Great travel camera
This TZ220 is a quality item I haven’t used all the functions yet, it is a step up from the TZ70. It’s a bit thicker and heavier so a little bit bulkier to fit in my pocket, The improvement in image quality over the TZ70 was what I was after. I have sold my heavy NIKON D700 and happy with my TZ220. This camera can do some great things like HDR and allows pics you normally need high skill set to produce great pics.

Awesome camera. Highly recommended for travelling.
Have had the TZ220 for a month now, and it is great. Video is really good, especially 4k. Images are bright and colour is not over saturated. There are still many features I have not tried yet, but I am working through them. I thought the fixed LCD screen would be an issue, but no, I'm not big on selfies anyway. It is a great screen with good colour representation. I could go on but no time, just buy one a try for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Mediocre Image quality with focusing all over the place.
This camera has all the specifications to make it a brilliant travel camera and in some respects, I was sorry to part with mine. As with other reviews, I found my TZ30 better when it came to colour, contrast and focusing. Image quality was mediocre and focusing was all over the place, with low light photographs often grainy. As a result, far too many photographs were blurry with washed out colours. The touch screen is way too sensitive as one can easily lose ones settings just by carrying the camera switched on, ready to use. Viewfinder is grea...Read more
t except the bluish tint that is off-putting. After some use, zooming in and out became noisy and at times, the camera sounded as if it were about to seize. The on/off switch has to be the worst I have ever seen on a camera and I accidently switched my camera on countless times without realizing it. So for a travel camera, not good at all as sooner or later, the on/off switch is going to be bumped and if in a hard case, the lens is going to push out against this and may even damage the camera. For what it delivers, this camera way overpriced.

Camera Image Lacks Vibrancy
I own two Panasonic Lumix TZ30 cameras and found them to be fantastic. I thought I would upgrade to a TZ220 to get the advantages of a bigger sensor area to get sharper images & better night shots. The TZ220 delivered the results I was looking for BUT the pictures taken on the TZ220 are not as vibrant as the ones taken on my TZ30 cameras. The colours look washed out by comparison and while the old TZ30 gives a clear impression of whether the photo was taken in bright sunlight or overcast conditions, the TZ220 leaves you guessing.
