Bad product

published

It is my experience that WD drives fail very regularly. I have 3 in a row which fail successively. They seem to last between 2 and 3 years after any warranty has expired. Seagate drives I have also purchased around the same time are still running. I would not buy WD products

Dismal, absolutely dismal.

published

I've purchased so far, 2 3TB Western Digital externals 3.0 USB and 2 2TB WD Externals 3.0 USB.
All four have crashed, all bought at different times.
It's not that I mistreat my externals, because I also own a couple of Seagates and they are the best thing I've ever bought.
As for the WDs I've practically thrown them out after hours upon hours spent trying to recover my info from them.

Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
Nothing.
Too expensive, doesn't work, warranty is useless especially if you want your information, just bad. Highly not recommended.
