Hi! I did start to use oral b pro repair(Italy). First days it was great, cause I did feel my teeth clean.. but since a week it started with strange reactions..the teeth still clean but my l lips swollen and dry, strange uncomfortable feeling on my tongue and going on throat and catching air. First was not such a problem it went away after few minutes but every day after it get worse and longer. Today it was more than an hour, my eyes were wet and I had really problems with breathing. Tomorrow I don't use it anymore cause I'm afraid. Why is this happening??

Anyone else out there experiencing silica residue soon after using this specific toothpaste?

I have not experienced silica residue after using this product. I do know that my teeth are whiter and feel cleaner after each time I use the toothpaste.

Does anyone else think this product tastes like Deep Heat? I swear I had to double check the contents on the tube! It's such a weird taste.

Ok. Can anyone out there tell me the precise purpose for the fine gritty bits in the Oral B Pro-Expert Clean Mint or Fresh Mint?
Procter & Gamble are you out there? Also if you are, how about explaining about all this skin shedding that's going on???

I would suggest that it's to physically abrade the "fur" from your morning teeth and the film that may be present after a day of eating etc from your evening teeth. Like having a daily dentist clean.
I found the sensation during brushing to be unpleasant.
Thanks MargM for you 'suggestion', but Id really like to hear from P & G who KNOW exactly why they've put the 'GRITS' in their product? Also, what about all the skin it sheds when you use this particular toothpaste? We need a clinical expert to answer these important questions?
The little gritty bits may well be to abraid the am & pm bacterial film, but wouldn't it be really nice to know from the makers? Come on P&G, what about it? Also, you must have read your customers reviews? What's the real story why your Pro-Expert Clean, (or Fresh?) Mint scours a skinful from the inside of your mouth, EVERY TIME YOU USE IT? Staying stumb n' quiet won't make this IMPORTANT question go away?
Why not enlighten us all and remove all these Uncertainties? You might even sell MORE of this knitty gritty into the bargain? At least put some sort of warning on the box or tube? So what about it P&G, when are we going to hear from one of your experts???

Is it normal to experience extreme gum pain after using this toothpaste?
Used it for 2 days and needed to take paracetamol through the night due to really painful gums.

Hi Barb, no i haven't experienced any gum pain whilst using this product, I've been using it for over a week now, I've had no real issues with it
Hi Barb,
I didn't have any gum pain or even irritation, but I only used it for a few days. If you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, and possibly abrade your gums through brushing with this gritty toothpaste, perhaps you have tiny abrasions that have become irritated. I'd stop using it.
I've been using it for 3 years and have no gum problem or pain from it. May be you are sensitive or allergic to an ingredient? Perhaps you could see a dentist to be make sure your gums are ok. Good luck!
