Thank you for the question! We strongly advise against using a dishwasher for that - please find the interior cleaning instructions below, for your convenience:

Inside of the top lid and the main body:
• Wipe with wrung out and damp cloth.
• Make sure to remove all the food residues stuck to the electric pressure cooker.
Heating element:
• Wipe with wrung out and damp cloth.
• Remove food residues with wrung out and damp cloth.
Sealing ring:
• Soak in warm water and clean with sponge.
Inner lid:

Where can I get a book with recipes please? I’m vegetarian so the hand book that came with it was not useful as mainly meat dishes. Can anyone help?
Also, with yoghurt, the old 2217 has recipes using 1 liter of milk plus 200ml yoghurt to make yoghurt. This one has 2 liters of milk! That’s a lot of yoghurt for 1. Can I use the recipes in the old 2217 handbook?

2 answers
Philips
Philips S.Philips

Hi Jacqueline,

Thank you for the questions. We understand that there might not be as many vegetarian recipes in the original handbook as you would've liked, so we would advise searching for them online - in the meantime, your feedback is duly noted!
As for your second question, the recipes in the handbook are merely an indication - you're always welcome to experiment, rearrange and alter the exact numbers, and see how things come out. We hope this is helpful!

It depends on the amount of food /liquid that is in the bowl for stews . If it pops up or not .

With cakes or bake mode it stays down .

The plus is for risotto you put everything in no stirring and you can leave it warm till you come home

What is the difference between the hd2217 and the hd2237

1 answer
Mez
Mez

The hd2237 has only been out since March so a newer model, differences are, 1300w rather than 1000w so heats up quicker, the non stick pot has an improved surface and it comes with a decent cook book. You can get an additional pot ($50) that is stainless steel so good for cooking bones. The good guys have an offer that ends in a couple of days offering it as a bonus and cost is $179. I paid $168 and had to buy the ss one seperarely. There is also a great FB group you can join that is really helpful.

Put in 4 cups of rice into the pan and then add water to the 4 cup mark (I add a bit extra for the rice I use Basmati) use manual setting to rice mark and press start.
I break it down to small portions and freeze. To use just put 2 tablespoons of cold water on container microwave 2 mins stir and microwave a further 1 minute (approx. 250 grms) need to adjust to suit. Hope this helps

Does it have a none scratch bowl for easy cleaning if I slightly over cook?

Janet
Janet

The bowl I have found is one of the easiest ones to clean being non stick surface and and providing you do not use metal tools it will not scratch, I use packet flavourings and if not sufficient liquid can stick a little on pressure cook setting but easy to clean. McCormack flavoring on slow cook high or low are perfect no sticking Hope this helps

Past baby food stage but on manual 59 mins pea and ham soup, the meat falls of the bone so possible the same for chicken, but never done it

Hi there,

Thank you for the question. While the interior is not non-scratch by definition, it should be no problem to clean it as long as the instructions in the manual have been followed. As for specific cooking times, we'd recommend referring to our recipe book right here: https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hd2237_72/hd2237_72_rbl_aen.pdf. We hope this is helpful!

Hi, Tania. Thanks for taking the time to ask your question here. Baking and steaming is not possible at the same time with the All-In-One Cooker. However, if we may suggest something: steamed fish is usually supertasty too. And this way, you'll be able to prepare your fish and vegetables at the same time!
