A great upgrade from my last bike and amazing value for what you get. Well worth the money and you won't be disappointed.
Great value - easy to ride and look after - the Ultegra groupset is stunning and extremely reliable. Strong and easy to handle.. Light up the hill although a little flex when you push it hard... Safe at 50+km per hour
A little rough on the bumps... White handlebars get dirty very fast...

The bike is light and easy to transport and I love the whole appearance of it. It hasn't let me down once and I ride it constantly. The tyres seem to get a bit flat under my weight (60kg) but that's only when I ride uphill. Otherwise a good ride and a great bike.
The Trek 1.9 is truly an awesome bike that I'm always happy to go on a ride with. Riding used to be a once-in-a-blue-moon thing for me but since I've had this new bike you will barely see me off it!
The handle bars get a little bit dirty but that's understandable.

I considered a couple of other road bikes, focus cayo, pinnacle aeos. The pinnacle was no way near as comforatable (bottom up head down position)and the focus is only available online. If we all bought online then the local bike would disapear. I value the expert opinion of somebody who has worked in the business for years and genuinely interested in cycling over a general salesmans voice on the phone or an on screen interactive assistant. I immediately found the bike to be very comfortable and when i compared the weight of it to a mad one 5.2 ...Read more
carbon they felt the same, if there was a pound difference in it then for the sake of another £1000 i'd rather lose that off my stomach. The Tyres and wheels retail at around £200,groupset £380, then there's the very light alpha aluminium 6000 frame. I ilke the bike a lot and the fact that if there's any problem i can call round to my local bike shop for a chat and some expert advice while they sort it out is better than waiting at home for a courier to collect it. Very light, very smooth, £400 ultegra groupset is excellent, brakes are fantastic way better than the tektro's on my raleigh road bike. Most of all supremely comfortable, compact crank 50/34 and 11-25 cassette make hill climbing soooooooo easy. White bar tape dirties easilySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I do agree with most already said.
The bike does seem to need to be picked one size
next to yours measured for Giant TCR, for example,
i.e. if there you're 56, choose Trek 58 cm.
The bike gives amazingly wide range of possible
adjustments where you feel comfortable compared tpo

of time to find proper seatpost/saddle/stem height
positions.

weight distribution on front/rear wheels which gives a great feeling of safety. Riding is as smooth as on my hybrid with CrMo frame/Titanium fork! Acceleration is also remarkable, allowing speeding up to over 50 km/h at distance about 60m on the trek indoors. You've got really impressing average speed - on Record crankset, Cappagnolo Zonda wheels/Hutchinson Fusion race; leisure riding is at about 30-31 km/h. Overall I'm really impressed and recommend it. Very smooth ride, perfect balance, wide range of adjustments, impressive acceleration and average speed. Probably too sensitive at steering for the first time ride.

When compared to some carbon bikes with 105 this is a better package. The weight difference is minimal but the ultegra gives you a precise, smooth ride that is responsive under load. TREK got it right with this bike. Do yourself a favour and get one!
A great value bike that is light with quality components. The ride is very smooth and the package combination of aluminium/carbon and ultegra running gear means you get an excellent quality machine at a sensible price.
