Best PC I worked on
It is slim, cool, matte screen 17", comfy to carry around (and I do), everything just works and never misses the bit. And NO VIRUSES. Mac's computer OS's see viruses just as a text, not a programme. Using skin over keyboard with different language letters - very helpful. 5 out of 5 from me and I had many very expensive and cool laptops before - like 6 -7. This is the best one to date!
slim, reliable, slick
expensive

Died after 13 months!!! Not Apple!!
I like most have heard wonderful things about the MacBook so purchased a 17inch 3 years ago, I love that its virus free & doesn't get bogged down with updates, its beautifully crafted metal casing & its long battery life.... all of which are of little use when only a month after the warranty runs out (13months)it does a motherboard & is quoted at $1200 to get fixed!! I had already spend almost $3000 on the laptop so this wasn't an option. I contacted apple & te
he place of purchase which did no good at all.

Good
Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who is considering trying something new, I was a pc user for a long time and finally gave in to all the hype but it has been worth it, macs are certainly a fantastic unit and I think I will stick with them from now on, especially as they are no where near as prone to virus's as a conventional windows machine.
I really like the look and the simplicity of the design, it's a very smooth fast laptop to use and its very well built with very little plastic as the unit is made out of aluminium. Hard dri...Read more

Best Windows PC Available
I develop Windows software for the oil industry and had never had an Apple product before. I was surprised when on a trip to the US a colleague was running his developments on a Mac, but foudn out that his company generally was making the switch after problems with Dell reliability.
When my own Dell started needing a reboot evey 10 to 20 minutes, I couldn't afford to be without a reliable PC and bought a Mac book pro 17" and Windows 7 and had it up and running via bootcamp with in a few hours.
It now boots straight to Windows and is a gre...Read more
at PC, fast and with a brilliant 1920x1200 display. I have a magic mouse but generally run it with a usb keyboard and scroll mouse plugged in. No middle button on the Magic mouse which is frustrating for Windows. Likewsie the mac keyboard doesn't have all the keys you need. Reliable, fastSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad
Mac's have heaps of problems, yet no one really acknowledges them. I guess its the brand loyalty, this idea that Apple can do no wrong.
Due to a piece of producing software I am virtually forced to use a Mac. Everything takes 3 times longer, but everyone claims they are simple.
Battery life is good.
People think im cool because I have a Mac.
Can wear tighter pants and ride a retro 10 speed bicycle.
Clearly form over function. We rip on the PC variants of laptops becasue they dont look like Mac's, but when you think about it, there is a ...Read more

Excellent
Overall, this is another great product from Apple. Perfect for student studies and also great for the whole family to use.
It has a fast processor which means programs load very quickly! Having dedicated graphics meaning everything loads so quickly. The colours on the screen pop out and it simply looks excellent! It is a slick design, and the trackpad is big and easier to use than previous models, and the speakers are also better. The webcam is great too.
The headphone jack sometimes does not work properly for a few seconds when you plug the headphone jack into the port. Apart from that, I cannot fault the computer!

Overall a great computer. I use it as my main computer and I take it with me everywhere.
Previously I had windows for the past 15 years and glad I made the switch. Easy to get my head around the different operating system. Not really a 'computer wizz' but I have had no issues setting it up. Doesn't have glitches like my PC use to have. Doesn't crash and doesn't cause me any headaches.
Looks pretty, Not too expensive $1500 for 13 inch in my price range.
Pretty to look at, fashionable, easy to use, durable
the markup on accessories and software. Have to check compatibility on software and additional hardware ie. Printers.

Light years ahead of any other OS. The hardware is solid and well put together but you will get solid hardware at this price with most machines. You DO get crashes on Macs but they are far less frequent and seldom as catastrophic as those on Windows machines.
Excellent stability. Rock solid performance in music production. Fast boot up. Virus free (althugh the Windoze fan boys will tell you otherwise, 5 years on OSX with no anti-virus and NO viruses)
I really don't like the file structure with regards to where various files are saved.

The best computer equipment I have ever used - sure it took me 20 years to get educated and finally took the plunge and went totally Apple and have never been happier - no virus problems, excellent customer support and quality above anything I have previously owned. It takes a while to see the light but once you have you start to understand the reason Apple users always look so smug.
I have two Apple computers and now that I have used the laptop the older G5 desktop hardly gets switched on. Apple quality is excellent and they work. Sorry PC users - you are still living under a rock.

The Apple MacBook Pro is by the greatest computer ever created. I own mine since February of 2007, and in the 20 or so months that I have owned it, the battery capacity (Apple software lets you so the normal amount of cycles for your battery and the current amount that yours gets; cycles basically is how good your battery is still doing) have only decreased by 1%. The original battery capacity of one of these babies is 6300 mAh, and my 20 or so month old battery has a current capacity of 6248 mAh; a less than 1% decrease. And don't even get ...Read more
me started about Apple's WONDERFUL operating system, and since I'm not reviewing that I won't. The keyboard is so elegant is wonderful, yet durable and tough. The trackpad is quite amazing. Also, did you know the AC adapter port is magnetic? Well, it is. I've been in about 4 or so situations where if it wasn't magnetic I would've trip and my computer would've fallen, but all that happened was a little *ploop* and the cord disconnected and nothing bad happened! On a PC, I would've needed to ice down my arm and take my PC into a repair shop. That's all I have to say about this wonderful, revolutionary computer! Great sized screen, great battery life, durable hardware Can get hot (but all laptops do),Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
