Love these products!
The store in Stocklands in Townsville, is conveniently situated right next to where I work, the ladies there are absolutely amazing, SO nice and ALWAYS so helpful. The products I bought were the tea tree anti imperfection night mask, I love that I can apply it at night before I go to sleep and not have to worry about taking it off, added bonus that it does my skin wonders! I also bought the Himalayan charcoal mud mask, i love that I can actually feel lit working on my skin. And my skin always feels amazing after scrubbing it off. I would highly recommend these two products, and the ladies at the Townsville shop in stocklands will go the extra mile to help you find the right product for you.

Not so natural afterall
After many, many years of always associating the Body Shop with cruelty free & community traded product ingredients, it occurred to me to read the ingredient list on the products I currently own. I am disappointed to find that they are NOT natural, as we are all lead to believe (congratulations marketing company, job well done). I can't complain about specific products but I just feel duped. If you are at all concerned about using natural products, then these guys are not for you.

Expensive skincare products
Having not been in these stores for years, I decided to browse through the store during their recent Christmas sales. As part of their Christmas promo, they had a "wheel" of chance that gave customers the chance to win a discount, free product or "grand prize". With the encouragement of one of the staff, I spun the arrow on the wheel, which landed on the "free shower gel" section, stopped and then then spun backwards (~90°) to "15% off". Both the salesperson and I were staring at the wheel - I commented about how it went backwards whilst the sa...Read more
lesperson just laughed.. Talk about rigged. I did try on some samples in store from their new ranges but considering how inflated prices are in Australia (compared to their Asian branch counterparts), I didn't feel the products are worth the price tag. The creams I tried had a greasy feel and took some time to absorb on my hand.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

horrible & no cortesy to customers
Don't go there! Cannot response on time and no courtesy to customers. I loved the Body Shop before and spend lots of money, but not anymore!
There are other organic / ethical business selling beauty products. You will be better off going those place!

Online orders are charged twice
I ordered online and paid with PayPal, I was charged twice for the order and contacted the company.
They "happily" advised that when you place an order they reserve the funds and then charge again when the order is shipped. You then need to wait 2-5 days for your initial funds to be released. If the funds aren't released I would then need to contact PayPal myself.
I shop online all of the time and have never experienced this before, I don't know how they are allowed to charge twice for an order or to expect customers to have twice the amount available in their account and wait 2-5 days to get it back.
Just a warning for anyone ordering from them online!

Terrible customer service
Have shopped at Body Shop for many years however on my last 2 visits have encountered rude sales assistants. Products aren't that good that I will put up with that - lost me as a customer forever.
November 22nd 2018 Update: Still terrible customer service
After writing a review and contacting the Body Shop in October I received an email saying how sorry they were and that they had forwarded my complaint to the retail field team and would let me know when they received a reply. Over a month later and no further communication - big fail Body Shop. Shows they have no care or concern.

Adore this store
Exceptional service, and great quality product. The body shop offers quality product and has a good ethos. I haven't yet come across a product I didnt like and i've been shopping there for years . I recommend the moringa products (hand cream especially) and the white musk perfume oil. So devine

Be careful with returns policy
Careful with returns and the variance between stores. Their returns policy says that if you’re not happy with the product that you can return it within 30 days... but I had a store manager who wouldn’t let me do this.
I bought a foundation, wasn’t happy with it so I took it back the next day with the receipt, asked to swap it for a different one and the store manager refused. I showed her the returns policy on their website and she said she wasn’t going to argue with me and asked me to leave. I was gobsmacked. Absolutely shocked that their ...Read more
website says one thing but an individual staff member won’t honour it. I contacted Head Office, let them know what happened and asked for clarification about the returns policy. They apologised that I had been given the wrong refund information by the manager and organised for a consultant to help me get the right foundation. They were really good about it. As for the actual products, the face moisturiser is really good, the powder foundation is good, the liquid foundation is average, concealer is terrible. I’ll write separate reviews about them though.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hemp hand cream
Really recommend Hemp hand cream for those who have dry hands! I come back to the shop just for this. Other products I tried were alright but they are more about fragrance.

Terrible advice
The lady working at the store really tried to talk me into buying a lotion, even though I went in there for something specific. I told her I have detmatogical problems and she insisted that the hemp cream she will give me any side effects. This cream costs $40 and I used it once and was swollen for days plus I has blistering.
I told the company and they said they’ll look into it and never got back to me. Instead sends me the body shop spam. And also never heard back from them. I want the company to make sure that they get their staff to know they’re not doctors and they should not insist to people it would work, especially those with skin conditions

Mediterranean Sea Salt Body Scrub
This product is the worst product I have ever tried
In my body. It is ridiculously greasy, very
Little exfoliating
Particles, so much so so you have to scrape it off or scrub with loofah several times with strong soap to remove greasy layer. It also leaves towels greasy and the shower is extremely difficult to clean afterwards.
I went into Body Shop to complain after reading several other reviews also expressing similar experiences, I asked return it and swap for one of their other products which I have used before. They said not possible as was opened and they
Could not re sell it. Very poor customer service and very disappointing product.

Can’t live without it!
I work in a Hotel and I’m constantly on my feet and stand in one position all day long... foot massages are my go-to once a week, but I wanted to find something to help in between massage visits
I bought the cooling foot spray, scrub and smoother and I can’t live without these products now... I’ve recommend them to my colleagues and have made this my nightly ritual every night.
Absolutely amazing!

She'll probably never read this, but quite a while ago I went into the store in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney to get some make-up to hide my self-harm scars. I don't know much about make-up and had been looking for something for a long time with no success as my skin is very light. I was served by a south-asian looking woman who was so kind to me, trying out many different colours and being very gentle with my skin. I don't like people touching my scars or asking about them, and she did neither. This was about 6mnths ago, but I still think of this woman and her kindness when I apply the foundation. If anyone knows her, please thank her for me, I didn't have the courage to do it when I was there.

Give negative number if there was
Stingy and annoying sale assistants that lied to my face about not having a bigger bag to store my purchased items. Rude and laughed at me for asking that question as if asking for a bag to put my purchased items was a silly question. Disappointed. Will never purchase anything. All of the makeup item are crap. Don't even know why they are still here and not bankrupt by now... I think it is from the savings of bags that they do have but they won't give.

Fabulous on my skin
Having very sensitive skin, have found many toners are too harsh. The British Rose toner from the Body Shop not only smells divine, it also leaves your skin feeling soft and cool. It is lovely going on and doesn't dry the skin out., instead it felt fresh and nice.

I recently purchased some exfoliating gloves and was disappointed to find that they no longer have a loop for hanging. Will these be replaced? I always hang mine on a hook in the shower and found this very convenient. Normally would buy several pairs at a time but resisted due to the change in the hope that the loops will return.

I bought the body shop's Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet a week ago. It's making my already dry skin more dry and flaky. You can literally see the skin peeling off. Will it get better or should I stop using the product?

I am no expert but absolutely stop using the product and go straight back to the store.
I am also using vitamin E cleanser with day and night cream. I wanted to fix my dry skin. Went in for the skin test today after using the cream for past few months. Hydration % dropped form 35 to 20 and skin went even more dry. Not worth paying that much for no progress instead making skin worser
