The TV failed after 5 years. It started switching itself off after 30 sec. Went though factory reset but no luck. Faulty main PCB was diagnosed. Samsung refused to provide any assistance and spare parts. Samsung Customer Service stated that this is within the expected lifespan of Samsung TVs. Say away from Samsung TVs..!!!!

I've got a ua55d6600 smart led tv only 1 1/2 yr ago, the tv gets so hot on the back panel, burns my USB & other devise that plugs in as usual use, the Internet had never fully connected, while we watching, no matter in blue ray or tv channel, the stupid tv turn off & on by itself. We brought the extended warranty & being taken away for 2 weeks to repair with this warrenty repairer call SSS, but when the tv come home, it is still doing the same thing as turning off & on itself, a few scratches in the tv stand & tv screen. If u think of buying Samsung, think again, I had tv lasted more than 10 yr before until I think they r too old fashion & dump them, however they r still playing good!

    Samsung's Dumb TV

    published

Don't believe that Samsung makes smart tv as this is so slow, cumbersome and poor picture quality. TV freeze's, takes ages to load when turning on or trying to change the channel. Don't bother trying to watch live sport coverage. Was assured this tv was 200hz when I bought it! yeah right. Sound quality is appalling, and don't get me started about trying to use the internet on the TV.
Rubbish. Be careful when buying tv's as they have do not play TV channel's thru them and have $$$ sound system's connected.
Looks good when turned off. My 8 year Panasonic plasma was smarter, better, faster than this rubbish

Smart Tv??? what a load of rubbish

Bought after the guy at HN (samsung rep) sold me on how smart the TV was... the fact that it could easily talk with my home network, my smart phone and my tablet (all Samsung)... yeah right, my old LG 3d speaks better to the other samsung gear. The tv, whilst easy to setup is terrible to use, slow on the internet and wont download apps. every time i connect to the preloaded apps, another update is required. overall, pretty sore at Samsung, waste of $1100.

Fantastic TV - but beware of latest version

    published

This TV is absolutely amazing. 1 year on I still marvel at the sharpness of the picture and the quality of colour. It's exceptional. I have foxtel HD and I'd really recommend getting this with it as normal TV. Looks pretty poor on it. I also like the usb slots. A warning, however I also bought a UA40ES6200M for my other house (supposedly the new version of this TV) and its terrible
    Picture quality, colour
Smart hub and Internet too difficult to use

So rapt we got this. We have a series 6 biggun, complete with 3D movies, which really do play well - come right out at you - then add a blu ray and a PVR, and u are laffing! Smarthub makes picking a cheap movie off netflix or bigpond sooo easy, as well as facebooking etc (if u are lying sick on the couch and all you can do is social pages or watch telly, it's perfect so my child says!) So, what else: great picture quality, huge screen, wonderful sound; we love it. Great present! In fact, so impressed we gave a smaller one to my sister of the same version.
Sound, networking, 3D (love that!) and the docos on smarthub in 3D also.
I couldn't put the stupid stand on but the wonderful Good Guys did it for me.

    Fantastic tv

Great tv, user friendly controls, sharp and clear picture, very slim line design. Easy to navigate smart hub with good selection of samsung apps. Built in wifi so connects to home network for internet browsing/skype/social networks/download movies etc. Several USB and HDMI outputs. Tv came with 1 set of 3D glasses which was a bonus. Previously owned plasma tv and cant believe the difference in quality with LED tv. Very pleased.

Excellent 2d picture, 3d picture is not Full HD

    published

Samsung D6600 has very attractive design, reasonable price compare to Series 7-8.
2D picture is excellent, clear and vivid colors, built-in player support various formats incl popular mkv, and .mov from my DSLR Canon Camera, It supports WiFi and DLNS, so you can watch movies from yr network hard drives without connecting it trough USB to TV (no more cables!) The only disadvantages found... no bluetooth, and no Full HD 3D, the picture in 3-D mode has artifacts and looks less resolution.
But it's not big deal, cause don't use 3-d often.
Inexpensive, excellent 2-d picture, best built-in HD player
No bluetooth, 3-d mode is not full HD

Use a reputable camera that has good reviews, something from Microsoft always works, I tend to shy away from TV manufacturers cameras as there is already an established Skype camera which works great in HD or SD

Sorry not sure but imagine Harvey Norman would be a good place if you specifically want that. Or go to Costco if nearby where they have newer models available.
