Apollo Peleton 2011
Solid bike, bought it for $850 new from bikeforce.
Full 9 speed tiagra setup, carbon forks and seatpost and a nice pro loggo kappa saddle at a excellent price.Good budget shimano w500 wheels are rock solid for a 100kg rider, done probably 400km on it so far with no punctures or spoke problems.
Quite a light bike probably 10kg with a full saddle bag, this bike will give me a couple of years before i consider upgrading.
reliable,inexpensive,changes gears well.

2003 Model was great!
I had a 2003 Raceline Peleton (Raceline was the brand's previous name before it became Apollo). It was a beautiful looking bike that I purchased for $1500. The current model is selling a little less than this which is great considering inflation. In short I would highly recommend this bike as it is a good price considering that you get a Tiagra group set, other high quality parts, it is light, and also that the bike is an absolute pleasure to ride.
Racers in general are fantastic as they are so light and accelerate very quickly.
Beautiful bike with great quality parts

Okay for a first bike
While visting austrailia for a couple weeks I decided to hire a bike so I wouldn't miss out on my training while away.
I am used to high end bikes so this bike is some what different! but yet still an enjoyable ride.
The first thing I thought when I saw the bike was "an apollo? you gotta be joking" as in the UK apollo make the $50 though away bikes, but I was assured that this was an aus top company (maybe)
I was impressed with the shimano r500 wheelset that was stiff and of a decent weight for the price point, in fact the whole bike was pre...Read more
tty stiff and felt good in a sprint. The compact chainset combined with an 12-25 cassette limiting but then as this bike is most likely to be ridden but causal cyclists this wouldn't be an issue. I had a choice of two bike when renting this bike, the other being a better looking giant but the comfort geomertry made that feel like a mtb and the peloton is much more like a real race bike but without being to streched out and low for new comers. I was never that happy on the fast decents due to the really poor brakes and a nervous feeling from the bike when over 65 km, I feel a longer stem would help with this. stiff, tough poor braking and UGLY as hell

Excellent
I bought the 2009 model of this bike for a great price, several hundred off retail and have had no issues whatsoever
Great Shimano running gear, solid light & durable frame,
Ive done over 450km's on it so far in 3 weeks and am enjoying it greatly
The best value upgrade i can see over standard would be a better wheelset, otherwise the bike is a great way to get into road cycling
I was hesitant about buying an Apollo but at around 50% of the price of other brands with similar components i took the risk and im happy to say it paid off
Give this bike a look if your in the market for a new road bike but dont want to spend several thousand dollars to get started
