those i have received have been overlapped this way). parating the overlapped strips is simple but not at 2am wthe you have a low sugar reading. Strips which will not read account for 20+% of my purchases. The meter reads fine and compared to other products on the market has some interesting features but the strip problem means that mine will be returning to to manufacturer. Clean design with simplified data recording Measuring strip design and packaging means I cannot rely on it to work when its needed.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent, user friendly unit
Works from small drop of blood and seems to give reliable results which match my Hba1c results. Very few strips don't read and that seems to be mainly when I miss the slot on the test strip (fumble fingers) and only part load the strip. I have only used 1 other type of unit so cannot comment much on the others; however this has proved quite a good unit over the past 14 months.

More Errors than anything else
Was really excited to try new machine/strips. Seems easy to use. Problem out of 25 strips in one bottle more than 10 have errored so far and prompted to use another strip... Going to give another go, but may have to replace with something more reliable.
easy to add comments
Lots of Errors, not reading the strip.

Had this problem when strip was not placed properly on blood. Strip must be placed against blood sample so it sort of sucks it into the test area.
