Not impressed
Two blown front tires on Nissan Patrol in the last month, highway running in hot weather, plenty of tread, correct pressure, appears like tread separating from case in hot ambient temperatures.
50/50 highway running and rough gravel road running

Tough tough tough
Brilliant tyre off-road,hang together when getting punished .I will, live with the noise and the loose traction in the wet, but I get to where I'm going off-road with confidence of not shredding a tyre. I'M on my third set of tyres now and will continue to use them in the future !

Poor traction on wet bitumen roads
The Toyo m55 are fantastic strong reliable tyres on rough dirt/rocky roads and I have done thousands of kms on rough roads. But be warned, the traction on wet bitumen roads for the Triton running m55 is not the greatest. Even at low speeds on roundabouts will get the back end out and set of the traction control, even with loads in the back. Caution also is also needed on accelerating to ensure there is no lose of traction. This is something I have not experienced with the Bridgestone H/T or BFs on this vehicle.

and vehicle types running m55 I get similar stories of poor traction on wet roads. Problem is the tyres are so tough the haven't worn much after 30k which seems a waste to replace them. But safety comes first so I will bite the bullet and replace them, but with what I don't know.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good and reliable tyre just loud
This tyre is incredible. I have travelled all over Australia through harsh environments and have had them for a year now and done over 60,000kms. They are absolutely a strong and reliable tyre. Only negative, is they are extremely loud >60km/h. Thank goodness for stereos!

You can't beat them.
Had a set on Turbo 6 Cruiser Ute,using it in around the Cooper Basin/Innamincka area and up and down the Tibooburra road. Did 98000 kms,had 1 flat from a Tec screw. Bit noisy on the bitumen, but you can put up with that.

Best tyre for the price
We use F 250s to tow 3.5 tonne Exploration hire caravans to any where, from a track pushed through the scrub by a loader, to high speed gravel highways, I am about to fit my fourth set, wore three out and staked one this time around, I have experimented with a number of brands, and this one is a winner.
Price and lack of side wall punctures

Too Noisy
Have used M55s for about 17 years and would have nothing else on Landcruiser traytops for both on and off road. Bought 200 series Landcruiser and couldnt wait to get it onto M55s but was most disappointed at road noise and after 5000 kms they had to come off as the noise driving me mad.Impressed at Toyos deal to swap to Open Country tyres as should be a lot quieter. Strange that same tyre on traytops gave no noise but on wagon howled like mad
Proved extremely reliable over the years on Traytop l/cruisers
Totally unacceptable road noise on 200 series L/cruiser

Excellent Tyres
These are the best tyres I have ever used for general touring. Did Cape York, two return trips from Cairns to Perth (via the Plenty highway and the Great Central road)and another couple of return trips from Perth to Cairns across the Top End (Gibb River Road etc.) without one single punture. We used them extensively in the Pilbara for Field Service in the mining industry when no other tyres would last. Recently tried a set of BF Goodrich All Terains on my Landcruiser Troop Carrier, have been regretting the decision from the very first week. The Toyo M55 is not a cheap tyre, but what you are paying for is reliability.
Reliability and handling both on and off road
