Viccon Deck and Fence Deck Restoration Kit For Film Forming Sealers Coated
Wood Finish Stripper, Wood Rejuvenator (See All)Pros

Our 8 year old tallow old deck needed stripping as the previous decking oils used by the original contractor had reacted badly. The stripper had to be used in some spots 3 times, after application of stripper and keeping it moist water blasting was ineffective and it had to be scraped first, a second application was needed, and a third in some spots. The deck clean was applied and was fine however the deck still needed to be belt sanded and the edges done with an orbital sander. Be prepared to do a lot of work if you want it to look like new.

The product does everything it says it will do. In my case previous owners had slapped so much stain on the wood thst it needed to be stripped twice. I think users should be made aware that once you start pressure washing the removed stains goes everywhere literally which I wasn’t prepared for. You need to cover all surrounding areas with plastic otherwise as in my case I had to repaint house walls, scrub glass windows etc as the stain turns to a sticky sludge.
On my second project using the products I was much better prepared so it wasn’t so ...

The stripper did a very good job generally except where coating was in very good condition and so needed a second application. Restorer again very good and the result was excellent.

It took longer than anticipated to remove the stripper but the results are well worth it.
I Would thoroughly recommend. Happy to provide further photos of the entire deck if required.

Product worked very well. A bit thick for the sprayer I purchased, so will have to work on that, but worked very will. Very happy with product and have purchased more.

I used this product to strip back Intergrain Ultra Deck timber oil from a patchy deck coating (some sections under cover and as good as 3 new coats and some exposed to weather and starting to lose the last coat). Long story short removed almost 95% of the the finish from all parts of the deck. It did struggle with in between deck spacing primarily due to vertical surfaces and required additional coatings (Per advertisement). Overall can't be happier as it was cheaper than other timber finish strippers. Some tips included on their website and pa...
Read moremphlet which are valuable are a must as follows: 1. Turbo Nozzle. A definite must if you are using box store electric pressure washer like Ryobi or lower end karcher/gerni. I used a karcher turbo nozzle and while it says it is for petrol/gas it can be used on lower end electric. You can also use a 15 degree nozzle, just takes longer. 2. 60 grit or 80 grit sanding belts with Belt sander. You can use the manual sanding rolls on sanding floats and they do the job but just takes time. Some things to watch out for: 1. The peeled of finish goes everywhere when you use the pressure washer to remove it. So be prepared to clean after all adjoining surfaces such as walls, downpipes and doorways/French doors etc. Cleans easily with water and a gentle brush from these surfaces. 2. If you have a garden or vegetable patch, make sure you use sufficient water to wash it away from the leaves and roots. 3. If you are time poor and have a medium or large size deck greater than 30 square meters, chemical stripping is ideal and time saving. Note, whichever way, you will have to use the belt sander. So if you have time and you are good at using the belt sander with suction, then use a 32 grit and don't worry about chemical stripping.Originally posted on www.deckandfence.com.au/store using our platform

We had at least six coats to get off our deck and followed the instructions. It barely came off with the pressure washer and we ended up using it and a hard bristled broom to try to scrape it off. It was a nightmare. We had to buy a second lot of the product to do it again. We still had to scrub it while pressure washing. I never want to have to do this job again. Maybe our product (Intergrain) was just hard to remove.

Product worked very well, still lots of work and time but way better than sanding! Had to repeat in a couple of small areas but generally very effective from one treatment.

Great Product Excellent Result!
Was a little sceptical about the claims but it looked legit so I decided to try it. Our deck is a hardwood merbau about 12 years old and hadn't had any treatment (recoating etc) for at least 7 years. The timber was grey and marked and colour varied significantly. One section under cover and the other contatly exposed to weather. After pressure cleaning then applying the stripper as directed the timber then pressure cleaned again quite easily. However it did take a few hours of slow back and forth with small domestic pressure washer to move the ...
Read moreresidue. Next time we will go with hire of larger commercial pressure washer. When dry we applied the rejuvinator. Although the direction said 15-20 mins we left it about 30 mins as there appeared to be more 'lifting' of colour over the longer time. And WOW! We were very pleased with the result...looked like new timber the same as when we first had the deck built. Can highly recommend the VICCON product. Photo 1 shows deck before. Photos 2 difference rejuvinated deck and untreated steps. Photo 3 after final finish coat.Originally posted on www.deckandfence.com.au/store using our platform
