Great scooter,covers all bases
I’ve had this scooter for 8 mths now,and couldn’t be happier.
The standard suspension isn’t too bad for average putting around, but as I like to ride it a bit harder I’ve installed YSS rear shocks and YSS springs in the forks.
This has transformed the scooter a lot, it’s now much better and confidence inspiring when riding in the country backroads.
Good for longer weekend rides, storage is great and the fuel economy is great.
I added a comfort seat and an Akro pipe.
This is definitely a keeper.
I can see this staying in my garage a long time.
So yes, I can recommend this scooter without hesitation.
My first service cost me $167.00 at Excite Motorcycles in Penrith, NSW.
Purchased in June 2021.

Nice Traffic buster.
Had this bike a year now and done 2000km. Ordered this maxi scooter new without even having seen one in a shop, or even sat on one, just read the reviews ! $8000 on the road. First thing I noticed coming off a tricity was the hump between your feet can be annoying, This also means you swing a leg over rather than step through it. After getting used to this, the scooter becomes quite nice. It's stable at 100 km and I've had it up to 140 with just wind buffeting stopping going further. I put the screen up to its maximum and also have a clip on s...Read more
ports screen so virtually no wind noise. It does buffet around my shoulders a lot. The engine is awesome, very smooth crawling through traffic, lane splitting, then hit the gas and it gets in front of any cars very swiftly. I average 2.6 litres/100 km which is awesome. The seat is comfortable, two hour rides zero issues. Storage, I arrive at my destination in work clothes, take my laptop bag out, put jacket and helmet in, and arrive at meetings and no one knows I've even scootered there and haven't had to find or pay for a car park. The bad points would be being a large scooter the wind pushes it around more than a bike, it only came with one key fob so I paid $200 for a spare key, and all the electronics worry me, might be a problem when it gets much older. Overall very happy with it, cuts 20 minutes off my commute by car through stationery traffic.
Purchased in April 2021.

Hi Peter, great to see another owner enjoying his XMAX300. Could you please share how much did the suspension upgrade cost and where did you get it done?
Thanks
Gary

I bought it from Suspensions R Us in Melbourne.
They are great to deal with and happy to answer any question after you purchase as well.
My set up cost about $1,100 or so, plus having the front suspension installed as well, about $400.
The front end is a lot better, be careful with the rear spring weight, as it can be a bit hard.
I’d quote your weight as 10kg lighter and use the shock settings for further adjustment .
Good luck.
Hi Peter, thank you so much for replying. Really appreciate your help.

Hi Brian, glad to see your enjoying the scooter. Just wondering what the service costs are?
Thanks Charlie.

Hi Charlie. I’ve only had the first service which was about $200. It’s a simple motor to service and the manual shows you how to change the oil, so I will probably do the next one myself.
