Embarrassingly good
On a blind tasting the Riccadonna came in as the top pick at a lunch for some finicky drinkers.
Embarrassing, because this $13 wine was chosen over the more expensive varieties.
Comes in both white and red and both get good reviews on the Dan Murphy's site.
Drink to enjoy, not to impress.

Sugary water taste
Twenty years ago my brother proposed to his first wife with this wine and it became a family favourite, it had a beautiful, sparkling almost raisin-like taste. Yes it was kind of sweet but with body and flavour. Recently it tastes just like sugary water. Will never buy again!

Perfect!
Reasonably priced for an Italian bubbly. Am not a wine, champagne or bubbly drinker, but Love it and can drink it on my own. Will be buying more.

Refreshing sparkling
I find the classic flavour really great for small family gatherings and special occasions. Its full flabour that is not too sweet and is just the right partner for any family celebration. I am now ordering it every time we have such occasions.

Surprisingly good
I don't usually like bubblies unless they are sweet and this one hits the mark.
Better than the cheaper spumantes the quality shines through. I was introduced to this by my brother in law and my man likes it also. That tells you it is enjoyable without being sickly sweet.

Nice sweet
My boss first for me into this. I've never been a wine drinker as I have a sweet tooth. But this is very nice not sickly sweet but Just right of you have a sweet tooth.i have nothing bad to say about it other than its imported. Brown brothers do an Australian Zibbibo. Often comes gift boxed makes an excellent present.

A classic
I like to try different alcohols, especially champagnes, but I'm often disappointed with the selections I end up with. Riccadonna is probably my old faithful drink, it always tastes great and is good for just about all occasions.
I have tried the other variations of Riccadonna and they're all quite nice but this one is by-far my favourite. Not too dry, not too sweet either - its actually got the perfect sweetness to it.
Highly recommend!
Not too sweet, bubbly and slightly fruity
Isn't dirt cheap like other wines/champagnes but is well worth the price

Excellent
Riccadonna Asti Spumante is delicious tasting sparkling wine. It is readily available. It is great for taking to friend's places, barbecues or parties. It is great for chicken or fish dishes, and I have regularly enjoyed it with spaghetti. It can even be consumed with cheese and fruit platters. A very fruity and delicious wine perfect to take to a friends or to give as a gift.
A great sparkling wine to share (or not if you are greedy like me) Sweet and luscious fruity taste that reminds me of summer.
Nothing I dislike about this product. It has no cons

OK
A very sweet wine that is full of luscious grapes and glorious sunshine. I might enjoy it best with something like sticky date pudding, chocolates for breakfast, or one of Auntie's legendary cream filled sponge cakes
This would have to be a great wine for one of your aunties. Perhaps the one with a really sweet tooth who likes a few bubbles tickling her tonsils at family parties. I prefer something a whole lot drier, but might keep a couple of bottles in the back of the fridge for people like my Aunty, she would find this heavenly.

Excellent
What a lovely fruity bubbly wine-I have never been one to enjoy alcohol of any kind but a friend talked me into trying a glass of this and because I have a love of sweet things I was sold. So nice with nibblies or chinese food and a great drink in the summer for the festive season.
So easy to enjoy....

What is the life of an unopened bottle riccadonna?
1 answer
As it is a less expensive, non vintage champagne/sparkling wine it should be consumed within the first few months of purchase. It depends how it has been stored. If it cas been appropriately cool and dark and on its side I would drink it if it was longer. I lifted the following from a website:
"Vintage champagnes and champagnes generally known for their quality and longevity can be stored for 10 years and the exceptional vintages and brands may be stored for decades. Allowing a great champagne to age longer in the bottle may soften the carbonation, lessen the fruity acidity and create a fuller bodied rich taste. Similar to wine gifts, the less fruity champagne gifts are better candidates to age well."

Is it a desert wine?

Hi. Its not a sticky wine so no not what id call a dessert wine. But it does go really well with chocolate.. Its similar to brown brothers zibbibo
Hi, it is a sparkling Spumante which makes it sweet and then the bubbles cut through so it would depend what you are looking for in a desert wine. Some may say it would be suitable as a sparkling desert wine.
