Great customer service
Loved everything about this hairdryer until it stopped working after 2 years. BUT I contacted them and sent it back to the importer and they are replacing it! Going back to using a cheapie hairdryer whilst my Parlux is out of action has made me realise just how good the Parlux is. Thanks Parlux for such great customer service!

Great power and awesome design
After having me last hairdryer for 12 years ! I was picky what would replace it.
Hairdryers are proof you get what you pay for and this one doesn’t disappoint.
It feels comfy in the hand and so powerful I no longer used my hair straightener. I love this product.

Great, light and Quick drying
This model is great for fast, and light hair drying after showers. It's so good, you just can't resist blowing your hair around while looking in a mirror! Highly recommended.

Excellent Hair dryer
Very Reliable, works like a dream. I think it’s the best of the best. My hair looks amazing after using it. It’s very sturdy, it can handle a few drops on the floor.

Bought on reputation only
I bought my hair dryer 7 months ago now and use it quiet frequently. I bought it solely because of the brand reputation and had never owned one before. To say honestly I was a little surprised about the hype of this brand upon using it. The build quality is only a slight bit above others I have used. Although we buy a hairdryer to get the end result not to have a hair dryer and therefore I can say it works well and is nice to use. Would I buy again?.... I do not know.

BEST HAIR DRYER EVER
I have been blow drying my hair for years and tried so many different hair dryers. I have super curly hair so good hair dryers and straighteners are hard to find. I borrowed by friends Parlux when I was living in London and was amazed. When I returned to Australia I got myself one! It is so powerful and I have had for ages. I also dont mind spending the money on it because by now I would have spent way more buying new ones~

Good
I bought this hair dryer as gift for my sister as she said she loved it and the previous one died in a certain time. It is light and quiet, yet very potent. It dries your hair in no time and its light weight helps to make your styling a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

Small and powerfull.
Good quality parts, small and heavy.
Very strong, I dropped a few times and I got nothing more than scratches.
Really powerful. My wife does her hair and a fraction of the time compared to what she used to take using those <$50 hairdryers.

Such power!
The Parlux is extremely light but has so much power to it! Gone are the days where I stand in the bathroom for 20 minutes drying my hair! My hair is of medium thickness and is halfway down my back in length and it is completely dry in under 5 minutes.
If you're like me and straighten your hair, the Parlux (with a good brush) does most of the work.
I have never been happier with a hairdryer.
10/10 recommend!

Light and powerful and durable
It works really well, meets all my needs - light weight and powerful. It's marginally heavier than the latest rival Dyson Supersonic (730g compared to 558g), but significantly more powerful (1800-2500w compared to just 1600w) and only 1/3 as expensive.
The only complaint I have is it lasts too long...no excuse to try something new.

Happy with this
This is a great hair dryer. Love the colour (I got the red). And it is a lot more quieter than my 10 year old clunky Breville hair dryer although that has served me well over the years. Parlux also seems to be more powerful.

Fantastic hair dryer
As a professional hairdresser and business owner for the last twenty eight years. Purlux hair dryers are built to last and most importantly extremely reliable, reasonably priced hence this is why they are commonly preferred by hairdressers.

Bought my 385 on line 3 days ago and I am a bit concerned. It states 4 temperatures and I am assuming the cold button is one, but as for the three switch positions my hairdryer doesn't have much heat in any of them. It is cold in the first position, barely noticeable luke warm in the second and warmer, but not hot, in the third (I can hold my hand up to 1cm in front of nozzle comfortably). My hair roots are still damp after considerable drying time and I feel cold while using it. I am used to a hairdryer that bathes you in warmth. Is there something wrong with my unit or is this normal? i am happy with the resulting silky feel of my hair but don't enjoy being cold in the process.

Hi guys, found my own solution. Using the "concentrator nozzles" retains control of the heat so It doesn't dissipate and leave me cold, I use one all the time now. My online retailer also provided the following regarding settings
Parlux Switches:
the two nozzles are very similar, but they are a slightly different size, if you put the thin edges up against each other, you will see the slight difference. The thinner the flow of hair the more concentrated.
1. red switch is OFF + blue switch is MAX = high speed heat
2. red switch is MAX + blue switch is OFF = high speed heat (very similar, if not the same as, in case 1))
3. red switch is MED + blue switch is OFF = medium speed cold air
4. red switch is MED + blue switch is MAX = maximum speed to get medium heat
5. Red and blue switch is MED = medium speed, cold air
I am very happy with my parlux, it is quick and effective, but just a bit pricey!
In Australian released models both switches perform an identical function, heat + speed in one switch, ignore the colour coding
For single operation:
First position is off
Second position is 1 speed no heat
Third position is 1 speed and adds 1 heat
Because you are only using one switch the hair dryer will not go over medium speed and medium heat
Think of using the switches as "doubling" each other, so when you use two switches you are doubling the input with the same logic
Two switches in second position = 2 speed no heat (heat isn't added until a switch is in 3rd position)
Two switches in third position = 2 speed + 2 heat (two switches in 3rd position equals double the heat)
One switch in second position and one switch in third position = 2 speed plus 1 heat
(Two switches are adding speed but only one is is in the 3rd heating position)
I'm a hairdresser and I use this dryer everyday and most professional hair dryers operate this way and it is hard for many to get their head around if you are used to using one switch for speed and one switch for heat, with these dryers bother switches are combined speed and heat even though they are colour coded so the combination of them is what gives a certain setting, just remember that 3rd position = heat, so one switch in 3rd = medium heat, and two switches in 3rd = maximum heat, two switches in second would equal no heat
