The Natural Confectionery Co. Snakes (page 4 of 4)
What has changed ?????
The last two packets of snakes I have bought have been bloody awful. I was a snake fanatic. Quite obviously the recipe has changed and not for the better.
Both packets will wind up in the bin. You've lost me TNCC.
Please advise what has changed.
I am 57 years old and absolutely ADDICTED to snakes.
Sadly this is the fourth time I have mentioned this. other times I sent a letter .... no reply
my question is ' where are the green snakes?" boo hoo.
please explain.... thank you.

Bloody Terrible!
I bought a large pack of these as I thought they would at least be edible but sadly they are bloody terrible! Stick with starburst snakes as they are far more juicier and tastier than these abominations against man!

We have always purchased this brand of lollies for parties and lolly bags. I've noticed that they have been on sale so much lately ... to read the small print and see that they are now made in Thailand. We won' be buying them anymore.

"The nightmare that is Green Apple flavoured Snakes"
The revolting green apple flavour has broken my trust in natural confectionary co. snakes. I was once a joyful and loyal NCC snake consumer until one day my taste buds were betrayed by a force unrecognised and unwelcomed. The nightmare that is Green Apple flavoured snakes has violated my trust, my taste buds and my will to consume NCC snakes on a regular basis. I have often been left in tears at the mere thought of green apple flavoured snakes. My experience with this bag of lollies can only be described as a horrific tale of NCC snakes' fall from grace at the hands of the capitalist tyrant that is green apple snakes.
Awful Apple Snakes
I have been consuming jelly snakes for years and I particularly like the yellow ones and now I find they have almost disappeared to make way for the new and nasty apple ones.
Hope you can modify your allocations and include a more equitable mix of all the flavours before I have to try something else for my sugar fix in the afternoons.
Too many apple flavored snakes to promote new product line
Green apple flavour snakes
Please get rid of the green apple snakes, no one in our household of 5 can bear them. It is a really awful flavour. Maybe retain the original flavours in a packet and new flavours in another. It may be useful to do a survey of flavours at popular shopping centres.
I love the banana flavour in particular

It's all gone wrong
I used to buy these for myself as a treat...and especially liked having them during Halloween horror movie fests. I bought a bag the other day (first time since last October) and I was sorely disappointed. They just don't taste the same...and all colours of snakes taste very similar. Worried I may just have happened upon a bad batch - how this could have happened in Waitrose, I don't know - I bought another bag in WHSmiths in London Victoria. I then wondered if it might be to do with the Cadbury collaboration..[whilst Cadbury are/were awesome, ...
Read morewhen they were purchased by Kraft I did fear. But thus far not much has changed except the shape of most of their chocolate bars.] I am getting to my point. I am. Essentially, I don't know what's been the cause of the change in the recipe but I do know that I won't be buying these again. Which is a real shame :-( :-( :-( Please change them back. Please! Not very nice taste any more. Too expensive given lack of nice flavour.Snakes are Great
Had a friend from Australia send me a package of Snakes in a goodie box. While the other items in the box were yummy, I am addicted to the Snakes! Love them, haven't found them in the US yet, hoping the International Market may have them, if not guess I'll see what shipping is going to be.
Flavors, enjoy them all, with the banana being the least favorite. Love the texture.
Don't buy
If you live in the UK- don't buy them. The recipe has changed and they are now rancid, dreadful things. I used to eat a bag a week, and tried to buy them 3 times since I noticed the change, just in case i bought a bad batch. They were all horrid. Very dissappointed.
Taste, smell, texture.. and price. it was OK to spend £1.50 when they were good. now...

My favourite jelly snakes
These are soft but sturdy snakes (stretch them!) and so yummy. The colours are derived for capsicum skins, grapeskins, curcumin etc. Very more-ish and I am addicted to the yellow-coloured banana flavoured snakes. The raspberry and grape flavours are popular with my family but of course that leaves the orange (coloured and natural orange taste) snakes left forlornly alone - absolutely no takers.
I know some people will want to cling to their old-school killer pythons or allen's snakes but after you try these, other brands simply have an artificial bubblegum taste and are sometimes just as rubbery too.
Often on special discount at the 2 big stores, but even more often at the IGA's.
Delicious but not bubblegummy

Good
This is a good product for all ages. They are so lovely and soft to eat and they taste great as well. A regular purchase at our house!
I really like this product, my husband always keeps a few packets of these in his desk to snack on. These snakes are lovely and soft to bite into and they have a much nicer flavour than other brands.
They do still contain sugar even. They only can be purchased in the one size packet. It would be more economical if they could be bought in a bulk size for parties or for people who eat a lot of them!

OK
These sweets are soft and jellies shaped like snakes and are in different natural flavours. I have eaten them all, and depending on my mood, I like certain flavours at certain times. These are great to have at the movies or when you want a sweet snack at home. And they are pretty low in price and are easily found in all the supermarkets and in the department stores like Kmart and BigW too.
Who ever imagined that eating snakes could be so sweet and yummy? These are great to just have in your desk at work and to eat when you want something sugary and sweet to eat. They are also perfect to share with work mates too.
They are full of sugar, natural, but still sugar. So, they are a rare treat for me.
