All parts for vent have come apart and I'm now confused with how to put it back together. I'm also not sure if I've lost parts or not. I currently have a silver part with hole in it and a circle seal type thing.

Hi, it seems to keep coming up that this product doesn't come with a rice recipe, and is also missing the water lines that the previous model had. Be cool if you could just post the correct ratio here or on the product support page so that myself and others can find it. :) Shouldn't need to call support to figure out how to use a built-in function!!

Hi David, thank you for you question. The slow cooking function has a low/high temperature option, and a default cooking time of 8, and 6 hours respectively. The stew cooking function on the other hand, has a default cooking time of 1 hour. You can find more information in the user manual:https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hd2237_72/hd2237_72_dfu_eng.pdf. Hope this helps. I’m a 70 year old male living alone and have zero cooking skills. Reading these reviews, I’ve decided to give this cooker a try but my one concern is perhaps a 6lt pot is not suitable to use for only one person. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Steve,

Thank you for reaching out to us, and for your interest in the All-In-One Multi-Cooker. The 6L pot is indeed quite big, but you don't have to fill it up completely, of course. :) However, having a 6L pot also means you can cook for multiple days in one go. ;)
Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, just let us know.

Hi DBS
It all depends on what you are cooking. For example if you are doing pulled pork you would cook it on low setting for 7 hours. What are you planning on cooking

I just don’t see where there is either a low or a high setting on the Flavormaster. That’s what my question is really about. I really just want to know at what temperature the low or the high would be on that machine.I know that that feature is on regular slow cookers. I just don’t see any difference on the flavour Master.

I have purchased HD2237 AIO. The recipe book does not provide any guidance on cooking plain rice. The pot does not have any marks for water level.
How do I cook al dente basmati rice? What is the ratio of water for one cup rice? What time should I set in the manual mode of pressure cooker. Should I allow natural pressure release.
I used two cup water to one cup basmati rice, used rice setting for 14 min cooking time and let the pressure release naturally. The rice was over cooked for my liking.
Want to learn from experience of others.

How do I reduce the steaming time - eg for asparagus as opposed to potato pieces which are10mins?

3 answers
neo
neo

I haven't tried steaming yet, but same way for other items; once steam is selected, press "cooking time" & then the "-" button until the time comes down from 10 minutes (5 is the least). Get the water boiling (steaming) well before putting in the asparagus, and as soon as the 5 minutes is up, gently & carefully "Vent" (watch your fingers) to release the pressure as quickly as you can to stop overcooking. Once safety floater has dropped, take off lid and check. If 5 minutes is too long for asparagus, try the manual pressure cooking setting with the steamer insert as you can go down to 2 minutes cooking time.
