Don't say it is as bad as cheap Chinese containers, it is worse

published

OK. I write this review because my lunch has leaked from their containers and I feel super furious now.

I don't know why this brand has been a while in Coles and Wollies and can proudly boast "Made in New Zealand" as if this equals quality. To some extent, I really hope so. But it turns out to be super disappointing even for our first use: not airtight, not leak proof and not easy to clean (because they are plastic). TBH I've got two other containers made in China from ALDI, they are way better and equally cheap. Next time please don't complain we don't support local products, because you suck.

Purchased in January 2021 for A$10.00.

Was Made in New Zealand ... now Made in China ...

published

Quality not as good as it once was. This was once a very functional and quality item, now? Not so much. On the newer Sistema items, I have noticed that the seal comes off and that the clips are not functioning after some use on the Made in China items, thus making them disposable. They are not inexpensive either, so will not repurchase again. Bad move, Sistema!

Just as cheap as Chinese crap

published

Years ago I bought Sistema when they first came out, and they were fully airtight and leak proof. For the past 4 years every Sistema container I have bought leaks. You can tell how misshaped the blue silicon seals are, and they have thin spots so the liquid fully comes out. No matter what discount now, I will never buy this rubbish again.

So SAD that you have turned an excellent product into rubbish just to cheat the customer.

New sistema containers

published

I bought two of the new sistema containers. They are not leak proof as the advertisement on tv says so I’m presuming there not air tight all well. Not happy.

Worse performance than 20 cent takeaway containers

published

Not leakproof or microwave safe (despite both featured being heavily implied by the packaging), and break easily. Why bother? At least takeout containers can be microwaved, and I can buy 10 of those for a dollar.

Undurable cheap option

published

These containers used to be okay. They have recently become lower quality with leaking seals and clips falling off after a short period of time. One wash in the dishwasher and the seals seem to fall out or warp. What was once a brand we relied on has made us look for a new option. Same for the aluminium and plastic drink bottles made by sisters. Pity.

Just expensive containers

published

Sistema are just expensive fancy looking containers.
Recycled take away containers are cheaper and don’t leak as much as these. Was using one and it leaked sauce from my meal all through my bad and destroyed trading cards I had in my bag

Why add a gasket if it doesn't work. Better buying IKEA.

published

Sistema Klip It are meant to differentiate from other products because they have a rubber gasket. Problem is, they leak. How could you market something this way if it failed the most basic of tests. The clips also fall off. IKEA glass food storage containers apply pressure to a hollow gasket and it works perfectly. I can transport soup in my backpack on my bike, without any worries.

Waste of plastic

published

These containers do not seal and the clips break.
Further the Sistema plastic turn top drink bottles fail within a week and their lunchbox lids crack easily.
Complete waste of plastic and money.

Tastes like plastic

published

It doesn’t matter what you tell people on your website or in other reviews, every time I heat up my food in the microwave in one of your klip it “microwave safe“ boxes my food tastes like plastic. That is a massive quality issue which shouldn’t be there in such a big company like yours... it’s a freaking joke!

Sistema Klip It Plasticware 2Lt jug

published

Bought 2 Sistema Klip It Plastic ware 2Lt jugs from coles 2017. They are a the perfect size and fit in the fridge door.
What looks like a good sealing container leaks like a sieve. I telephoned Sistema who where not even familiar with their own products & advised to email via their web page. After filling in all my contact details and submitting my on-line inquiry I still get no response. My main concerns is that although the containers may look good, they do not seal, they leak and the contents may go off because the containers do not seal. Sistema is great if you want to overpay and store food in leaking containers!

Leaks. Seals dont work - cheap and nasty

published

I have foolishly purchased many Sistema containers at Coles and Woolies while they are on special.. BIG WASTE OF MONEY
Their containers don't seal.
Never place a Sistema container near good food as it will leak and seep the smell of its contents to the rest of your fridge.
Be careful pulling Sistema containers out of the fridge as they will leak!
Personally i am shocked this company still sells products in the Australian market as it is inferior and sub-standard.
Even if it SISTEMA is on special at Coles & Woolies AVOID BUYING IT!
You're better off buying the cheap "chinese takeaway" containers as they seal better and keep good fresher!
DO NOT WASTE YOU'RE MONEY ON SISTEMA

Leaks from the bottom. None of the seals stay intact. Crappiest product ever. The company who manufactures this product should be ashamed but of course as long as there making money who cares about quality and customer satisfaction.

tested, i can confirm its so not leak proof

published

I'm reading these comments and wondering if it really leaks. So off I went to Woolworths and bought two brand new different sizes of Sistema Klip It rectangle containers, And I got home and filled up with some water in each one, closed the lid and clip back the clips, and flip it upside down and to my surprise, the water just pours down as if you didn't close the lid, it's not just droplet drips down, it's more like water just gushing out, despite the rubber seal in the lid it does not prevent liquid escape outside which makes me cautious next time I use those containers because it's not definitely not soup friendly. But other than that, I guess it works ok, just like the other containers I've used in the past.

Not waterproof. Will spill in your bag

These have a terrible design. The clips do little to make these waterproof. Do not use them as lunch boxes. I've tested various versions and they consistently don't even containerate, bro.

ZERO rating I Will never buy another System product

published

Systema metal drink bottle LEAKED even though I had the spout tightly screwed in. I left it full of water, lying on its side on my bed.

The bottle has completely saturated and soaked through my bedding. I just had to change my entire bedding including wool quilt, sheets and mattress cover.

Surely you are not expected to keep your drink bottle upright at all times. And surely there should be a waterproof seal on the drinking spout.

I will NEVER EVER buy A Systema product again.

Once upon a time

published

We have moderate collection of sistema products and generally do what we expect . Have found their customer service very poor. Requested some replacement parts, sometime ago and not even a peekaboo to say we cant help or sorry you will need to purchase whole new container.
Since my original review 2 years ago I am finding these containers leak, not airtight and ants find their way in.
Recently I have started a collection of use Ice Cream containers which have been handy and are airtight and don't leak

Purchased in December 2021 for A$10.00.
