Bogus Business - to be avoided!
This company displays some very suspicious practices . I placed an order a week ago and didn't receive an order confirmation, response or advice of any kind... All I received was additional advertising. I canceled the order 3 days later. Still no confirmation, contact or response, but my status hadn't changed from processing. So I rang and spoke to a young lady who said it was no problem to cancel the order. Still no confirmation, nothing. it was odd, that I was getting advertising material if they couldn't handle what they already had. Meanwhile, the status of my order still showed on the webpage as Processing. I waited a day and still no change: no confirmation of anything, no change on the status in my profile. I rang again, again a young lady said it was no trouble to cancel and she would do it straight away, although it would take 3-4 days to process. Remembering that their website advertises next business day delivery. No confirmation email afterwards, no change to status on the website. I rang again the next day and asked to speak to someone higher up. The young lady, different one each time, said it was no trouble to cancel. I advised I had done that. I had also during these days, lodged service tickets on their feedback line, also asking to cancel the order and for someone to send a confirmation. I checked the service ticket status (you have to register to access that separately from your registration on their website). I found that one of my service tickets had been closed as completed. No contact, no confirmation email, no email advising the ticket was closed. At this stage the company had not contacted me regarding anything. I then contacted Paypal and lodged a ticket with them. Within an hour I got a text message to my phone from Your Home Depot, advising they couldn't process a refund while there was a live dispute lodged with Paypal and to remove it. I went to the Paypal site and nearly cancelled the dispute but their website advises not doing that until the refund is received. So i respond to the text from Your Home Depot and said that the dispute would remain and to process the refund. They rang me! The first contact I'd received directly from them regarding any of this. The lady again told me should couldn't process a refund while there was a dispute with Paypal, and that it would take weeks to process because I would have to wait until Paypal contacted the company. I told her I wasn't cancelling the dispute and to process the refund. The refund appeared in my Paypal account within an hour. I was lied to. I think their attempt to have the Paypal dispute removed was so that Paypal would not gather a list of complaints/disputes against them, which I am sure is on the rise. There was never any discussion about the stock.. Like others who have reviewed I am dubious that they have stock. It is quite plausible they are making money on the over night money market. They had my money for a week. I'm not sure that anything they have done is illegal but I think it's dubious and suspicious at best and would not risk my money again. No service, no care about the customer at all. And lies. There are much more reputable companies around who are interested in making an honest dollar and I will be dealing with them. I am following this up with the Consumer Commission...... oh...and 24 hours after the refund appeared in my paypal account, my order still appears as Processing on the website.1 comment

Reading these reviews, it's like the company says the same thing to all its customers. I ordered a pot and steamer from Your Home Depot and paid extra for express delivery. Following day I received an email asking for my bank details as they didn't have them on the system... Awful service and terrible outcome.
I attempted to purchase a clothes line. 3 weeks after ordering I was told there would be a delay and that I would receive a free gift with my order. 2 weeks after that I had heard nothing further so I sent a query email which received no reply. Another week later I got an email to say that my item had been damaged and I would be refunded. What a waste of time! This makes me think that they may not actually have had this stock in the first place.

I hate being Lied to.
Was shopping for a new spin mop. chose this mob because the advertise the item will be sent next business day. i ordered Monday morning. received an email that the order is in process but nothing further. ck this morning, and asked the question a different way. was told items shipped wednesday. So i said "so i was lied to yesterday?". She just kept on with her speel. did i want tracking info? of course i did! she said she would email me. so the parcels have arrived, and they are well packed, even got a free knife sharpener. such a shame about the service, i got a couple of very cool original pieces im very happy with.

No Delivery, No Contact
Paid through paypal, they accepted the money but wouldn't respond after the $500+ icecream maker wasn't delivered (tracking on their site was set to "processing" 10 days after payment was accepted). Had to use paypal to sort out the issue and get a refund after repeated attempts to contact Yourhomedepot with zero response. Purchase through these guys at your own risk.

dispute, paypal sorted it out and I just had to return the item for the refund (at my own expense). Spend the couple extra dollars and go somewhere more reputable who takes customer service seriously, otherwise you will have to rely on a third party like paypal to resolve any issues.Similar opinion? Appalling customer care for warranty
Have a Tefal pressure cooker which is faulty. Tefal have asked me to deal with YHD who refuse to honor the 10 year warranty as the name YHD is now owned by AER Group PL. under consumer law it makes no difference. Basically telling me to chase up the old owners ??

Terrible after sales service... Just hope you do not have to deal with returns or refunds.
Online list price for similar products was excellent - either matching a few others or a fraction lower. Order process easy and quick delivery (2-3 days) for an item showing in stock. All good to this point. However, item arrived and was faulty. Unfortunately it had numerous defects (most or all of which looked like manufacturing faults) and sometimes this happens so I sum it up as poor quality control off the line by the manufacturer and need to return or refund the item. Friendly person answered and after a discussion that the return and replacement procedure would likely take at least 1-2 weeks I simply requested a refund instead so I could buy the product elsewhere sooner (I needed to use it). They agreed to start this procedure and soon after the call I received a reply to my original email directing me to email another department with the photos and refund request, to which I did. And that's where it ended! No further response to date (2 weeks later) at all... nothing to confirm RMA and start the refund process. After a few days of nothingness I contacted the Scanpan distributor direct and had the issues rectified under their warranty procedure instead which was quick and easy. Issue resolved now but interestingly 2 weeks later and still nothing from YHD on this matter. In summary I can only give one star for a company that can takes your money and delivers your product in a speedy 2-3 days but does nothing and expects it normal to drag out any return/refund procedure of a faulty product into weeks on end.Similar opinion? I ordered a hedgren bag and although I waited anxiously for it to be delivered; it arrived, it was in cheap packaging and had muddy spots on its strap.

I am just so impressed as I ordered on Sunday and received delivery on Thursday at my front door. I really believe in buying in store but I simply couldn't this time as the price of my Global knife was so much better from 'Your Home Depot'.

Worst customer service will not replace or refund defective product
I purchased a set of sheets from YHD, after I washed them the 1st time, exactly following the instructions in my near new miele washing machine the pillow cases developed a strange pink mark al over them ( the sheets were a grey colour). I advised them straight away and they said they would look into it and get back to me, they never did contact me even though I contacted them numerous times. an idiot I can read and I have a $3,000 washing machine and none of my clothes or other linen are ruined. Even consumer affairs said they should remedy this but they refuse to even give me a credit note. I have sheets that are over 5 years old and none of them have this problem, these sheets are less than 6 months old and they look horrendous. s saying that Rowan supervisor of customer care, (what an ironic title) is unwilling to do anything as they blame the washing machine or chemicals used, how you can determine this without looking at the sheets is beyond me. As I have stated previously I followed the instructions to the letter, have a miele washing washing machine and used omo liquid like I do on the rest of my clothes, lines, towels etc and none of them have suffered the same fate. Worst customer service I ever seen
My Kitchenaid doesn't work properly. When it's on speed 6 the mixing bowl come of the metallic base. And the whole mixer is moving a lot. I called 4 times yesterday, their voicemail is full and nobody answer. I called again today no answer. I sent emails as well. I need my mixer to work and I have no assistance at all. Never buy on their website.
