There are many fakes photos and IDs, specially women /girls photos
They are all scams compare to others applications
Asking for money/credit cards/ and upgrades to full accounts
Keep getting scam msg and emails

You will spend an hour filling up lengthy stupid questionnaires and then few hours later your profile is deleted for no obvious reason. They are just collecting information for marketing companies. Stay away from them!

Most of the profiles are fake.
The filter/settings don't work so 95% of the profiles that do exist are from people out of state. I emailed POF customer support telling them that this was useless as the people who were contacting me might as well live in a totally different country due to the distances involved. Customer support replied saying that they had changed things their end so it would not happen anymore - nothing had changed.
They also make it incredibly hard to cancel your subscription. I had to visit my bank to ensure they did not take any further payments.
Avoid this site please - they just want your money and don't provide a service!

Pof in Australia is always playing up..can't edit profile..10 times a date asks to rate it..and during a chat, which is demonstrating how desperate pof management is..99% of all women's profile are so old,they don't respond . And the others are fakes..

What a piece of crap site. 10 mins joining, 15 fake scamming people messaging from all over the world except where I live. PoF Admins just scamming customers out of good hard earned money. Being reported to the appropriate Consumer affairs...

90% of profiles are fake. Don't waste your precious time or money. The site does nothing to reduce the number of fake profiles and scammers. And the quality of the actual real people on here is not very high at all.

The site is a scam with false profiles and people pushing you into apps you don't need example as above could not be connected and each time the site sent me to another site I responded to admin with the outcome being " you have done something wrong" after a couple of goes at this and adding my bank card details I got notification that I had joined another site. My card was declined on Pof site so they asked for another card. I told them there was no other card and since then I have not deem able to log into the site I relieve this site is a scam.

Online dating in 2020 is dead. unless you’re a dead set gorgeous spunk girls won’t respond to any messages so don’t waste your time. Go and live in the real world

I tried this site out of desperation, as most probably would. Within half an hour the scammers started bombarding me. Always typed in broken english and then, the punch line......."do you have skype?" Absolutely disgraceful how this site allows these scams. Don't even bother.

Hi I used the site for two months and was chatting to a lady for one month on it and then all of a sudden she disappeared and then the site kept telling me my my profile needed upgrading. Not sure if she left or the site blocked our msgs to get money

Returned to the site after a long absence and sought a different date range. Search ignores the date range I enter and keeps resetting itself. I have tried it on a laptop with a basic and an advanced search and in desperation, installed the app on my phone but still the same problem. Any change to age I make it ignore. Pretty useless to have a dating site where I cannot set the date range I am seeking. What a waste of time and effort. Just pleased I found this before paying any money to them. Do not waste your time with a product that ignores a critical seach data.

Please people to not join or pay for this site, Plenty of scammers and fake profiles. The people who run this site don't give a damn and there is absolutely no help from staff.
All they care about is getting your money. There are other better sites out there. You have been warned!

You cant contact those more than 14 years older or younger than you are, 9 if 22 .
They charge to see section with those who are interested in meeting you.

This is my 3rd day on POF.
I tried POF years ago, but don't remember it being this bad.

Most of the replies I have received have been from Escort girls & fake profiles.

Most of my time has been spent reporting these profiles to support & sending "Test" questions to those I'm interested in to see if they are real.

It's frustrating & disappointing to say the least and worst of all, it feels unsafe.

Every communication feels risky & im constantly concerned if I'm going to get hacked.

Avoid at all costs. Staff are either stupid or complicite in the scam. Account hacked and closed after 2 days. Dozens of trolls trying to get you to cam girl site. Staff say open new account and pay again. Yeah right as if. 8 months membership blown in 2 days. You will spend hours being trolled by dirty hooker skanks with fake pics.

Waste of money and time and beware only scammers on the site they will ask you to send your email first after they led you to the page where you have to use your cc and you will get ripped off!!!

200 profiles interacted with, only managed 2 got email or phone contact details, 80% will ghost you after exchanging 2 messages, 1 in 20 are polite to say you not really what im looking for good luck fishing ect.
There is a general rule 4 to 1 men to women on dating sites and women in general follow 80/20 rule ie 80% of women only find 20% of men average or better, using basic maths average guy has 1% chance of getting a date.

Joined pof 2 weeks ago. Hit up by scammers bigtime. Last night my profile got hacked. After several emails and the threat of legal action i now have my money back. Pain on the butt as i had to go thru and change every password i have as they hacked my email as well. Dodgy site, avoid like the plague.

After I paid for membership and set up my profile, I immediately got scammers contacting me calling me Hon and babe, All fairly good looking women who said they liked my profile and pictures, yet none had actually looked at my profile (you can see who views you with paid membership). One of the main scams was trying to sweet talk me into a video chatting… Which I never fell for. This site may have been good in the past but it is now shockingly full of scammers

Do not join this Scam.
They took money from my c.c. unauthorized and it was a lengthy process to return it only after I mentioned legal action..
It appears many others are unhappy also about fake accounts.

Stay away from Plentry of fish...it has so many fake profiles you're wasting your time. Don't pay to join..they will tell you all these profiles want to meet you but you have to pay to see them and when you do pay the subscription the women that they said wanted to meet you disappear. The whole site is a SCAM..STAY AWAY!!!!!

I opened an account / profile on this site. I upgraded my account for a fee, only to find that my account has been used to message people in an attempt to scam them,
I've been sent abusive responses from people and never once did I actually send those emails
I read the sent messages and see that there are dozens and dozens of sent messages all scamming
so in essence you pay for them to scam people
Stay away from this site!!!

Less than 24 hours and I can't get into my account. Had heaps of replies but then a weird one from US where person did not answer but just said "tell me more about yourself' I just said I thought he had probably stolen the ID and was he really from US and then that was the end of my account and you can't even sign up again. There were 2 local prospects and now I'll never know who they are...grrrrr… and there is no way to complain! Such a shame it is an automated site that nasty people can just get you booted off any time.

I joined few days ago after having couple of years break only not to be able to log on back this morning. I've tried logging on and found out that I was booted off due to blocking too many members. What a joke! Most of these are fake people, rude, crude and waste of time. So I get kicked off for blocking men who are being rude and disrespectful but are these scammers getting kicked off? I have just tried to make another account with different e-mail address and it will not let me sign up. Waste of freaking time!!! It used to be a good site 10 or so years ago but it's gone down the s***!!! Don't bother!

This site has multiple fake profiles being generated daily.
They use the profiles to show interest in you to try and make you upgrade.

This is fraudulent behaviour.

The site should be closed down.

At least 95% of female profiles here are fakes (scammers) or prostitutes. Paying a subscription was a complete waste of money. It will waste less time if you put your money in the trash than paying to subscribe here. This site, like many dating sites, makes no effort to implement any anti-scammer checks ... it’s purpose is solely to rip off money from lonely pathetic men.

Biggest waste of money! Every single message I received was from fake profiles asking me to click links, sign up to webcams, ect. Complained and they refused to refund monies.

Why, after spending an hour completing a profile, did I get bumped off the site and unable to log in. Repeated requests to reset my passwords have not fixed the problem.

I’ve had 3 scammers send me messages on POF they have similar MO’s very attractive not many pictures and want you to move to another site to communicate ie email, Facebook. But ask them some standard questions and they’ll make all sorts of excuses or delays to answer!

The scammers are using local suburbs and can even tell you the name of a street! One gave me the name of a street that has no houses on it! If you're serious about finding someone NOT JOIN THIS SITE.

Been on this site on and off for about a year, message people and get no response and when you do they just cut you off and you never hear from them again. Most of the profiles are fake and what's with the meet me feature it just shows you women that live in another state really going to travel to 500kms to go on a date, don't waste your time and money you would be better off without it.

I just could not believe what happened once I upgraded my account by paying for my subscription:
The number of responses actually dropped, and contacts from prostitutes and scammers went way up.
I was so frustrated I wanted out after a couple of days but, customer service refused to accept my request.
I was stuck with this useless subscription for 3 whole months. I am glad it is going to be over in a week.
Never again. No POF for me, thank you.
This site was quite good when it was totally free, 10 years ago. The company was very different then.
I recommend avoiding POF and finding a better, cleaner, more effective site to find a partner.
