Previous Sistema containers were great but the new lid design means that you can’t get the lid off !! Went from best to not being used at all in out home.
Can’t believe that, when you have a great product, you stuff it up

the snaps have now been relocated to the edges of the lid. When the seal has been made, good luck getting the lid off! either the blue tabs rips off or you will end up deciding the contents are not worth the effort. The seal is too strong and you can't get a grip to get the lid off. why change a great product??

The original SYSTEMA system with the clips on the base is a far far better design and product.
The new design is clumsy and not intuitive.
Like SYSTEMA, but not the new system. This is not a fake review . . just a dissatisfied customer.

I have been promoting Sistema Klip-It storage containers for a few years and have built up a decent collection. I would like to advise you avoid the new ones with the clip tabs on the lid as they are horrible and the plastic is not the same as the old ones. They go soft in the microwave and create a vacuum inside making them dangerous to open when hot. I strongly suggest looking for the older ones with the clips on the container, not the lid as those ones are awesome. Down with the new and horrid design - Boo!

How things have changed and to think I was a product advocator of Sistema! These new ones are dangerously rubbish - the suction makes them impossible to open (liquid exploded all over the kitchen as one needs to use force to counter the lid). To make matters worse, another container melted in the microwave after 60 seconds due to flimsy wall design to which Sistema blamed poor user error when I raised this issue with them (why would we need instructions to use a microwave container?? Idiotic). Seriously, we need to band together and start a class action against this company! How can we seek out refunds? In all seriousness, they are going to be sued by some poor soul who will microwave soup that will explode just by opening the lid.

What on earth made you change the shape of your containers to these un-openable abominations? I have heaps of your old stuff, and bought the new shape sml square as they looked perfect for kids sandwiches. Well, they would be if the kids could actually open them. I guess I’ll have to go with decor in future.

Could we please have a video of the Sistema board served their lunch in one of their new containers!! That would be so much fun to watch! The containers are useless!

Not a very practical design. Hard to open and close. Seriously. I have the small and bigger ones. Whenever I take out food from freezer, I always have to wrestle with the clip to open, sometimes have to bang the container on the bench. The other day my husband tried opening one and one corner chipped off with the force he had to use.

I have used Sistema for years......but I won’t be buying any more after I have just wasted precious widows pension money on these new useless containers.
How do you expect elderly people to fight these containers to get the lid off without dropping the container and it’s contents to the floor.
Someone with sh.....it for brains must be their new designer.
Sistema, why, oh why didn’t you do proper research on these before releasing them for retail.
Sorry, it will have to be your opposition when I am purchasing additional containers.

While i agree with the other peoples comments i must say this does indicate an actual vacuum forms and its a better seal and liquids dont leak out.

With the older design if you shook it around with any liquid at all in it you would get some start to leak.

The new sistema containers are terrible, took a huge amount of strength with both hands to force the lid down and close. Unusable for the elderly or those with hand or arm strength issues. Previous model of these containers were great.

My god. These are truly awful now. I have been a long term customer and user. Not any more sadly. Beware if you purchase these. The clips come open and are a pain to close. Feels like cheap quality.

... stick it to them instead, its the new corporate decision model. I have over 5000 NZD invested in their "old" storage. Now I am screwed. The new ones are not only poorly made compared to their old stuff, they don't stack on the old ones. If someone up corporate a*** where the sun don't shine thought that this will make me throw out the old ones and go out and buy another 5000 NZD worth of storage, they are sadly mistaken. The last 4x 2.2L units I bought will be my last Sistema purchases. There goes another Kiwi business down the commode. Cheap Chinese crap here I come, yes I will have to flush that away too, but at least it won't cost that much.

I live in NZ but feel so aggrieved by the new Sistema design that I've found this forum to review. Why did they change the design? So we all have to buy new sets of containers? Well not me... they don't stack, virtually impossible to close and stain. So that's me. Bye bye Sistema. (From an OCD neat freak who has a coordinated pantry which is about to get a make over!)

Boxes are so hard to open. The 'square' box isn't quite square, never get the lid on the right way first time. Especially the smaller sizes take up so much room because of the flange around the top. And lastly, why oh why was the new design made so that it simply won't stack with the old ones.

This new design of systema is almost impossible to open. Why would you change something that didn’t need changing. I am very disappointed and will definitely be going back to decor.

The vacuum that is made makes it impossible to easily reopen the lids. So disappointed. I was looking forward to having an organised fridge with leftovers that I could see easily.

Sistema’s new design with closing clips on lid is difficult to close, awkward to open. This new design should have been marked on the product. Total waste of money. Please change it back to old design.

I agree that the new style of sistema klipits with rounded edges are almost I possible to open..Ive got a huge collection of the old ones but will give away new ones.

I've packed my lunch to work. Only to waste half of my break struggling to open my lunch box. Vacuum created witj in container makes it impossible to open the lid.

The new Sistema range is so impractical to use. Great if you want to put something in there and never be able to get it out again. Not sure why they changed from the old design which were really good. Won't be purchasing again.

What the heck?! My kids can't open the new design, my husband can, but wears the ingredients when he gets the lid off, & takes the blue clips off with trying

Recently purchased new sistema containers, I did not notice they had changed the style - the new version have poorly fitting lids that can come unstuck at the most in opportune of times. Hopefully common sense will prevail and they will return to the older model. The main benefits,as I see it, of the old style is that young children could operate them and they were secure.

I like to think of myself as a practical hands on function over form kind of guy.
Now I’m no big player in theTapaware sector but have always appreciated the old style -clip from the bottom-Sistema containers. I Have recently purchased a new “klip it” 10L (the one with the rock melon picture) and it does my FN head in. I strongly urge the powers that be to revert back to the original design so the sistema company is not liquidated and the good people can carry on with functioning storage solutions lives.

The old Klip It was brilliant. Easy to open and close. The new style with the clips on the lid is horrible. So hard to close and open. I’m looking for old stock for my sandwich boxes now!
