overall, this product can be used on many things and areas. i recommend it to all types of people and it is a good product. if you use it day and night you will end up with nice smooth skin. but as you put it on you have to cover it with something so you don't get anything greasy and yukky.

i always have a jar of this in the cupboard, i even used it on the cat when he had a dry flaky area above the base of his tail - i mixed it with ti tree oil to help with healing and this also stopped him from licking it off

this product has so many uses i cant describe all of them. i use it for lips, for sunburn and to protect exposed skin from dirt and moisture. the best part is it helped relieve my cut and protected it as it was healing. it also helps prevent you from getting further cuts. an awesome product at an awesome price. there are many sizes you can buy and even the small tub can last you for months depending on how much you use. loved it

I use vaseline for everything, especially my chapped lips. It makes a great barrier of protection, that keeps the nasty things out and the good things in. I found that it also works really well on mozzie bites! It doesn't irritate skin anywhere I use it. Such a practical product, Vaseline is so cheap and the tub never seems to run out.
You can use Vaseline for everything! The tub I've used seems to last forever without going off, I've had mine for a few years and it isn't even half used yet.

Vaseline is definately a must in anyone's medicine cabinet. Regardless of whether they have a baby or not. Great for chapped lips (easy to get men to use vaseline on their chapped lips - no chance of getting them to use a chapstick!). Is also good at preventing and soothing chaffing. Great nappy cream - and is 'natural' being made from what was once just plant matter. Good for cradle cap. Soothes over-blown noses. My fav trick with Vaseline is to pop it on the back of new shoes - it helps prevent blisters.

Vaseline is great for baby. It can be used on their bottom but I use it the most on my baby's skin in winter when she gets wind burn on her cheeks. As a Mum who likes to walk everday my bubs skin was getting so red from the wind when I would take her in the pram. I just made sure to use it on her face before and after walks and it helped so much.

I was using this when my lips were chapped and for some dry patches of skin i had. I found it was ok but after a while it did feel a bit greasy. It's very gentle and non irritating, even on my sensitive skin. While this product is not bad i prefer Lucas PaPaw Ointment. I often get blisters on my feet from new shoes so i will try the trick the other reviewer has recommended :)

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly is good for chapped lips, dry skin and even nappy rash. It is one of the best, yet inexpensive, products I have at home. Every household must have a container of this product in their cabinet. One can give up an expensive lip balm for Vaseline Petroleum Jelly and realize that this product is indeed amazingly effective and cheap.

I bought this for my baby as I read it was good for cradle cap and it definately worked a treat when he had this. I nipped it in the bud before it may have gotten out of hand.
I have tried many lip balms as I have really dry lips and I have to say, this is probably one of the best cheapest balms I have used that puts back some moisture.

This is a classic product that i don't think will ever date. You can't beat it, so many uses so little cost.
Everything. As well as being great for dry skin or cracked lips it has many other uses. It is great as a lubricant for stuck draws or squeky hinges plus as a make up. Use it on eyes for shine and to darken lashes or a small amount swept on eyebrows will keep them in place, put on over lipstick as a gloss or rub into nails for shine.
It will melt in hot weather so keep it upright with the lid firmly on or you're in for a bit of a mess.

Vaseline has been around for ages it is a realiable brand. The product is great for just about everything including chapped lips and chaffing. My husband uses it on burns. It really helps to get get those little fingers out of tight spots and tight rings off. We have been using vaseline for generations and will continue to do so. You can buy it at the supermarket really cheap so the product is value for money. Oh and it lasts for a long time.... great product

I mainly use this product to relieve wind burnt lips. It works well to bring them back to a supple state. This product is a little messy though as it requires you to put your fingers in the pot. This means you then need to wash them before touching anything. I think for this reason and the large container size that a chap stick is much beter if just using in to relieve wind burn.

With my oldest child being 24 and my youngest is 2 I can honestly say things have changed alot over the years, and its been for the better.Vaseline was the 'go' when my oldest son was a baby but I wouldnt use it now,Its too heavy and the skin cant breathe, my oldest had quite a bit of trouble with nappy rash,not an issue with my younger ones.It has its place but I dont think the place is a baby, it can be harsh. Save it for your cracked etc and stick with something milder for a baby.

I have been using this since i can remember. Especially useful in winter, vaseline helps to repair cracked or dry lips which come about after exposure to wind and cold weather. My hands also get a bit dry sometimes in winter and after giving this a go, I dont use anything else. Those expensive hand creams do the same thing and this is so much cheaper. You can get it in no frills brands and they work out to be cheaper and do the same thing.

Cheap no frills competitors do the same thing - its just 100 per cent petroleum jelly.
