I tried two stores today all had been sold (Hamilton &Mayfield) where else can I be sure to get one in the Newcastle Area.
you are never sure of getting a special buy at Aldi. Fixed provision of special lines and one supply per sale keeps them special. I am not aware of any other outlets for the special buy items from Aldi. I think they are made for and distributed by Aldi. At least in Australia. If you can't find one locally you can ask them if any of their stores still have stock. They have always been helpful about that to me.
I was hoping Aldi would let me know which Aldi in my area Newcastle still had them
It’s always a good idea when asking a question like this to contact Aldi direct. I’m like you, a customer.
I purchased an Aldi Gardenline mower Model YOJ237 2x20 V x2AH some time ago, I was told that the Xfinity plus 20volt X4 AH would increase the range of the mower, I purchased 2x20x 4ah batteries this morning at Aldi Rockhampton Qld and cannot start the mower. Mick
I have 2 year old Aldi battery mower; it won’t start, despite fully charged batteries (which are operating strimmer happily). Is it still covered by warranty? And who would do repair?
My Aldi 20 x 20 volt electric mower. Mine has a 5 year warranty. The batteries have a 1 year warranty. Most if not all makes of rechargeable batteries always have 1 year warranty. Contact the After Sales team with your purchase details. They are positive & polite.
Mower cuts out, now won't start at all. The batteries are showing 40 v out
I had a similar problem when I first bought mine. That was because it was new, and battery compartments were tight. A simple wipe of the battery compartment with a lubricant solved the problem. I’ve now used my mower on my extensive lawn for almost a year. My only criticism is. 2 batteries, 1 charger. 1 hour to charge each battery.
They obviously designed the mower accessories with the reluctant gardener in mind..
Unfortunately it is solved by purchasing an Aldi cordless drill that comes with charger and battery. I use the battery charger to charge the second mower battery... So 2 batteries and two chargers = 1 hour.
Less beer and TV time while waiting for the batteries to charge so we can get out there for another 15 minutes of mowing.
What type of battery charger is it
It’s the same charger that comes with the 2 batteries. You can only charge 1 at a time.
Any Aldi XFINITY cordless product uses the same battery and charger, so you just need to go shopping for more power tools.
Just remember to always buy another battery and charger with any Aldi tool.
Send Aldi a message to only sell their XFINITY family cordless tools with a big supply of batteries and chargers on the same day, or walk away, leave the orphaned tools on the shelves.
Why does my Aldi battery mower (3 months old) refuse to start, with fully charged battery, empty grass box safety clip in, battery fully in, just makes a slow metallic pinking noise.
That sounds like a technical problem. The team at Aldi After Sales are helpful. I’m sure they can offer a solution. It’s a shame the problem started after the 60 day return policy.
I’m having trouble removing my battery could somebody help me please
New mowers & batteries are a little hard to remove. You need string fingers to operate the release switch on the battery. It had to be a tight fit. This is to stop instant stopping with vibration when operating the mower. It’s a great mower! You can buy a different make & model, costing almost $600.
I’m having trouble removing the battery to charge it because somebody help me please thank you
I would ask the after Sales team. They are very polite & helpful. There is a button on the battery that you need to press. On newer machines they are sometimes a bit stiff. I had the same trouble with getting the battery to connect. Some solid soap helped me.
Thank you
My mower is brand new and it won't go
There could be a number of reasons. Firstly make sure the batteries are showing all green lights. Next is to make sure the batteries are coming into contact with the mowers electrics. New mowers are sometimes tight to lock in to make contact. It should click in. As the mower has a 5 year warranty, ring the after sales staff. The batteries only have a one year warranty. The mower is goid as are the staff on the phone.
Neither batteries are showing green lights. I know the batteries are okay as they're working in whipper snipper
Thank you for replying to my question. I will ring infinity
How did you go ringing the After Sales team at Aldi. I’m sure they solved your problem.
This is the section for Aldi mower that was sold Oct 2022 and Jan 2020.
How can your Aldi mower be brand new?
If your mower is brand new, then you have a digital readout of charge. Numbers showing 100 as a percentage of charge when you take batteries off the charger after they have been fully charged.
If your batteries do not have working charge indicator LED, illuminated digits or 3 green dots then they are NOT alright.
There is a booklet with instructions about pressing the button to show the charge status of the battery.
The problem of not showing charge status could be the button... or it could be you need a person who knows to press the button, having read the instructions first.
I didn't realise that I had to put white thing in. When I rang company I was informed
Where can I purchase new blade for this mower plus string for the accompanying whipper snipper please.
Re Whipper Snipper Model ST1610 & Mower Model Y0J237 - I dug out my manual. I ts says for after sales support ph 1300 418 640 OR email [email protected]
I got a new blade simply by contacting the number on the manual. I think it was around $20, plus postage. Great team. Whipper snipper takes 1.6mm. But it will take 2.0. The cheap cord is a waste of money. I now use 2.0 mm in mine. Lasts longer. It’s difficult to wind in. Need to keep the fitting clean to avoid it sticking.
In the olden days, nobody replaced blades on mowers, we just unbolted them, put them in the vice and sparks fly when the grinder gets into them.
You can keep grinding those blades for years, thinner and thinner until a piece breaks off and the mower starts wobbling off balance.
If the mower was still running well, then it deserved new blades. The mower has to earn new blades.
So my Aunty got this mower 4 years ago. used about 3 times maybe 4. Put in a shed. won't start now. fresh fuel. battery charged. what could be the problem. It does try to start. To me seems is a fuel blockage.
So go an email to log back in. yet no answer to anything no ongoing to the Questions..... Was that an automated response????????
Batteries generally last up to 2 years. I’m sure the instructions advise the owner to keep the batteries fully charged regardless of use. Car batteries are similar.
there is nothing wrong with the battery. the mower wants to start. seem the new fuel won't get to where it needs. it starts like a motor the is cold. and won't... seem starved of fuel.
My electric mower doesn’t use fuel. Which model do you have (model identification details)
Hi just wondering where to get replacement carbon brushes from for this mower?
Kind regards
Charmaine
Got my mower in Jan 2021 being going well for 6 months, then this morning would not start.inserted and reinserted batterys, made sure fully charged, inserted circuit breakerdozen times, will not start,I am lost
Check “behind” the blades to ensure nothing is caught thus restricting complete free blade movement.
Mine collected a small plastic bag = will not start. Took me a week to find the bloody thing as the plastic bag was black and near impossible to see.
Hi Swimmer, did blade check as suggested, but still not, firing, doubled check over everything. thanks
Contact the Aldi After Sales team. It’s a good choice.
Your Aldi mower is a newer model than the Oct 2022 or Jan 2020.
It must have different issues. I would also be asking about the safety switches on the handle.
