Good for a couple of months but then.....
We spent quite a bit of money on this tv. Bought extended warranty to push it to 4 years just in case. Everything was fine for the first few months. Picture quality was good. Connected to internet without drama. Did exactly what we wanted.
Then after 12 months and changing internet providers we could no longer connect to out wireless. Couldn't connect to our router or any of two iPhone hotspots. It would search and give up and ask us to connect with a cable. not exactly what I want from a tv that cost over $4k. anyway we contacted samsung su...Read more

Bit of a Shame Really
The goal of buying this set was to get rid of the PVR, reduce power consumption, upgrade to LED 3D HD, and make DLNA as the primary method of sharing content on the TV, and do a bit Skype. Overall the potential is there but...
Features:
- DLNA worked well
- File types playable is a good range generally little problem
- 3D (never actually used)
- WiFi and LAN connections
- 3 HDMI, Optical Out (but doesn't support 5.1 with Sonos Playbar)
- Camera (don't really need it)
- Smart HUB, and external HD recording

- Hardware upgradeable using the EVO kit supplied by Samsung, which by the way does make a difference. Overall the features are generally very good. One more feature that would really make this an awesome all in one would be the ability to act as a media server as a source for DLNA content or Samba content Definitely should have a dual tuner (I thought this would be pretty much standard). From what I can make all the US and European models have that as standard. (what is it with Oz playing second fiddle to features in electronics) It would also be good if standard Google Play apps could be used. Image Quality: Up-scaling from standard def to full screen pretty much OK, HD is fine, and the image is generally crisp, on standard with Eco settings on. Product Quality: Really disappointed with Samsung on this. I bought this in June 2012 from Worlds Best Technology. Very shortly after setting it up the TV was resetting, and no amount of firmware upgrades was helping. I did a self diagnostic which indicated main board issues. Phoning Worlds Best Tech wasn't helpful, they referred me to Samsung, who then sent someone to have a look. They replaced the mainboard which didn't really help, and then shortly afterwards a new TV was sent by Samsung. About a year later and the same thing is happening again, the tv is resetting over and over until it has been on for a while. Looking around the web it appears there is a capacity component quality issue, and spending 10 bucks to solder in a good quality one is possible if your keen to do it yourself. There was also apparently class action against Samsung on this issue, but following the links showed it had been removed from various forums (most likely due to legalities). However playing around the different sources indicates that network related hardware is more likely the issue for me. Support: Overall I was pretty happy with support from Samsung, but at the end of the day, if the engineering doesn't stand up then unless they come and do the cooking and cleaning as well then support was only able to take it so far. Obviously calling them now means they will wash their hands of it, as the warranty period has just ended. Fixing it will cost nearly as much to buy a new one. I have contacted them again recently and there is no response. Buy Again: No way, I am pretty much staying away from Samsung. I think Panasonic will be my next choice, and if I can't get past this warm the set up until the resetting stops business that may be sooner than later. I think that TV sets should have a mandatory 3 year warranty on them as this is what I think is a reasonable period of time before any failures and in line with the consumer laws around fit for purpose for a reasonably expected time based on the product/service type. Features mostly there, good screen quality No dual tuner, poor hardware and component quality, resetting all the time, can't use as DLNA media source

Great TV
This would have to be the best TV ever. No remote needed. 3D is really good. 1000's of free videos when connected to internet. This is my second 3D TV the first one broke and i had a lot of trouble getting another one from the good guys. I wouldn't buy Samsung again. I brought a S/sound system as well it broke too after 2 weeks. Good guys wouldn't give me a new one so i had to seed it back to the service center, it took 8 weeks to get it back. Not good enough. Smart TV's are great you must get one. Just not a Samsung. Payed $3000 6 months ago ...Read more

Beware of faulty one
I have this 40ES7500 2 weeks ago that I bought in LULU Hupermarket (middle east), It goes over-heated after 3 days of using 2-3 hrs each day. The screen turns into grainy green in menu page and almost full tinted green in movie play and there is no red color or orange. The internet forum said it was because of the red color of LED engine or the color card was blown up, but it's not acceptable in this kind of expensive TV that blown up a couple of days in normal using. I put the TV back to exchange for a new one and the store gives me a new fres...Read more
h in the box TV with same model and I'm using this for 9 days already having no symptoms of any problem watching 5-6 hours daily for testing. Thanks to the samsung seller they replace the faulty one. Beside this bad experience of mine, the TV has good picture quality, motion is likely real, good remote and gesture controls, nice built-in and downloadable APPS like facebook, youtube, tweeter, 3D experience is above the others, in other words it is amazing TV, but beware sometimes they give you a faulty one. Nice design, picture is great, 3D features and internet are good. A bit sluggish while internet surfing. Can overheat.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not a lover of SBS
I had a four year old Panasonic plasma TV 50" that picked up all the SBS TV and audio channels, then I bought the Samsung 55" 7500 TV because I liked the picture but it didn't want to know about SBS,, called the Samsung support line and they tried the old firmware upgrade trick which made no difference, then they sent the tech out and he arranged a brand new TV, but alas still no SBS, so looks like the TV tuner on these TV's are poor design, sad that it couldn't work as well as a 4 year old TV, go Panasonic.
Nice clear bright picture
Really poor design HD TV tuner, can't beat four year old technology

Features galore but execution average
This was an upgrade from Samsung when our 7000 series was faulty after 2 weeks use. built in webcam, and speech/gesture recognition is a nice gimmick but not so useable the technology needs refining and we tend not to use it. The picture quality is great however when in a darkened movie or black screen there is obvious bleeding/clouding. didn't bother complaining though as it took 3 months for the last tv to be replaced. It looks aesthetically nice in our room, silver color and lack of border around the screen is really nice. HD image quality is great, and found watching sport on it really life like. Probably would look elsewhere for next purchase though.
Image quality, casing and appearance
too many gimmicks that aren't so user friendly.
