Indestructible
Our '95 Hilux is without a doubt the greatest workhorse we have. 360,000km and showing no signs of slowing down whatsoever. 2.4l petrol engine, this thing is absolutely unreal. Once she inevitably does go, will be investing in a newer model Hilux because I've had nothing but joy with this one!

Hilux
Driving experience are the best. Comfort of travellling are good. They are the best cars. U can do a lot of km and never nothing happens. It's not taking a lot of petrol. All my mates got this car even older. Recommend for everyone. Very strong cars. Yes yes and yes

Amazing vehicle for age
Performs well off and on road minimal interior comfort but tough reliable vehicle good on fuel just slower than I would like good for towing if you don't need to get where you're going in a hurry could do with more leg room for the rear seats overal good car

In 2007 I replaced the glow-plugs and have done the brakes a couple of times, clutch once, but have not experienced any dramas since owning it. I currently own four vehicles and, although I have had problems with them, I can always hop in the Hilux and turn the key, and wham, it starts first time every time. Suzuki V6 oil pump problems, Jeep problems in general, but the Hilux keeps on keeping on. Before rushing out ...Read more
to buy the latest bit of electronic misery think about the long term viability of your transport. My old beast is flat out at 100km/hr and doesn't have computer control or airbags but it is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned (and I have had over 60 since the 1960's).Similar opinion? Hi there, i was wondering if anyone has fitted a later model alloy tray to an older dual cab hilux. My lux is a 97 dual cab 4x4 diesel. Has anyone fitted a tray from a 98 to 04 or a 05 to 08 to their 88 to 97 hilux? Cheers.
