Great bike for a lot less than the orange competition
A great handling bike and with the Yoshimura exhaust that sheds a great deal of weight (approx 3kg), Yoshimura cherry bomb plug in EFI remap device and De-restrict, it makes awesome dial on power that is super crisp and suits off road really well. Mine also has the suspension firmed up by All Pro Racing/RG3 Australia that allows me to attack the trails a lot more being an ex MX racer. I've also put in a LiPo battery to shed another 1.5kg. 1kg up high. Fuel tank is a bit small though (70-90km) so also needs a Clarke or IMS oversize clear tank to get some long mileage. That may seem a lot but I never ride stock bikes and being an ex KTM mechanic, I can tell you they are right there with the 2015-16 KTM 450 EXC's in this state of tune for a lot less. I'm a big fan of the KTM 300 2 stroke or 350 4 stroke EXC's but feel this is on par with better suspension components to boot. The low price I paid for this with the suspension and exhaust already done, was the main reason I gave it a try and after the test ride I was sold. Well worth a serious look.Similar opinion? Dan Crockett with a new Suzuki RMX450Z for 2017
First Impressions: I love the look of high quality. I was an aerospace technician at a production facility making and inspecting parts. I see quality castings and beautiful mill-work. The tig welds are flawless and really wide. The bike also has really nice cable and wire routers too. Standard features include an enduro computer/speedo. It has the new spring model showa forks. great handling and torque. Each brand has its particular handling traits. The Yamaha has allways been know to be great at high speed turns. The Kawasaki is very stable, confidence inspiring-like a green tank. The KTM is neutral with balanced handling. The Honda can stop and turn on a dime. Then Suzuki, the closest to Honda for turning, but without the headshake under hard braking. Closest to Yamaha, but still turns tight. Similar to KTM with very balanced handling. It has a super light feel off-road. At 272 lbs. its on par with the others. I always said that if I stopped riding Hondas, then Id get a Suzuki. More later...after break-in period. cheers! May 1st 2018 Update: The enduro wonderbike I have good news, 3 oil changes and you're ready to use the hi rpm. If you test and keep at it until your hi speed dampening takes out all of the jarring and bumps cant be felt. I got up to 91mph and it wanted to go faster.The long wheelbase and weight make stability. Dropping the bike takes some effort to pick back up but I love this bike. It loves to do hilly and curvy dirt roads and slides beautifully. The power gets to the ground quite well.Mine was street legal-put the brake light pressure fitting at the rear caliper. There is no clearance to mount the switch at the resevor. Its an awesome bike for taller riders. I put a lowering link on and it worked great. (got from Au. Really strong.) Perfect straight out the box
Brouhgt this bike New in 2010 after alot of digging for mates and found it to be the best bike I have owned. Power is aggressive and with the EFI instant with no lag as you would expect from a cabie bike. Lightweight and nimble to take on any enduro or trail ride. Just a pirty you cant get full ADR
