Great Motorhome, terrible quality control.
We are very happy with our new Motorhome now, thanks to the boys at sunshine RV,only for them this would of had a different ending .we have had just about everything electronic go wrong with our montecarlo, and yes we are seasoned travelers for the last ten years, when you pay for the best you expect the best, you have fantastic dealers Sunliner, though you need to pick your game up and make sure things work properly as they should, and do some product testing,we have had all the things fixed now and really love the monte, and a really big thank you to the boys at sunshine RV.cheers.
Purchased in May 2021 at Sunsinestate rv Qld for A$290,000.00.

Sunliner and a flat tow system
I purchased the flat tow system from Jason in loganholme for $5,600 fitted Penrith RV wanted $9,800 for exactly the same system how is reasonable. Also Penrith RV couldn't care less about you with No customer support or follow up. My recommendation is don't use them for anything for repairs try RVGO in Sydney or Sunshine State in Brisbane.

Has all the comforts of home whilst on a reliable chassis that has never let me down.
Had a few electrical teething issues, but Melb RV sort it all out.
As a long term traveler, the monte suits me well.

Incredible Vehicle - we are living the dream
We purchased a Monte Carlo late last year. After three months of preparations and 6 months on the road (so far) I can honestly say that our Sunliner Monte Carlo is an incredibly well built motorhome. The team at Melbourne RV have been helpful and approachable. We wouldn't hestitate in recommending both Sunliner and Melbourne RV to anyone wanting to buy a top quality Motorhome.
Reading other reviews and meeting a few "newbies" out on the road I would only add that common sense and patience are in short supply for some folks! We understoo...Read more
d that our Motorhome is a handmade product that has been designed to travel on the less than ideal roads of Australia. Our Motorhome, even though we paid top dollar, was not perfect - we didn't expect it to be. We spent three months taking short trips, sorting out kinks, adding the extras we wanted and getting everything set up just the way we liked it. The team at Melbourne RV were great to work with. We now have the motorhome of our dreams. Six months into our "Lap of the Map" our Monte Carlo has not missed a beat.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Dangerous mounting of fire Bottle
I accidentally bumped the fire bottle mounted near the door and the bottle fell off the wall, on examination I found the fire bottle was only mounted using small PK screws onto the 10mm backing, this is extremely dangerous as the bottle is heavy and in an accident could cause serious injuries, I am re mounting the bottle using 6mm by 25 mm screws/washers (large) and dome nuts, Sunliner Motor homes is guilty of very shoddy workmanship and I am now very concerned about other items that are mounted in the unit.

promise the world and give nothing
In May 2014 we purchased a new Sunliner Monte Carlo custom build .Since purchase we have had numerous problems and could not recommend this unit or this company to anyone. Dealings with Sunliner direct have been frustrating and absolutely pointless, their customer relations are non existent, it appears as the consumer we are left hi and dry while they send you around the country side in a pointless venture. When you try and complain more than once they cut you off at the reception and say they have orders not to put you through to management...Read more
. our latest complaint is the foam in our seating has collapsed and it feels like you are sitting directly on the timber underneath. They stated that it is not covered by warranty it is fair wear and tear in 12 months. They wanted us to send it back to them for repair they don't want to know what you are going to sit on and cannot give a time frame to fix it. After many calls I told them this was not good enough so they now refuse to speak to me. I will go to an approved upholsterer and have the proper foam installed and have the seating done professionally for $1000.00 at least I know it will be done right. Never again Sunliner!! but I will be happy to pass on your comments to all I see as I travel around Australia .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So many problems!!!
In March 2014 we purchased a new Sunliner Monte Carlo 72 from a major NSW dealer .Since purchase we have had numerous problems and could not recommend this unit or these companies to anyone. Dealings with Sunliner direct have been horrific and fruitless, their customer relations leave a lot to be desired, it appears as the consumer we are left hi and dry.We are keen to hear from like owners whom have purchased new Monte Carlo units in the last 4 years to hear your stories, especially relating to electrical problems and the size of the generator supplied with the unit.

Monte Carlo
We have a Monte Carlo love the vehicle but can't deal with Sunliner the comments i read about the management are all true. They are arrogant at the best.We have had 5 years of trying to get problems fixed by them and AMH,.In exasperation was going to trade in.Then we went to RVGO and he solved all the problems that Sunliner and AMH couldn't or wouldn't fix. RVGO found the problems and fixed in two days.We are now off again so relieved that we now have found somebody who it honest and genuine just the complete opposite of those other (can't say here)

Fabulous bathroom!
If you want design that is outside of the usual motorhome thinking then the MOnte Carlo is for you. It has a bathroom that you can actually stand in to dry yourself outside of the shower but still inside the closed door of the bathroom, also loads of room for the toilet and basin, quite different from ANY other motorhome we have seen in the past 8 years. The leather upholstery is beautiful, soft and hard wearing and the pantry is a 2 door floor to ceiling unit with the depth of a big can of veggies so there is no searching for bottles or tin ca...Read more
ns. The timberwork of our Monte Carlo is a rich mahogany colour and looks gorgeous as does the kitchen. The bed is very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. We also love the dishwasher and the washing machine..... On the downside we miss the walk thru cabin and as we are older we find it difficult to get in and out through the middle of the motorhome. Also the step into the cabin from the outside is very high, also not designed for arthritic oldies!! The control panels for the motorhome took a long time to learn how to use. They are very complicated but may be easier on a later model. (Ours is a 2005) Many more pros than cons though ! LARGE bathroom, kitchen including dishwasher, big easy to access bed, leather upholstery Complicated control panels. No walk thru access.1 comment

both units fell apart within 3 years (both made for American conditions and not Australian). The Monte Carlo is by far the best unit, I know it is not perfect but it is closer than any other unit I have seen.in both quality of build and practicality. The Isuzu NPR400 is a truck and gives a trucks performance. The torque is amazing. We tow a 2500kg car trailer with a car, boat, outboard, assorted fuel tanks etc and still average between 4km and 5.5km per litre cruising at around 95/105kph. I admit it does not like hills but is yet to be defeated.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hi does anyone know where or if the step on the Monte Carlo has a fuse, and if so where is it? 2006 model please help

Gidday Tracey, I do not have a Monte Carlo, I have a Pinto, I doubt there would be much difference in the system's or layout of the electrical fuses and House Battery, my van has the fuse box behind the battery which is located in the exterior storage bin, you have to put your head and torso in and look towards the front and it is in a black box with a clear Perspex cover, each fuse has a number which tallies to the van layout circuit, they are car fuse type which just push in and it is clearly visible if one is blown, hope this helps
