Samsung dud
Bought this for my mother. Worked well for 2 years (except for the glacial EPG). Has now failed (blank screen with occasional flash), audio still working. Fault diagnosed as one of the boards on the back - Google it, there are plenty of people out there with the same problem -I won't be spending money on repairs. Hello Panasonic, LG or Sony.

Good TV. Works well so far
We purchased this smart TV from Harvey norman two years ago. The TV is working well so far. Our main concern was with youtube, foxtel and netflix app and it seems to be working. The only issue is with typing of characters. I think navigation can be improved in samsung. Unit's built in speakers are ok for the price.

Colorful
The TV's picture quality is very good. After-sales service is also very good. The whole family liked the TV and was happy with the joy of the whole family. If we plan to change a TV, we will also choose Samsung TV. Have to say that it is really good.

Good TV, basic settings
On the face of it, this is a great TV. The picture is great, it's got great connectivity with the USB port and HDMI ports up the back. Pretty straight forward set up and not too complex settings to choose from. However, basic things it's lacking are like, there is no inbuilt channel info which other Samsung's have. So overall, a great basic TV that looks impressive. Not much beyond that unfortunately

Like all things Samsung
Tv worked well for almost 2 years but like all other Samsung tv's I have had something dies just outside of warranty. So far I have had internal memory fail and 2 HDMI boards on three TV's I guess I'm lucky they don't have internal batteries because they probably would have exploded by now. I have also 1 Panasonic TV older than all the Samsung's and still going strong it may have been a little more expensive to purchase but well worth it. I would never recommend any Samsung product to anyone. They might have the best bang for buck but its not w...Read more
orth it. For a TV spend the cash on a decent Panasonic or Sony. Samsung might make the displays in the Sony's and Panasonic's but they don't make the driver boards and that is where Samsungs tv's fall apart.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good standard no frills basic TV
We are a household of 3 and watch fox tel on it everyday, pretty satisfied with the Telly :)
TV was bought a year ago just before the prices went down, i believe Samsung no longer make this model however may still be sold at the shops. Works well connected to Foxtel, DVD, USB drive or stick and HDMI. I connect my laptop via HDMI to watch stuff. This TV is a good choice for the person who just wants a straight, simple TV and isnt a tech person.
However if you are a tech person and want to connect it to the net, wireless and so forth, this TV doesnt have wifi.

Good picture quality
I bought this 22inch TV a few months ago for the dinning room because it was the only size that fitted the corner recess. The is full HD and the picture quality is very good viewed at the dinner table about 2 metres away.
The colour contrast is excellent.
The horizontal viewing angles are reasonable but he vertical viewing angles are not as good when mounted above eye level.
The TV reception is marginal with rabbit's ear antenna for our location. I have to tweak the anntenae now and again to get a good picture. If you have bad reception i...Read more
n your area I suggest you connect an external antenae. The speakers sound tinny compared to the larger TVs around the house. There are no audio outputs that can be connected to external speakers. You could possibly connect the earphone jack to an amplifier to get a better sound or alternatively connect the HDMI port to a HDMI compatible amplifier. The USB port only supports play mode and you cannot record programs from the TV. The port supports USB memory sticks and portable hard disk drives .Similar opinion? A Great Computer Display (That's Also A Top TV)
No...
This featherweight TV does NOT work well for games (or any fast-motion material) that are merely plugged in to its baseband video or component inputs...
...BUT...
...provided we connect to its HDMI inputs via a latest generation cable...
...we've suddenly got ourselves a top-quality, anti-glare, high resolution and colour-accurate high-definition display with full "plug and play" operation via a single cable into either of its individually selectable HDMI ports.

Kicking Myself
Our 46" Samsung LCD TV started to get what appears to be something like static lines in the bottom LH 1/4 of the screen and was slowing spreading L to R.
We decided to buy a new tv but cheaper this time as the expensive ones don't last any longer IOO. So today we bought yet another Samsung because of the picture quality to our aging eyes. The model we bought is the UA50F5000AM.
I am now kicking myself for not checking the TV closer in the shop for connectivity, this TV has virtually none which is absolutely inexcusable in this day and age o...Read more

Input selection poor design
I got this TV as a replacement for a very dumb "Smart" TV. Very good picture and easy to use.
Disappointing that Component and AV use the same connectors. My setup had HDMI1as a twin tuner HD recorder, HDMI2 a Raspberry Pi Media Server, Component as DVD player and... where does the Wii go? I cannot use the Component and the AV as the only one set of connectors are shared. What's with that Samsung????? My grand daughters will be very upset.
Good picture and easy to use, and with a Raspberry Pi running XBMC, makes a very good "Smart" TV.
Shared Component and AV connectors. A big thumbs down Samsung for an otherwise great set.

Good but not great
I received this model as a warranty replacement from Harvey Norman as the 32 inch LG I purchased last year decided to retire early. The set itself is very light and very easy to mount on a wall. However after installing it and running through the setup (which was an easy step by step wizard and takes about 5 minutes) I found the signal quality it was receiving was poor causing the picture to pixelate and skip. To cut a long story short, I had to also install a mast head amplifier on my antenna to get it to work which added more to the total cos...Read more
t of the set (I only have 2 antenna points in my house). After the extra costs involved in setting this up when it was supposed to be a simple swap for my old LG I would probably hesitate before recommending this set to anyone. Very light TV set. Great picture quality. Easy to set up. Appears to not have a very good quality tuner. Does not come with M8 bolts for wall mounting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I have had this model Tv for about 2 and a half years now, and it has developed a big white circle in the bottom left corner now and the screen picture does not come on. i have also noticed that the screen has melted in the corner and warped the housing in this section. there is still audio coming through but no picture, more importantly tough the melting screen. Any suggestions?

hi Sara. yes i do have facebook, once in the page which link should i follow. i tried talking to the online website person, but they are more interested in if the TV is under warranty than the fact this is a manufacturer defect of some sort and the screen has begun melting in that specific corner. i have photo's of this. If there is a direct email i can send it to that would also be great
