On Feb 2nd I joined AF & 7th I went back to say I don't want to continue. They did not inform initially about entry tag not refunded. I lost $80.00 just on the tag.
AF thanks for your prompt response. I paid $80.00 for the Key Fobs. Could you please let me know where can I use your Key Fobs apart from accessing your gym. The price that you have kept for the access key is ridiculous, please rethink on the price.

The Manager at the Toombul franchise was very unconvincing and actually made me feel a bit uncomfortable when I was in to look around wanting some good info on the offer they have.
Said that the membership fees would be waived (only until this Saturday) but we would need to pay an "International access fee" of $80+ for whatever that is.
I don't want international access and only want a local gym to do some basic stuff in.
I would suggest the staff get their sales pitch worked on and give a whole lot more "Enthusiastic" information when approached for membership.
Based on my first experience I wont be joining them and will continue my journey looking at other local offers.

will provide you limited information and trap you in a lock-in contract which they will not let you cancel no matter how hard you try even if the reasons are genuine, and they will also charge you extra while you cancel at the end of the period

This is my local gym and it is just what I want, you can talk and socialize if you want and be alone if you want. Has all the equipment I need and more

I’m going between two places so I’m enjoying the flexibility of attending two sites at a time of my convenience.
The staff at coorparoo gym are very friendly and feel they have done a good job of ensuring clean sprays are always available to wipe down the gym equipment.

Sales pitch before signing up saying its normally $200 for signup and keycard, but for me only $100. i mentioned how expensive that was compared to every other gym near me to which they responded the likes of "Your wrong this is cheap". I said I cant afford that and they basically said "That's okay just sign up anyway".

Read more wont let her cancel, and only way out is to try and get someone else to buy your membership, which when they do they have 7 days to go back on that and the membership becomes yours again. Feels bad trying to get someone to buy your membership because you know you're conning them yourself. They have refused to tell me that figure (which I think is about $80). They have also refused to respond to calls, texts etc so that I can sort it out. Meanwhile I'm being contacted by Debit Success which has an account for me with a balance owing of $1400. I had to join anytime as I travel weekly for work. I have now visited 5 different Anytimes throughout QLD and NSW and have hated every single one. Very limited equipment, all of the gyms are tiny making any form of walking lunges etc impossible. Another thing I noticed is the lack of atmosphere or friendly welcoming staff, something I am not used to in a gym.
For example, Oran Park Anytime has two yoga balls which are both completely flat and not fit for use, no slam medicine balls, about 3 benches which are impossible to get a turn at etc. this made my program impossible to complete
So disappointed I joined this gym and am angry I now have to pay 11 months of membership at gyms I hate going to.

Do not trust this gym franchise they have no compassion and will still charge an arm and a leg regardless if the whole world is going through a pandemic or not. During a global pandemic they're still charging a $400 cancellation fee, they're heartless and do not care about anything but making money..

I have been with anytime Capalaba QLD for 9 years.
I am health professionals and due to Covid wave, I put by my membership on freeze
After even after freeze my membership continue to deducted in full for six weeks, there was only email and one mobile number provided to contact, which always goes on message, email was un answered.
Eventually managed to contact a gentleman who promised me to refund money as it was an error.

I have had a terrible experience dealing with anytime fitness Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast Queensland.
I have been a member since 2016 but from last 3 months due to their mismanagement anytime fitness charging me twice a month.After chasing them through emails and calls i have got a refund for oct 2020 and Nov 2020 but now i am waiting their response for dec 2020 refund.
Now in January 2021 they have deducted the weekly payments for 2 weeks of January 2021 but still they send an email that your membership has been cancelled.

Charged four weeks up front at end of contract to cancel and wouldn’t refund deposit on access key that was paid for at beginning. Don’t sign up to this ripoff.

You get what you pay for at the end of the day, shame they don't have better equipment but for a simple gym experience it's ok, as long as you train yourself
