Air Wick FreshMatic (page 2 of 3)

I've used these since they were released on the UK. They always worked fine until recently. They spray briefly then just stop. Total waste of money! Maybe the Design has been changed?

After each spray, the top of the device will lift itself up on its own and it no longer can spray. I have to twist it back to close it if I want it to spray again. Not sure if I got a defective device or if the design is flawed. I spent $12 already on a device that doesn't work so I don't feel like spending another $12 to see if it's the device or the design.

Well where do I begin. My home is naked without these. I basically go bankrupt buying them because the price goes up all the time. But I dont care. I have 5 in my home. I love the fresh smell the changing smells. Most of the times I have different ones through my house. So when you walk thru it never smells the same. Please don't think I'm a smelly dirty person. I love the smell of clean. I could not live without them. Thankyou airwick. And for those who haven't tried. Seriously you have to. You won't regret it.

I have two air wick and both constantly pop apart I'm finding this very frustrating does anyone else have this problem .I'm just constantly putting them back together only to have it happen over and over .

I doubt anyone will even look for a review on this particular product, and the only reason I am writing a review is to warn people about one very strange fault with the product. I bought the Airwick Freshmatic with the lavender scent. I assembled the unit and waited for the automatic mist thing to happen. I actually forgot about it, until a weird sound made me jump because I really thought someone was in the room with me! Someone with a very bad cold!!! When the unit releases the mist it makes a sound like someone making a very LOUD double...

Have used a few airwick products, which they have all being relative good.
Except for one. The reed diffuser airwick signature vanilla bean and white truffle is the WORST smell i have ever come across with scents, reed diffusers, candles and perfumes.
Guests had commented on the over powering reed diffuser, so in the bin it went !
Safe to say, will never ever buy that again. Jay

My Airwick Freshmatic I-Motion dispenser stopped working after I replaced the first can of freshener. The call support person was helpful and arranged for the product to be picked up, repaired and returned to us without cost. But they didn't do just that... they replaced my old dispenser with a brand new one as a gesture of goodwill as mine was an old discontinued model.

I'm impressed by their customer care and pride in their reputation for manufacturing superior products worldwide.

Comes apart in the middle then, of course, will not spray until it is reassembled. Usually happens when I leave for the day, so the freshness is not maintained! Really wish they would make a despenser that will stay connected!

just bought new airwick automatic spray. It keeps unscrewing its self in the middle and then it stops working. We did have it on a screw on the wall but it fell off and ended up on floor. We are taking product back for a refund.

Trying to contact home office because I am having a problem with my sprayers. Every time I go to 'Contact Us' it keeps showing a page 'Error' Switching to Glade.

I bought the genuine Air Wick FreshMatic from Woolworths. It works once then the red light keeps flashing.

I bought this Air Wick FreshMatic from Coles to freshen up the bathroom but even on the lowest setting, I was overwhelmed by the smell even in other rooms.

So when I contacted Air Wick twice about this and what do I need to do to see what happens next such as a refund.

Got no replies even a reply to say they have got my feedback and even those they have my email and phone number.

So Air Wick Freshmatic and Air Wick Customer Services both gives out overwhelming bad smell.

Have hunted everywhere for the spray refills and can't find them anywhere to buy. Worked quite well but am frustrated at not being able to replace refills, Annoyed Grrr Grrr

Bought one of these but for the love of money I can't get it to work. Original scent can with bar coded nozzle, New batteries and still I get the red flashing light of doom. Avoid and go buy one of the Airpure devices, hassle free and half the price.

This product caused me serious health problems, that I hope to one day recover from. Shortness of breath, headaches, nasuea, dizzy, depression, anxiety, shaking, blury vision, very fatigued and stomach problems. Never again will I touch any air freshener!

I have one and its okay.. i use NIMH batteries 2500Mah (Rechangeable battery) and they lasts 4-5 months..
but problem with red light flashing is that the sensor reports a INCOMPATIBLE spray can.. okay just replace the caps with one on old can and problem fixed ;)

Diffuser was very effective the first time. Watch out if you walk too close it will spray you. The same complaint expensive after trying to replace with several new battery sets dispenser no longer operational.

Do not buy thinking you will be able to replace the cartridge, as I bought two of them and they both ran out the same time and neither would work when I replaced the cartridges. Never again. U will be better off to just spray air fresher from. Can now and again.

Bought this unit but it stopped working pretty quickly. To be able to email Air Wick, you have to register on their website, giving contact details, name, address, tel no:, email address, DOB (why?) etc. and then confirm you accept their T&C's!! All this just to email them??

Jumped through all of the hoops, reluctantly, but if I wanted the communicate with Airwick what choice did I have? But all to no avail, their standard automated reply asked me to check everything I confirmed I had checked in my original email and despite repeated requ...

I love the new range of air wick sense and sprays. I currently have 3 in my home which spray every 25 minutes. They leave a long lasting smell and work particularly well in more smaller areas. The refills may be pricey but you only need one unit which lasts for ages. I am happy with the fragrance. Personally I like the winter moments fragrance it smells like baked pear crust and vanilla.

Bought this unit and after 4 months it stopped working.
Bought the air wick refill and the red light started to blink off and on.
Replaced the batteries thinking they might be low on power but refused to spray.
I emailed air wick direct explaining the situation with the barcode and product number and yet I did not recieve a reply.
I emailed them a second time and still no reply from them.
Very poor customer service and cannot understand why they would have a contact us button because they do not reply back at all.
Extremely disappointed and will not purchase air wick again.

The unit I bought didn't look like the one in the heading photo (bulky ugly looking thing) but was packaged and branded as Air Wick Freshmatic. The unit is difficult to open and awkward to mount anywhere. It worked fine until the 3rd refill and then would not recognise the genuine Air Wick refill. Used 2 sets of batteries in that time too. Pretty disappointing. I'm using the refill manually and then going back to the scent sticks in oil deodoriser. At least there is nothing to break down.

We purchased this in good faith because it was a trusted brand but then coles and Woolworths decided not to carry the refills in their wisdom,they will probably bring in their own home brand soon

I found nothing wrong with this product its very good, but the packaging is the problem trying to get it open is very hard & dangerous as you have to fight your way in with scissors please you need to do something about this urgently before someone hurts themselves.

Packaging so hard to open

We use this off and on, predominantly when we have guests / visitors, but put it away for the most part as I don't really care for the scents and find they don't last very long so can be very inefficient and expensive to get refills all the time. Would prefer a better variety of scents.
