Junk Meter
The reading are sometimes 20 points too high. Worse is it is inconsistent. Sometimes it would read 5 points high and sometimes 28. Testing supplies are too expensive. I can almost pay for the lancets and strips for my other meter myself when compared to the lancets and the co-pay for these.

WORST I've ever used
No matter how careful I am, I end up using two and three strips EVERY time I take a reading. Error message pops up. Then it is really difficult to get another strip when my finger is bleeding. My insurance MAKES me use this product or I would NEVER buy again.

Poor to use, terrible waste of strips
Without doubt the worst meter I have ever tried. Despite persisting with it for over 3 months, I finally gave it up as a joke. A very bad one. At its worst anything up to 25 strips were needed for a "valid" result. Errors 2, 4 and 5 were so common that to get a result first go was a matter for surprise. I doubt the accuracy of the results given that tests taken at similar times with other meters would show results at a large variance to this meter. The only suggestion given by the manufacturer was " you must be using it incorrectly". Given that meters of a similar design have not given me anywhere near the problems this one did, I doubt that to be the case.

Inconsistent, inaccurate results- fast!
Got this meter when participating in a research study. Had severe hypos which were not detected by the OneTouch, and read it as 6.5, however when checking (with the same blood) on my normal meter, the result was 2.5. After I noticed this discrepancy, I kept an eye on the levels of both meters. When having hypos, the OneTouch did not detect accurately, and varied between being too low and too high compared with my other meter.
No coding
Strips are very sensitive when applying blood- I had alot of strips not working after applying blood.

Working well 4 months in
I was looking for a monitor that did not require coding, as school would skip that step no matter how many reminders and notes I left, which meant all test results would be inaccurate until I picked up that this had happened. I don't like using strips for my daughter, as they end up on the floor, in the car, on the garden path... but have not found a reliable alternative. This has easy to use meal flags and came with free software by redemption, which works well. The phone support is UK based, which gives after hours access. The strips come in...Read more
a canister, so that minmises rubbish over individually wrapped ones. So far I have had no cause to question its accuracy. The case is quite strong and durable. It is a newer monitor to Australia and I have had to order strips as chemists do not stock these in any great quantity. Reliable, long battery life, meal flags, free software, free batteries, minimal rubbish, no coding, durable case, clear display uses strips, strips can be hard to buy as this is a new monitor in Australia, light for screen only - not test areaSimilar opinion?
