How to remove the table?
1 answer
Just lift the table @ 45degees from the leg side & it will just lift off. There is a push button on the leg which will allow the leg to fold in

Can anyone suggest the best tyres to put on to a 2016 Avan Ovation M5. We have only done 30000kms and already need to replace them.
3 answers
Nick the tyres that are on your M5 are they the Michelin Agilis Camper 225/75/16 with a load rating of only 116 if they are then I would be happy with the 30000km as I have only got 16000km from mine before they were down to the tread wear indicators. (front only tyres)
I am replacing mine with another Michelin Agilis "Plus" tyre that has a load rating of 121 (more suit to the weight of our M5's) as the "camper" tyre is not an Australian type tyre and only come out from Europe on a new Fiat vehicle.
I have heard that Continental and Yokohama are also Ok.
Hi
Just going through the same exercise myself,Michelin 225/75R/16CP WITH LOAD RATING OF 118 (Agilis)
Would recommend you contact Tyres Sales, email tyresales.com.au or 1300897372 as they have plenty fittment centres in Australia.
Thanks Noel and John.
my current tyres are Michelin 225/75R16CP with 116Q (Not sure what that last code means?)

Tanyaasked
Hi, I have purchased a 2007 M3 Avan Ovation and cannot find any info as to whether a grey water holding tank is fitted, I can see the ball tap outlet but can't really see a tank for grey water ?
any help would be appreciated.
3 answers
Have you filled your sink up with water (plug in). once it is full pull the plug out and the go out side and see where the water is coming out from.
If that ball valve is turned off then i guess no water will come out from it. If you turn the valve on and water now comes out I would say that you do not have a grey water tank.
As it should store some water before draining.
Hope this helps, have you contacted Avan.
Jeff the owner his email address is [email protected] he is normal fairly helpful
Martin Long who is the service manager at Packenham [email protected] who is also normally helpful.
Regards
Noel
Hi Noel, just close off the the grey water tap outlet and when you unplug the sink etc the grey water will flow into the holding tank and not onto the road. Hope this is helpful
Hi Tanya, I would suggest that you have both drinking water & a grey water tank with amequivalent qty of clean water.
Looking under the van you would possibly be able to see a black tank, & a clear tank for drinking water, but to be double sure, give Avan a call, I have found them extremely helpful.
Hope you are enjoying your van as I am.
I've just finished a 7500 k trip up the coast from Melbourne to Rockhampton great Van.

When it is windy you to close windows or open fly screens. You just have to learn to live with it. It can quiet a lot of money to change windows, as they have to resize the open it well.
Magntic flyscreens are the best...

Anyone had trouble getting a Towbar fitted I have a 2006 Ovation but have been told by many Towbar fitters that due to the the lack of strength with the Chassis extension rails this could not be done eventhough A Van spares in Melbourne do supply a TowBar for My Vehicle consequently I Question of the integrity of the rear extension not only for the fitting of a Tow Bar but it,s overall safety in resisting serious damage in a rear end collision, one would have thought that the steel used for the extension was of a strength similar to the original chassis it bolts on to and certainly not much weaker,it would seem that while the Brochure states the weight that can be towed it fails to mention that a Tow Bar can,t be fitted to the rear of the Vehicle thus reducing it,s usable potential I also wonder how this part of the modification got certified for use in the first place any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

I own a 2006 Ovation Fiat Ducato with an after market tow bar fitted, specs braked trailer 1600 kg tow ball load 80 kgs. Has an engineers certificate to state and is noted on my rego certificate.
Hi thanks for the response re Tow Bar for A Van 2006 Ovation, was wondering were the origonal chassis ext rails suitable for the fitting or were new chassis extensions required as I,m now being told by Avan that My vehicle was never meant to have a tow bar fitted even though the Glossy brochue stipulates towing capacities as to imply that a towbar could be attached,no where in the Brochue does it say what I,m now being told by Avan, had I,ve known this prior to purchase I would not have bought this vehicle

Can anyone tell me the GCM of an AVAN Ovation M6. I asked the dealer and he just told me that the tow capacity of the vehicle is 1.5t depending on the capacity of the towbar itself. But I would really like to see a GCM so I know 100% I am not overweight when pulling a Jimny and being near full GVM capacity.

Not sure I have a m5. I contacted a company in Brisbane called north coach RV they helped me out to what I could tow.
Hi Erick, I obtained these figures from the official website of Avan Adelaide for the Fiat Ducato 3 ltr Ovation and the Avan Applause 2.3ltr motor has the same stats. FIAT DUCATO. I hope this is of some benefit. Cheers

We can’t seem to get our Electric Bed to work on an Avan M5 Ovation, have turned off everything and started again but still not working.Any Ideas?
Regards Kim

Hi Kim, sorry to hear that you are having issues with your electric bed. In any given situation for ourselves we have always contacted either John, Ian at Avan in Packenham and they will advise you as to your next step. Please feel free to tell John and Ian that I have suggested that you call them. Jeff Junior (the owner's son) is also extremely approachable. Good luck with your endeavours, kind regards Derek
Check the motor. It is in the hatch passenger side there is a little white lead that plugs in. We accidentally pulled ours out. Also check fuses
We had the same problem..found it was a fuse under the seat next to table at engine end.
