Constantly freezes
Bought this last year. Screen freezes and doesn’t respond to touch. Apple replaced it. Replacement doing the same thing. About to have the replacement replaced! A very expensive piece of frustration
Purchased in June 2021.

This device has changed my life
This device has changed my life. As a musician I have to store a huge amount of music. This iPad allows me to not only store digital copies of all my music but it also allows me to play directly from the device. Brilliant.
Purchased in January 2021 for $1,700.00.

Makes my life so much easier.
I use an iPad Pro every day, and mainly for work tasks (teaching, making presentations, and having important documents/emails in front of me at meetings). It's much lighter and easier to carry than a laptop. I have an attachable keyboard with it (the one Apple sells), which I think adds a lot of use-value to the iPad. I haven't even gotten to the pencil yet! It's great! No more writing something on paper, taking a photo, and then emailing or uploading. You can do that all digitally, and it's much easier to erase, change colours, make per...Read more
fect shapes (boxes, circles, etc.). I use the 12.9" because it's best for work stuff, but a smaller one is suitable for non-work purposes I would say. The built-in speakers are the best tablet speakers I've yet to hear. If you watch movies on this (without headphones), the sound is surprisingly good! I don't use the camera on the device, so I don't have much to say about that. Battery life is very very good. The pencil needs charging more often though, and that is easy to do (just stick it into the lightning port on the ipad).Purchased in December 2021 at Apple Online store.

What I expected
I bought this to replace my iPad2, which lacked storage space. I decided to put all my music on an iPad, and wanted more storage and a bigger screen. It's basically what I expected. But I am surprised at how much power it eats just being on. Charging has to be done at night because it takes so long. I didn't find out till much later, but you can spend an extra $105.00 for a fast charger, but nobody can show me how fast it is, so I've passed on that. I've had a couple of glitches with the pencil, but everything else has worked well.

Great - but accessories over priced
Clarity of the screen is amazing and the processing speed is very fast. I am really enjoying using it, although I am still in two minds if the 12.9" is a bit big. My problem was the 10.5" might be a bit small... I have also noticed that the my hotspot connection to my iPhone is constantly dropping out. The unit itself also feels very fragile - but that might be because it is new! It would be good if like on the Surface Pro the stylus pen would attach to the iPad itself and have a build in stand. The other frustrating aspect is the expense of the stylus, keyboard and other accessories. BUT, it looks great, and some of the apps are fantastic and they seem reasonably price.

Missing Stuff, but is good
Not quite a desktop replacement as It needs a good coding apps (xCode please!!). Pencil is excellent but easy to loose. Keyboard is good but is a little "Floppy" when in cover mode. The 12.9 should only be purchased by those planning to draw or type a lot as its do big for regular bed or couch browsing...
