Can't use gift cards, and can't use the promo codes they offer in lieu of gift cards
Received a gift card - couldn't find what I wanted in my local store. I only like two products of theirs - which are quite nice products, but I really only want those.
Went online - they can't even get their website to work properly, and gift cards can not be used online. Contacted customer service, 48 hours later I receive a promo code... which comes up invalid...
They really need to work on their ease of transaction.

Went in store on Boxing Day and picked up 2 sale items totalling $28. When trying to redeem my $5 Love Your Body Club voucher, was informed that I could only use the voucher on full priced items, which is not true as other sales assistants have happily processed my previous vouchers on sale items. Clearly the assistants in this instance were not aware of the terms and conditions.

Ordered online 7 December 2020, still no order and has not been dispatched. Was told it will be express posted and take 5 to 7 business days (express my ***). Online chat is hopeless as they have mentioned 3 different dates to be dispatched and same generic response about delays.
I asked for a cancellation last week to reduce the backlog but the system they use does not allow a cancellation of an order, you are stuck with your money in their system without any product.
They also said that i can only cancel an order once it arrives to me and i send it back, mmmmm!!!!! that is the stupidest thing i have heard. Unless you have bricks in your head to pay for return shipping then it seems this company are nailing you to the pole (like jesus).

Purchased a Christmas gift set on 3rd Dec. Waited 11days, contacted customer service twice, and still got told it's waiting for dispatch. No cancellation allowed and I won't be received it for Xmas. If you can deliver the service you state on the website. I believe you should notify the customers and give us the options. Took the money then tell us, too late. You just have to wait. Not good at all. Will never purchase again from body shop.

Placed my order 10 days ago and my order still hasn't been dispatched. At this rate I'll be lucky to see if for Christmas (and its a Christmas gift). This is one store never to order online from if you are able to go instore.

I have placed order on the 28 Mayember and finally received weeks after I ordered. I understand due to the virus and heaps of delivery orders, takes time to receive my order. HOWEVER, when I opened up the box, there were only 4 even I ordered 5. Did live chat on following day, ask them if it's possible to pick up at nearest shop or express delivery. Answer was 'NO' no any other explanation at all, just NO. said they can refund me then I can go to the shop and buy but not in sale price. how bad customer service is.

Warning - Online Store is taking too long to dispatch - you may not received your order for Xmas
I like The Body Shop products but I am thoroughly disappointed with Online Shop, which is separated from the physical stores. Try to buy from the physical stores if you can. Unfortunately I cannot go to a store as there isn't one where I live. I placed my order on 1st December. I phoned them to today to find out why it hasn't been dispatched yet. I was told it won't be dispatched until next Monday 14th December - almost 2 weeks after I placed the order! I will not have these in time to post to family as Xmas gifts and I may not even recei...

I placed my order on 27 Mayember which is exactly a week ago. The website says it is in 'placed' mode that it still hasn't been dispatched yet - which is ridiculous.
I contacted the customer service, Mark, he said due to covid19, it takes longer than the usual. I told him that so as other retailers/manufactures but none of them takes 7 days to place an order. (it's not even packed yet).
So I've requested to cancel the order but he said that is not possible. If it hasn't been dispatched or packed for shipping, I can't see how it can't be can...

I absolutely love this store! The staff are sooooooo friendly and VERY helpful!! Their products are all beautiful and their is a wonderful range to browse of natural amazing product that I absolutely love. This store is very easy to navigate and if you need help finding anything their is a wonderful staff their to help and they are just so lovely!!! I love this store and all of the products I have bought have been amazing and I can’t stop loving them. This store is an amazing store that I love. ☺️

The website crashed when I made my first order, O came back the second day and got it through. The products arrived damaged. It was $8.95 postage and one of the bottles was actually open despite the wadding which suggests it left the warehouse that way and spilled throughout the box, saturating the one that was ok and draining about 1/4 of the bottle. I immediately contacted them through their contact us. Got an automated reply to say they had my enquiry and someone would be in touch. That was 5 days ago.!! They are open the same hours I work which makes it impossible to call them. Very unsatisfactory. Never again.

This is the worst online shopping experience. The information on the website is misleading. They don't keep you updated. You have to follow up. The Chat function is worse than chatting with an AI. Provided no service, no solution. Called the service line, and waited over one hour to get through. He told me the information the Chat service provided was incorrect. But he didn't provide much better service either.

Ugh! This is the absolute worst online store I have tried to order from. If I can actually open the page, I can’t even then add items to my cart! I have tried on phone, iPad and desktop, and still the same problem. I messaged via their Facebook page and got a reply a week later saying they thought this was strange. From the other reviews, it seems quite common.
Obviously you need to go into their store to purchase, but during Covid times, I would expect a company to make online shopping simple and enticing, not a pain.

Took numerous goes over 2 days to place my order as the website continually crashes. It has now been 5 days since I placed my order and they still have not shipped it. When I asked to cancel the order due to the delay as per the information contained on the order page "Please note that orders can only be cancelled before they have dispatched for delivery" they refused. DO NOT USE THEIR WEBSITE!!!

I am a big purchaser of the body shop shower gels. I have always loved their products but recently tried the cool cucumber shower gel – & after being asked to write a review by the company, my review was banned because I wrote that the product burned sensitive areas. This was an objective reflection and don’t feel they have the right to ban reviews that aren’t always positive. This was the first negative review I have ever written, But they wouldn’t publish it. That’s not great publicity.

I used this Shea body butter on my dog’s dry and crusty nose for 3-4 days, once per day and it made a huge difference. So good!!

I have been using the sensitive scrub and cream for around a year now. It is very refreshing and does not react with my skin, I prefer the body shop to lush products.

i could not get in to to the store because they have a chair in the doorway - apparently to monitor numbers in store. i have never seen more than 3 people in this store ever. but to make people call out and then to tell them not to touch anything loudly and to make a customer ask you before they touch anything is just ridiculous. i left and went to Lush to buy product instead where they welcomed me instore. i understand there are COVID restrictions but you have done a fine job of killing the customer experience. i wont be back again!

Pretty disappointed in customer service re Gift Cards. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I was given a The body shop gift card as a gift and unfortunately have misplaced it. The Body Shop under no circumstances will reimburse or reinstate the gift card (even partially) despite proof of purchase ! very sad that me and the purchaser have no option now but to lose money. wont be coming back unfortunately ☹
My 13 yr old daughter gets pocket money for doing jobs and went to purchase products from The Body Shop to be told they aren’t accepting cash. This is illegal.

Just re purchased a face toner that I have run out of, the customer service at Helensvale Westfield was amazing ( loved her up-selling me the most expensive toner, very impressive sales) but she was right, the toner I got is very good and I am very happy with my purchase. A few more sales and special would be good, but if you ask for some free samples in store they're happy to provide.
