Great mower for the price

published

Cant complain. Cuts just as well as my mates much more expensive honda. Easy to start. Hasnt let me down yet. Feels sturdy and well built. Would definitely purchase again.
Mower is fairly light and easy enough to transport. Motor has enough grunt for damp grass, stuggles with wet grass though.

Reliable, solid

published

Great mower, haven't even serviced it in 3 years and still starts first pull and blades cutting clean. I have always had victa mowers and they've always lasted ages even though I treat them quite bad. I would Recommend getting from Bunnings as they do warranty. I would also recommend getting it serviced to increase life.

Great little lawn-mower - would recommend to others

published

I purchased this Victa lawn mower from Bunnings and have been really happy with it. We don't have a big shed, however the handle folds down and the catcher can be removed to allow it to take up minimal foot print. I wouldn't call it noisey or quite, it's fuel powered so it makes a reasonable amount of noise, however its easy enough to push around, blades remain sharp and the catcher is large enough to cover my whole lawn (~60 sqm). I'd buy this brand again without hesitation.

Great mower

published

Good, easy to manoeuvre lawn mower which leaves a great cut and is easy to start. The catcher is relatively easy to empty and can hold a fair amount of clippings. If the blades need to be changed, it's a simple case of undoing a few bolts and a quick changeover. Overall a very good, reliable mower

Perfect

published

Recently moved out of home with my girlfriend and went to bunnings hoping to find an ideal lawn mower and other gardening tools. Walked out with the victa lawn mower and has genuinely been amazed with it. Cuts grass to a tee and easy to assemble and use. Would highly recommend. The price was expensive but. Definitely worth it

Very sound mower

published

Been a long time Victa user and this one is pretty good, reliable, starts easy, runs best on 95 octane fuel. Catcher is decent too, just a very sound mower, been using Victa's for 37 years and never had an issue, these four strokes are super reliable but best to keep on top of maintenance for longevity.

Quiet and easy to start

published

First impression was it is very quiet. After having a mower for 20 years I was not aware how quiet they were supposed to be. Easy to use, cuts and catches well. Easy to start and fill / check oil. Is very weak in the handles and catcher is very soft plastic compared to the old mower. It will need some TLC!

I'm impressed

published

I did as instructed by the personnel at Bunning's. After putting oil in the sump I pulled the the chord slowly to lubricate the rings and it started on the second pull. The mower is easy to operate and cuts like a gem; I've always had Briggs and Stratton motors and I haven't been disappointed thus so far - fingers crossed.

Good Mower!!!

published

We have been using this mower for a long time and still it will last long for another few years. It has got 5 options on it to figure out the height of the grass you would like to keep which comes in really handy. The catcher and the blades are really strong. To get the maximum life out of it it's advisable to get it serviced on time.

My little BMW for the lawn

published

Bought this item from Bunnings. Was unsure how good it would be. Because I had another brand in mind.
My friend who had the same one convinced me to get this little fellow.

So took it home for a trial. Oh my Gosh. Love how easy it is to pull start!
It was even able to cut through my 30 cm grass without any problems. The ability to adjust cutting height is great and extremely easy to change in comparison with my OLD one.
Love the shinny silver wheel cover hahaha. Makes me felt like I am pushing a little BMW on the lawn.

Cheap but Good

published

I purchased my Victa Classic Cut last christmas 2016 and had the summer growth of the buffalo grass to contend with. The mower has a variation of heights for cutting depth which works well with the blade structure.Being a reasonably light mower, it is easy to maneuver around and lawn and garden area. The starting operation is a breeze and as yet I havn't had to maintain this mower at all. All in all a good buy.

Victa summer classic

published

It cuts ok but it blocks up at the back if the grass is little wet it's only good if it's dry.and it's hard to maneuver its pretty heavy and if you want to change the blades really hard to take off I gave up on it it's a crappy mower broke down first day.

November 12th 2017 Update: This is the worst mower I used doesn't like picking up moist grass

When I bought it the wheels fell off the coil was faulty. After 5 months it stopped completely due to faulty coil.it doesn't like picking up moist grass at all it's rubbish if you ask me and too much maintenance on it spark plug don't last long don't buy sponge filter gets dirty pretty quickly

No evidence of any oil leaking. Just mowed 1 hr ago and there was no motor hunting. Mowed ok even though it doesn't have to power & 4 blades that I am used to.

What petrol do u use

1 answer
Dominic
Dominic

I have a 500m2 grass and that is usually just under one tank full of fuel. I use the cheap stuff from the fuel station. If you only have a small yard and it would be sitting in the mower tank or petrol can. I would suggest going with 95 petrol. It has a much longer shelf life when sitting for long periods of time. For me the cheap stuff works because I use it straight away. I mow my yard one to two times a week. Love the mower and it never fails me.
