Please conduct yourselves in a professional manner
After emailing the entity employees. I went through for a tour early Feb 2021. When I met the employee on site. Early on in the conversation the employee also suggested the same brand gym in the next suburb. Alarm bell for me. After the necessary questions including taking up the free assessment. I later phoned to set up a assessment in the early evening. As work commitments came up later I called to cancel. I emailed to set up an appointment for a week later. I got no response and called to confirm. To which I had another employee talk ...
Read moreto me in a disrespectful manner as her senior and not a child I found it unnecessary. Alarm bell again. I was accused of making numerous calls to her colleague the previous day. I set the records straight and told her about, one call to make an appointment and one to cancel. As a honourable action is that numerous calls? I emailed to ask the same person for the future appointment and put my dispersion to her exaggerated statements kindly to rest. I then got a confirmation for an appointment for a week later. A few days before the due appointment another employee that I had not dealt with cancelled. Stating there was shortage with staff to do an initial free assessment. After emailing to ask for a future day. I got the response to not delay and use the competitor's service. Alarm bell. A few days later I put forward the idea to use the gym and they could delay the free assessment until better staffed. I wanted to understand their way of business conduct. Alarm bell again no direct response to my proposal since. That is not the manner to advertise for business and then behave in such a sequence of behaviour/conduct. I have the sequence of emails to verify my statements.
Eastwood fitness is a joke
Terrible staff as they are cut my phone after I said I am cancelling my membership and not even answering my call and still I am paying money for no reason.

Fined $250 for not acting as door security and obstructing others entry after me
Company issued me with a fee of $250 for not obstructing the person who entered behind me when he did not swipe his card. By inducing people to enforce their door policy (advertised throughout the gym, policy and contract) they are actively putting their customers in harms way in the event of a dispute between member and non access card carriers. All businesses are required to provide a safe and secure environment. Best to avoid any other gym that puts you in harms way. 24h gyms are not the first business that need to consider site security and a lot more can be do to relief the customer of the business' safety obligations.

Smelly Gym, misled all members
The smelliest gym you could ever come across. The stench of body odour and lack of cleanliness was appalling. The PT trainers themselves smelt. Just shocking. Medowie Plus Fitness never reopened after Covid. They asked for $6.50 to help get through covid yet they never opened again. So where did the $6.50 that we paid go?
After doing my research I found out it went into liquidation and done the runner from the landlord.
Can’t cancel membership because we need to go in person but we have no where to go, unless we wanted to drive 40min to Next closest one. Mislead all members being told it would re open but we would never sign up again, customer service was shocking and staff were not professional.

$30 ? Keep it! BUT after the service I got ? GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!
Communication gap, knowledge gap, service delivery gap... How can service delivery be so lacking for just ONE location? Emails take weeks to be replied to, complaints mean nothing; no apology nor acknowledgement of complaints! Not sure about other locations but this gym is definitely only here for sales and forget the reason they have jobs in the first place. CUSTOMERS!!

Horrible cancellation policy. Unhelpful staff.
Staff at North Sydney Plus Fitness use their contract clauses to continue to pry funds from members instead of helping them during tough times. I tried to cancel my membership over a month ago, instead of sending the cancellation form via email they insisted I come all the way into the home gym which I do not live near. They didn’t put my membership on pause in the meantime and forced me to pay for two more pay cycles. When I was able to attend the gym early September and sign the cancellation form I asked if due to my financial circumstances t...
Read morehey would be able to count the funds I had paid to not attend the gym as my two week notification period. The staff member on duty said she was unable to process it and that the manager would do it. The next day the manager responded only after I emailed and called to find out what was happening. She said the form was invalid and that she couldn’t do anything due to the contract terms. They made me pay for another two weeks to then cancel my membership. Unethical, unhelpful, unsympathetic and overall very unpleasant to deal with. Avoid them.- Value for Money

Unethical
They store members details including bank account details for years even after cancelation. I canceled my membership, it clearly said, they will delete everything about me, they still had my details for a year when after I tried to sign up again.
I called financial ombudsman, lady there seemed to have no clue. I just had to change my bank account details. Unfortunately most places are nicer untill they get your details and then show their hypocricies later.

Terrible service and cancellation policy
Despite being ‘Easy cancellations’ I have had the run around since things reopened from COVID. There is no policy in place if you move away from your ‘home gym’ and they only offer cancellation if you physically go into your home gym to sign some papers. There is no leniency if you do not live near it anymore and no way to cancel unless you go on. I have not been in since May and my fees have been accumulating because they refuse to let me cancel. I have asked the plus fitness near me now if I can cancel there and they said no I have to do it a...
Read moret my ‘home gym’ plus fitness really need to review their cancellation policy and get with the time especially since most people right now don’t have a job or can’t leave their home. I will be taking this matter futher.

Rude staff at hoxton park gym and nothing seems to be done about it
Me and my husband have been members of plus fitness for years until we moved to a new house and the closest franchise happened to be plus fitness Hoxton Park. Immediately we came across a really arrogant and disrespectful staff member. Unfortunately ended up canceling our memberships for good because of her outrageous behaviour and rude remarks.

Ridiculous cancel policy
If you want to cancel you need to go in. I have moved interstate and do not have a branch close. I asked if I can email a form and they said no you can only post it. A stupid policy trying to make it hard for people. I thought gyms stopped doing this kind of rubbish.

Overcharged me on several occasions.
They overcharged me on 3 occasions, said it was a dishonour fee for two and the money was clearly in my bank at the time, I have proof in my bank statement. I can only imagine how many customers they do this to make some extra money. Going to report it to the ACCC and hopefully, they will get audited and have to pay back all the people they overcharge.
Then they tried to bully me into paying an extra two weeks when I demanded that they cancel the membership. They also have an unjust system where you have to go into the premises in person to...
Read more cancel the membership. Why can one cancel a bank account online or with a phone call, but cannot cancel a gym membership in the same way? It's a bully tactic they employ to make it hard for people to cancel so they can keep charging them. Needless to say, I will not be paying them an extra 2 weeks and I won't go into sign a cancellation form. They have lost me as a customer forever, I will try a different gym.- Transparency

Bad experience with Plus Fitness Fitzroy
I had a really terrible experience cancelling my membership with Plus Fitness Fitzroy. Despite there being "no lock in contracts" and having given them well over 14 days written notice, when I visited the club in person on the final day of my timehold to sign my cancellation form, Plus Fitness had already attempted to debit $27.90 (a two week membership fee). As I didn't have this money in my account, I was charged a $15.90 dishonour fee and an additional $27.90 (making it one month of membership fees in total). They did agree to waive the seco...

Impossible to cancel contracts
I went into hospital sick half way through my pregnancy and nearly 10mths on, with a child in and out of hospital I am STILL trying to cancel my contract. The clincher is, you have to go in person BUT my local stores manned ours are 1-2 (lunch time) AND often there is no one there during this period. My baby is not meant to be going out in public so this simply hasn't been a viable option for me. I have explained this at length to staff who to be frank, couldn't have cared less.

Plus Fitness Lidcombe, NSW - Worst Customer Service and Poorly Maintained Gym
Plus Fitness Lidcombe (2/82 Parramatta Rd, Lidcombe NSW 2141)
I was approached by the Staff member at around 6:30 am (16.12.2019) when I was punching the bag with my barefoot. The guy (who mentioned that he runs the gym) told me to put on my shoes if I want to continue punching the bag. The way he approached me was extremely arrogant and bossy. Anyway, I responded that I have my shoes, but I take them off when I punch the bag only as its way more comfortable for me to punch the bag when I'm barefoot, especially when I punch with my legs too (...
Read morepeople who did any Mixed Martial Arts will understand the significance of being barefoot). He responded on this as the following: I don't care what you're saying (His Direct Words). Since I don't tolerate ANY ATTITUDE like this from ANYONE towards Me, I raised my voice to make sure other people around can hear that this guy has no Respect and any Customer Service and this is the way customers are being treated here. Going back and forth for a couple of minutes I was trying to understand his position to come up with the alternative, which means I was trying to do his job to find a compromise. As you may understand his main argument was that I can injure myself and sue his gym for some compensation. However, I (not him) SUGGESTED to give me some paper to sign to confirm that I take full responsibility, but he was too LAZY to download some form and give it to me to solve the issue within seconds. Instead he preferred keep telling me to put on my shoes or to get out. He also advised to look for the professional place to punch bags as his gym is the commercial one as per his direct words. As I explained that I'm not a big pro at MMA as I just combine my weight lifting and the bag punch as my cardio. As you can image he absolutely didn't care about my reasons at all. This is the typical attitude of a person who has a huge EGO and who needs to put other people down to feel empowered in order to compensate for his some poor achievements in other departments of his life. I'm not going to this gym anymore not only because there is no Customer Service and no Minimum Respect to Customers, but also because there are machines being Not Maintained at all (Squeaking horribly) and Super Old Weight Plates from the previous century, Scattered around the gym.- Value for Money

Bad service
Would not recommend the Dalyellup gym as the service is very rude and unprofessional. They do not communicate and update details as provided to them and just blame the member, very unprofessional. When you communicate with them they don't reply and send your details to a collection agency within 24 hours. Absolutely disgusting service as it is all there fault.

Staff/Member Relations
The whole place is a family affair run fitness club. The staff are totally and utterly arrogant, ignorant and rude. The personal trainer who I must say has had quite a few complaints about her professionalism is so unprofessional and quite often walks around with phone in hand whilst still attending to clients, and disregards even being polite and interacting with other gym members. I experienced first hand when cancelling my membership that the staff there were quite rude and subsequently didnt want too know you. And furthermore subsequent reports will be sent to head office.
Absolutely disgusted.
