No Problems
I don't understand all the issues that everyone is having, my vacuum has not missed a beat with fabulous suction every time I use it. It has never clogged up on me. Maybe there are differences in years of production. This is the first Vax machine that I have owned and I would buy another.

Has problems but works well when filters are clean and bypass is taped over.
I bought this to replace our out 1300 watt cheap vacuum. It was the second cheapest vacuum in the Godfrey's store. The salesman threw in a single outlet steam mop which we do use. I noticed from the first use that there was good suction but if anything blocked the inlet a valve would operate inside the top of the machine and it would loose suction until it was turned off and back on. This problem became worse the more I used it. I opened the lid and located the valve in the top cover, it seems to have a weak spring, so I placed some gaffa ...
Read moretape over the valve which fixed that. I also found that the main filter in the dust collection box has to be cleaned after every time I vacuum the house, it has a gauze cover over it and that cover must be removed before tapping the bottom of the filter to remove all the dust from the ridges of the filter. It makes a bit of a mess when doing this so I do it in the bin outside using a plastic brush (from a dust pan and bush set) to tap the bottom of the filter and brush away all the dust from the collection box and filter. I find when doing these things I get a good clean and enough suction to lift the carpet off the ground when vacuuming. I hope this helps anyone that has bought one of these to at least get some use out of it. Powerful when working properly, did not cost alot of money. Having to clean it out after every use is a bit of a problem. Also the bypass valve is a design error. Customer Service were rude and no help at all.
Terrible
This is the most useless and annoying machine i have ever used. Got sucked in to buy this bagless vax as the higher range model was not in stock. nSilly me bought the Ultrixx and it has been so useless. I will be taking it to the tip tomorrow!!!
The filters need to be cleaned endlessly and after a while, filter cleaning still doesnt make the machine suck. Dont even think about cleaning the car interior. Very dissapointing.
