Cheap and reliable
Toyotas are always a good car to buy for their reliability however there are some things to note with the Yaris.
Very light car so it will tend to over accelerate at the start
Seats are very average - no support, just one large piece of foam
Low maintenance costs for sure

Toyota is known to be reliable for a reason.
I have been driving a second hand MY2008 Yaris for 5 years and it is a really well build car. I only had to change the car battery once and the tires as it was getting worn out after 6 years since it was manufacture. Being a 7 years old car, the support is still great and there was 2 times when we sent the car for servicing at our local Toyota dealer and their system was able to pick up a recall for the car, nothing too serious, and get the part replace without any hassle. The car is still running smoothly and we will be trading it for a bigger...Read more
Toyota RAV4. At the end of the day, my family have own Toyotas and they have been very reliable. They may not be the nicest car or have the most features compared to their competitors nowadays, but it is a brand that I have come to trust. Therefore they deserve my 5 star for being reliable for the 25 years my other family members have been using Toyota as well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My Wife's YRX 2007 Yaris
As the title suggest, this is a review for my wife's vehicle. I own a performance car BUT I hope this review is factual/helpful for you who are seriously considering this vehicle.
I normally reflect on the reviews of others to add to the discussion. But with the large amount of response I will just post my 5 most noteworthy PROS and CONS.
PROS
Looks - but the catch is you need the YRX model.
Space (leg/head) be that in the front/back seats.
Reasonably priced.
No issues after 110,000km.
Fuel costs and can run on E10, 91 or 95 - each noticeable differences.

Excellent
Highly recommended. We did the Nullarbor and half the East coast with ease. Packed everything in the back and, even though we were pretty stacked up with gear, it cruised along with heaps to spare. Will be changing over next year and still can't see anything that approaches it for value and quality so at this stage will be getting another one. Simply can't understand some of the other reviewers comments about the seat and door fabrics, dark colour dash (which is actually dark grey, not black), demisting issues. None of this is a problem. And as...Read more
for those who complain about the small boot space - did they not realise they were buying a small car? Have a look before you buy. In any case, it is nowhere near as bad as made out and, contrary to some comments, folding the rear seats flat is not difficult at all. Just get one of these. We have one of the first Yaris's - 2005 YRX. Very little not to like about this car. Plenty of power, good leg room (front & rear), oustanding storage throughout the vehicle, rear floor folds conpletely flat, seat fabric is excellent (almost 4 years later and not a mark on them), excellent economy. Thought the centre instrument panel would be a bit weird but it's actually safer than the conventional one - when you're glancing at your speedo etc your peripheral vision is still on the road. Aircon hasn't missed a beat and does an excellent job in Perth's summers. Sound system is excellent Very few things that you would pick on. The accelerator takes a little getting used to but that doesn't take long. Honestly can't think of anything else and we are fussy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
