If its not a suction power issue, did you try pulling it apart? Make sure all the cogs are moving freely and nothing is obscuring, you can feel if there is any resistance or damage or anything in ther...
Read moree, wouldnt be much wear and tear in 3mths, an obstruction seems more likely.always make sure there is no obstruction between the Rebel and the skimmer box..large leaves ect get jammed ...if thats ok id look at your actual filter to see if it needs back flushing,,or like mine...
Read more the old cylinder filter ..it might need a hose down as this limits suction power to the Rebel...my cogs were a little worn over the years so i installed a tune up kit..all runs fast and cleans very well ....Rebel works 100% when it has great suctionMy Rebel won’t close all the way. I’ve opened it about 100 times over the last 2 years (because it always gets clogged and quits moving) but now it simply won’t close all the way. Obviously, it doesn’t work now, any suggestions? Thank you
I recently bought my Rebel 2 Pool cleaner for my Pebble pool. The Rebel 2 Pool cleaner is having great difficulty climbing the walls, gets about 6 inches up and just floats back down. I had the pool shop do a call out, they dropped the float level down to about 6 inches up on the first small hose and dropped speed down.
This slightly helped. I was advised it was because of the new tyres especially because of the lugs on the tyres they are pushing the Rebel away from the sides. I was advised that as these wear down I should notice a difference in the climbing.
Is anyone else having this same problem ?
I have never had this problem, it sounds like the are talking rubbish to me, it should work straight away, I have a concrete pool (smooth surface) and it climbed the walls new and with worn tyres, I’m...

Hi Bryan, ty for the reply. I have used the device provided, with the Rebel 2 and it is at the maximum level for pressure. As to speaking rubbish I wish I could add a vid file of it on here. The lack ...

I had the exact same problem. My Rebel has run beautifully for years but rubber tyres were starting to wear and was getting stuck on the step. Got replacement tyres but they sent me rubber t...

The larger humps prevent the rebel from going up the walls. My rebel cleaner has worked good for two summers now but it seems to be "sleeping" more then ever. In a corner, half way up the side wall, it just stops and doesn't move. Once I manually move it back into the middle of the pool it will start working again but soon after goes to sleep again. Any help?
the suction is not good enough for it to spin about and cover the whole pool ..look at cleaning the pool filter for more suction..or blockages ..or perhaps the cogs are a little worn and you need to replace them with a tune up kit
I have a 3 month old Pentair Rebel. It has been working fine until recently. It appears to primarily run in reverse. With the debris/suction opening Facing the rear and handle to the rear. Once it hits the wall, it will flip onto its top and stay there for a long time. Any suggestions?
Maybe take a video and take it back to shop if it’s only 3 months old, it’s still under warranty
Rebel cleaner recently only cleans deep end of pool?
All baskets clear, pressure gauge OK.
Take it apart and have a look at the shafts, if they show wear it means the cogs are not catching the teeth on the wheel and it doesn’t move very far, if they are worn you will have to replace them, c...

Hi Phil. If you have a tiled pool as I do I found the Rebel to be no good as the tyres won't grip and the machine spent a lot of time spinning and thinking. I have just swapped mine for a Great White ...

Turn off pump and remove the Rebel from the pool and disconnect the hose. Open the Rebel casing up and pull out the grey neck (the bit that connects to the hose). Try spinning the neck and if it does...
Read moren't spin freely, there is more than likely some debris (usually small piece of twig in my case) stuck in the spinning neck piece. If that's the case, just use a tiny screwdriver or similar and remove the object. Hans.My rebel keeps turning upside down and does not right it self so then just sits there until we correct it. Any clues please.
I havent taken it back i think its got something to do with where the weight on the hose is positioned. I will watch i carefully now and decide. Its only 12 month old.
My rebel is not goin to shallow end on pool and I have replaced tires and gears. Any ideas.?
Hi George. If you have a tiled pool the Rebel 2 is useless. My unit also only does the deep end and spins away for ages in the one spot when it gets to the wall of the pool.
My rebel keeps running in circles. I have replaced the tires .I have opened it up to check for obstructions. Any thoughts?
THANKS
My new rebel 2 won’t climb my Quartzon pool wall it gets to the start of the bottom of the wall and the tyres just spin, not sure what is wrong have tried everything to get it to climb but it can’t
how can I contact pentair dist. in queensland please?
We purchased the Rebel S5 while buying a new pool (above ground put in ground) It has pretty much stopped moving completely, Hubby has adjusted suction, checked for debris and blockages but no luck. Our retailer has advised it only had a 2 year warranty - can you confirm please?
My Rebels works nicely for about a year and now its only cleaning half of my pool and only my deep side of the pool. The basket is clean, no leaf stucked. It is really annoying. How can I know if its the problem of the wheel tyre is running out or something wrong with the mechnical parts inside the machine? anyways to check?
I'm really not qualified to answer this, best to ask Rebel as I've not had this problem. You'll be asked about the pool surface. It may help if the hose is taken out of the pool and laid flat & straig...

I have a Pentair Rebel for about 2 years. Recently it only moves around in a small area and it does not clean the pool much at all. I have checked all the connection and all seemed good. The pool shop I bought it is no longer there. What else can I do to improve it please?
I would check three things; First check the skimmer and filter baskets to make sure there is not too much debris built up. Second, the suction pressure, there was a tool provided with the cleaner t...
