DISGRACEFUL airline. Will NEVER EVER book a flight with them again.
I booked flights in March to return to Australia and the very next day Air Asia cancelled my flights. They offered me the option of a FULL REFUND (I have this in writing from them). I immediately submitted a request for a refund (again I have proof in writing and received an acknowledgment and advice from them that they would issue a refund). It has now been almost 3 months and this disgraceful airline still has not provided a refund. I have disputed the original transaction with my bank via a credit card chargeback. Air Asia have the auda...Read more
city to challenge my dispute and claim to have emailed me in January and stated I did not respond. I didn’t make the booking until March!!! Apparently now Air Asia only wants to issue a useless credit. Credits are worthless in this environment of travel bans and COVID. This airline has no customer service number or email and passengers can only use their disgraceful robotic AVA system which doesn’t provide any help. I have never dealt with such a poor airline who are intent on keeping money they advised would be refunded. AIR ASIA CANCELLED MY FLIGHTS (NOT ME) AND THIS OCCURRED ONE DAY AFTER I BOOKED. They claim that their flights are non refundable and I agreed to this condition. So why then do I have 3 notifications from them stating that I was entitled to a refund? I will never ever book with this appalling airline again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Dishonest in pricing
I booked a return flight to Vietnam from Australia via Malaysia in 2018. Air Asia has charged me $100 AUS more than the amount shown to me before I committed to buy (I booked the ticket using AUS currency). After the trip, despite my complains about the over charged, Air Asia still refused to refund the overcharged amount. They required me to show the proof of the overcharged, which is impossible because it displayed only once for the customer to confirm and commit it. I didn't take the screenshot of the displayed price in the belief that Air Asia would not cheat the customer in such a way.

Zero would be the highest AirAsia deserves!
NO START GIVEN IN THIS RATE!!!!!!!!!
I am so tired to describe my hole story again after over a month trying to get some help to solve a cancelled flight by AisAsia and have never listen back from them.
I will never going to fly with them again, and I will make sure I will tell everyone to not do the same mistake as I did in choosing them for nothing. I will pay more because I value my hard work and my mental sanity. I believe in Karma and corruption is on a very cloudy and painful path, they will get in double what they give to people.
Shame on you AirAsia and all the stuff that participate with their disgusting scheme.

Do not book with AirAsia
I Booked flights for two people last year to fly this year April but then Covid happened, I requested a refund through the AVA system (which i was told would get a refund because of the Covid) but to my surprise I could only get a credit and only a credit for ONE PERSON not two, and no way of contacting people as the emails not answered and the number provided does not work !!!!!!!!! i will never book through this company again. I think it is disgusting, they have kept $450 of the $900 I paid for the flights.

This is substandard.
They employ resellers who then claim no accountability for refunds (either due to COVID19 or generically). Crap airline with crap subcontractors, should never be allowed to operate in Australia. Go away, crap, or repay first all damage you caused through refunds not received. Crap!!!

They cancelled my flights and I can not contact for refund.
I had my flights cancelled in March when Covid first started affecting airline flights in Australia. AirAsia claimed my money was refundable since AirAsia cancelled the flights. After many attempts at the AVA system, I finally got a case number. Now it has been over two months and I have not seen a cent and have not been able to contact them, no phone number, no email, and AVA will not direct to a live chat. Very angry at AirAsia support.

Warning Do NOT Fly with Air Asia or Malaysian Airlines
My wife is in China. She had a multi-entry visa for Australia. In January, I confirmed that her visa status was OK, and then we booked return flights for her to travel to Sydney. However, because of the pandemic the airlines were frequently cancelling flights. She eventually booked a flight with AirAsia to KL, with a connecting flight to Sydney via Malaysia in March. She caught the AirAsia flight to Kuala Lumpur; however, Malaysia had changed the immigration policy for Chinese: she was prevented from obtaining a transit visa on arrival!!. Appar...Read more
ently, there was a group of twenty Chinese stranded at the airport, they had to call the Chinese Embassy to negotiate their way through Malaysian immigration. By which time, she had missed the connecting flight to Australia. Malaysian airlines refused to refund the ticket for the KL to Sydney flight!. There was another flight to Sydney the next day, so she had the ticket re-issued at the Malaysian Airlines booking office in the KL airport; she had to pay full fare for the next day's flight. But, when she went to check-in she was denied boarding because she was required to quarantine for 14 days. However, Australian family members and spouses are exempt from this requirement. I even spoke with the Malaysian check-in person over the phone, but they refused her to board. And they refused to refund the re-issued airfare!!! Air Asia in taking the original booking did not ask my wife about her visa status, they did not advise her that she would be denied a Transit Visa on arrival in Malaysia. They have also lied about refunding the airfares; she made a refund claim to which she received a message that a refund would be processed within 30 days, that was two months ago, it has not been refunded. Also, do not fly with Malaysian Airlines, and do not travel through Malaysia. When my wife had the KL to Sydney ticket re-issued for the next day, at the Malaysian Airlines booking office KL airport, no one asked about her nationality/passport, or visa status, and no one told her that she would not be able to board the MAS flight the next day because she would need to quarantine to 14 days!! They took her money knowing that she would be denied boarding onto the flight!! Air Asia and Malaysian Airlines are crooks!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Never Fly with Air Asia
COVID-19 meant flights with four airlines from Australia to and within the Philippines were cancelled. Three of the airlines have agreed to refunds with no fuss. Air Asia, although originally appearing to offer refunds, have in the end bluntly refused. Last AVA chat with their representative was truly bizarre - can be summarized as rudely presented, bizarre, irrational and illogical reasoning. Have copied the chat. Example - "government says we dont have to refund" but would not respond to question about which government this was.
No one should ever consider flying with Air Asia!

Do not choose it, they will not refund your ticket under COVID-19
Do not choose them!!! They are liars and will mess-up your bookings.
I have booked them for trip to Taiwan and unfortunately impacted by COVID-19. So I have requested for a refund, AA changed their refund policy every day. In the beginning, it is voluntary, and then it is a credit account request and finally, it is refund back to original payment. So I have chosen credit account while the refund back to original payment is not available at the time. Soon when refund back to original becomes available, I raised refund case again. Then I have co...Read more

Worst customer service
Air Asia cancelled flight 15days before departure date because of covid-19, fair enough but they didn't even send me an email about cancellation. The itenerery disappeared from my big member account. What a joke when I type in the Booking number through AVA, it says "you didn't pay for the ticket..... common Airasia you keep our hard earned money and don't even want to credit the account straight way and It takes 16 weeks to get the money credited to the account. Common man it's not fair..

Do not use this airline..
Betrayed feel completely betrayed by this airline.
Been waiting for something, anything from Airasia since they canceled my flight. AVA please! What a joke around and around with absolutely no result no return contact, nothing. BIG Loyalty Program member for years? Nothing more than a farce. I've been a long time user of this airline, 24 flights alone in the past couple of years but never again, Scoot/Jetstar in future for me. Do not use this airline

They have very bad refund service. Not happy at all. They don’t even have good customers services like no contact details. You can only chat with Ava at air Asia

Strongly advise against booking with them
AirAsia cancelled my flight and have been very irresponsible and unresponsive to my refund request. After an endless wait I received an email requesting my BIG Member ID so that they could redeem the value to my Credit Account. But I was entitled to a full refund at the time of submitting the request and have never authorized them to change that to credit redemption. It was super spooky. Not to mention their near complete lack of customer service. I think this airline should disappear (after paying us all back of course).

Annoyed
We also have been trying to get in touch with AirAsia re the same thing as we have bookings for the same time frame also. Talking to Ava will only give simple answer. Come on AirAsia at least give us a refund on our 4 seats or a credit on our flights so we can use what we payed for. If they are flying into Australia why do they not have a contact number in Australia. At this point in time I will only give them a 1 star as they should step up and help there future travels in this time with this virus. We have used them before and found them to be ok.

AVA, the wild goose chase expert!!!
Where do I start ? Never and I mean never make a mistake with your booking details. You will cry in frustration when trying to amend spelling errors etc, especially with AVA standing at the door, a seemingly impossible obstacle to get through. Once you finally go through her 40 different times, she finally bows down and lets you change that misplaced "t" to the correct "y".... That was the 'easy' part....

otions that flow out whilst waiting in line for the famous allstar treatment.... flights booked 4 months ago, due to fly out soon and still not a courtesy email, letting me know my 200 attempted cases are being reviewed or have been received. Credit please?? "Well sir, we can't seem to find you on our system please try again later." *falls to knees a broken man* One single tear hits the floor... up I get . Alas I try again! It's actually comical how bad the customer service is, almost scam like in feeling. If I had one wish it would be to speak to a human that in no way shape or form resembles the bot like characteristics of the malfunctioning AVA! In summary, I have learnt a hard lesson and still currently in the depths of that lesson. No more air asia and no more AVA. Let's all do our bit and boycott services like this in Australia. Accepted "Flight Credit" 1 Month Later Still Waiting. (UPDATED)
My Flights SYD-KUL-SYD have just passed (of course I couldn't travel due to Covid-19 Travel Restrictions from Australia). Nearly a month before I was due to depart I lodged the "Voluntary Cancellation" option through "AVA" after being notified that my flights have been cancelled.. A month later I still have my case "Open" and have not heard a single thing back regarding a future flight credit. Let me also say, the online "Bot" Chat system used by Air Asia has to be the most infuriating and pointless way to have paying customers resolve any prob...Read more
lems they are having with bookings..! Additionally, only 1 dedicated Customer Care Contact Number (For India Customers Only)...? Very disappointing for a airline that has a impressive rate of growth over many years (and one which I have been a frequent customer of for over the last 10yrs). I understand this is a very challenging time for the aviation industry we are all doing it tough right now. Got a email from Tony Fernandes (CEO) Air Asia today. Tony, if you are reading this yes I will accept your Credit Offer but when can I expect it..??? And PLEASE get rid of AVA and introduce a streamlined "Contactable" and dedicated Customer Care Centre where customers can call a Real Person in the future..!! **UPDATE** - Finally received a Flight Credit that is valid until 15-4-21. Thank You Air Asia. Hopefully Covid-19 will have settled by end of 2020..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I have just upgraded my departure flight only on 7, July 2022 and paid the differences. In the previous invoice, I have paid the meal and baggage fees for the return flight on 16, June 2022 but the new invoice that I received for the upgraded did not show up. I would like to know what happened? The meal I purchased showed on the invoice of the return flight, but NOT the baggage that I purchased on a bundle. WHY?
I have been contacting the call centre in Australia (81882133), but always showed me "caller busy". Please sort these out.
