Love it ! hello moist and tender turkey for Christmas !
Fantastic Product, love the whole thing can rotate on my counter, love that the hose on the back can empty the water out and i no longer have to lift and empty it ! Love that the water is circulated ! love the lid design, my old one used to get very wet ! window is really of no use, as it steams up though ? easy controls. Only wish it was a touch bigger !!

New way to cook at home made easier
Panic! I couldn't turn it on! I had lost the instructions under papers while unpacking so tried to guess how to make it go. Found the page. Very Simple...but need to read the instructions just to get it to start then do everything perfectly according to the instructions because it only has two buttons to press...power 5 secs, set just touch, confirm-start 2 secs, power-plus-set to change from C to F...pity the thing could have an intelligent readout with prompts! perhaps in another incarnation...

he time to run, It heated the water very quickly and proceeded for the two hours dialed. During that time the temperature of everywhere in the pot stayed within a small fraction of a degree (using a digital temperature probe). I like it because it goes and does exactly what it says it does. The water doesn't have to be high --- just enough to be sucked in, flow over the outside (from up the top of the tube) and rotate-swirl all the water in the pot. So after a couple of careful tests I'm thrilled because it works, seems well made and enables me to use lots of sizes of pots (and it can do pots as big as any because of its powerful heater). The next time I turned it on, after taking it out cold, it made rattling-grinding noises then just got water hot around it. The people at Kitchen Warehouse gave me another one instantly and that's working beautifully. i've no idea why the other one failed but if modern stuff was to be tested individually everything would cost many times too much so I've no complaints about the occasional dead-on-arrival/whatever. I resolved a mystery about this "sous" thing: Pink meat (like pork and veal as compared with seriously "red" meat like steak) goes less pink but after cooking steak for hours at 56.5c it came out perfectly as medium rare all the way through (a gigantic grass-fed perfectly-hung 3cm T-bone). By comparison an Aldi white-fat "porterhouse" steak, which seemed young ("veal"? -- not much red which is not actual blood -- the red-coloured juice people think is blood) The originally pink say "veal" cooked for a few hours at 50C and got to look like medium yet tasted like medium-rare. [I checked the other day's "veal" type steak's internal temperature with digital thermometer while browning; it didn't get above about 55.]2 comments
Since writing the above the temperature monitor failed, decided the water was always too hot so never turned the power on; out of warranty; chucked; useless.
I ordered a different brand (same stick-ty... Read more

Harvey norman....Found that when you press the buttons it doesn't select what u choose there for had to restart from power point..The size of the. Water bath is 9 litres could have done with a bigger bath .Just easier when cooking ..Taste of meats were fantastic.Second to none but be prepared to wait up to78 hours lol for a roast piece of meat.......I've still yet to master cooking a whole meal in there together.Eg.I cooked masala chicken...Read more
breasts which were at a certain temp and time which is a must espec for chicken..The veggies required less time yet at a higher temp so I cooked them the same length of time as chicken which was almost double the time.Flavours were sensational meat juicy and tender..But veggies were still slightly hard... Overall great machine but completely a different way of cooking...No recipe book which sucked big time especially with a expensive and unusual machine..Also head office in Adelaide were absolutely useless ..Similar opinion? Sorry the picture is of a sousvide with the circulation-heating integrated with the container. The one I reviewed is a stick-like thing that goes into a large pot and circulates water at specific temperatures seriously accurately.
