Best formula ever!
This formula is amazing! Easy to prepare and my son absolutely loves it! So first of all i was breast feeding up till 2 months then i started uni and i was breastfeeding and formula feeding so i started with S-26 gold and my son hated it he was sooky with it he vomited a lot with it and then i tried NAN optipro ha gold and he had the same problems and then i was like i might try something thicker so i got the Aptamil AR gold and he was really good with that and then i wanted to go back to something normal so i tried the Aptamil ha gold and hes really happy with it! I love it!

Successful experience
Due to hospitalisation from birth to one month, my son and I had to work very hard to establish breastfeeding, which we have now achieved at four months. My son was fed expressed breast milk, however he required more than I could express at times, so formula was used. In the hospital they used a different formula and my son was unable to keep it down and had stomach pains. Once home I received advice from the pharmacist, who informed me formula labelled HA is easier for babies to digest and has closer characteristics of breast milk compared to ...Read more
other formulas. My son hasn't had any issues with Aptamil Gold+ HA and hasn't indicated to know the difference between the formula and expressed breast milk. The Aptamil Gold+ HA is easy to prepare, my son appears to enjoy it and I appreciate the inclusion of Omega Three. I recommend this formula, especially worth a try if your little one has difficulties keeping other formulas down or tends to have regular stomach discomfortSimilar opinion? Not perfect but good overall
I have been using this formula for about 5 weeks now changing from S26 Gold Comfort. I find this formula is easy to dissolve and it is useful that it is made with 30mls of water per scoop. It allows for more variation in the amount of formula I make up per bottle. Other brands usually are made with 50mls or 60mls per scoop. My baby seems to be tolerating this formula well. It has a nice smell and looks more like milk. He has not had any constipation on this formula compared to when we were using S26 Gold. However, I have noticed that his gas and poops have become a lot more unpleasant smelling. The availability of this formula has been good as well. I have been able to purchase it from Woolworths Online and my local Chemist Warehouse.

Good brand, hard to find
My child has used this brand of formula since the hospital. I have continued with it as my child had no problems drinking this formula. The only thing is being able to find this product anywhere in shops. When I do, I normally stock up S much as I can.

Great Products, Lacking Stock
This formula is easy to prepare and it is well-liked by the baby.
To date, I haven't noticed any side effects of the formula yet but the main issue with the formula is that it is hard to find in many supermarkets as they tend to be sold out or out of stock.

Really fantastic formula for my daughter
We really love the Aptamil range of formulas and have used them for both our children. When my second child was born, we were conscious that she may exhibit signs of milk protein intolerance like her older brother. I felt really comfortable commencing her on the Aptamil range and we started with the Aptamil Gold +. She was a bit unsettled on this so I moved her on to the HA. Instantly she settled well onto this formula and we have been very happy with it since.
It made me comfortable to know that there were other products in the range including the Allerpro which ended up being the only formula my son could drink. I also called the hotline on a number of occaisons and felt that they provided good, clear advice on preparation etc.

Good Formula but Large Volume per feed
I introduced this formula to my exclusively breastfed baby at 6 months of age. The can stated that the formula was made based on breast milk, i found this to be applicable for my daughter took it without any protests or tummy issues. The only thing i found different is that one feed is 240mls compared to other formulas which are 180mls. This is not a bad thing of your baby likes to drink a lot. However my baby usually doesn't drink that much as she is easily distracted. Overall i am happy with this formula and would recommend.

Excellent
Our 11 week has been on Aptimal since 2 weeks. The first couple of days on the formula, he had a bit of gas, but after that he has had no problems. Like all formulas though, his poos are really smelly. We did try other formulas but this one seems to work for our boy :-). Only thing, I wish Coles stocked it too!!!

Perfect for sensitive tummies
I have a milk allergy and when my twins weren't born we had them on APtamil Gold + as my son did really well on it. One of my twins would fry constantly so I tried her on AR formula thinking it was silent reflux however this isn't help. I then gave them HA formula as it is for sensitive tummies under advice from Nutricia and almost instantly she settled. They have been on it the whole time now and I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Highly recommended for babies with sensitive tummies.

Awesome
I love it. So does my 10 week old son.
This is our 5th attempt in finding a formula. We have now been referred to see a pedestrian. We tried so many my poor sons tummy. This is the one i think. we were at wits end in trying different formulas and we even used thickener which we found contains traces of milk and protein. Now he is diagnosed with a suspected protein allergy. My son is still gassy and fidgety but he is not constantly wailing and screaming the house down mind you he is getting used to a new formula. It's only been day two and were getting longer sleeps and less fuss. I hope this stays like this until we see a pedestrian and get a formal diagnosis.

Completely different baby
Ever since I brought my baby home he would cry nonstop. At first I thought it was colic he had allot of wind and shown signs of colic. I tried three different formulas, bottle changes and drops (nothing worked). A naturopath suggested to try hydrolyzed formula. I did some research to understand what exactly this meant and even though most information advised it was for babies who are prone to allergies. I should note that my family does not have a history of allergies but I was desperate to try anything. Hydrolyzed formulas have broken down pro...Read more
tein to help the baby’s stomach digest the milk much easier. Despite the smelly poos, bland taste my baby is no longer in distress. I add a little bit more water to prevent constipation and it works very well. I should also note my breast milk was also causing him distress as he would get abdomen pain and severely cry. I have now changed to giving him formula full time and plan to introduce my milk in addition to other full protein based formulas once his stomach becomes stronger and when he can handle it. This formula was seriously my last resort and it worked!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great!
My bub uses this formula since birth. She's now 7 months old and still with it. The taste is not so great but very gentle with her tummy. She got reflux around 2 months old. I changed to AR formula as doctor advised so. But she did not like the AR so I decided to stay with HA and let her took medicine for reflux instead of changing her formula.

One of the best!
My daughter has had reflux and also since the doctor said she might be allergic to cow's milk, we changed 7 formulas during the first 4 months of her life and finally this one was simply the best. It has fine grains, doesn't look thick, easy to digest, and tastes good.
She's been on this formula for the past 2 months, she's 6 months old, and we will keep it until she's 12 months old.

Didn't even make it 48 hours
We started my bub on S26 Original Lactose Free and it seemed to work well and he seemed relatively settled, normal poos etc however by the end of week 2 he was terribly constipated and basically screamed for two days straight. We decided to try a different formula so went to the A2 platinum after a lot of research. He seemed relatively settled again after the switch but then before we even got to the end of the tin, worse screaming and pain than before coupled with even worse constipation and the most gassy horribly smelling farts ever. uldn't sleep from the discomfort. A pediatrician friend then recommended aptimil gold HA and at first he seemed settled however we didn't even get 48 hours in before the screaming started again and this time the most foul smelling green lumpy poos that he struggled terribly to get out. Ended up switching back to the S26 at 2am after a sleepless day and night for my bubs.1 comment

This is the perfect formula for my baby boy!
I tried moving from expressed breastmilk to formula but after trying other formula that left my baby so constipated he was screaming i went back to expressed breast milk. I was scared to try formula again but i was recommended Karicare aptamil plus HA and it has been perfect for my boy. No constipation or reflux issues. Only issues is that its not as readily available at shops as other formula brands but its worth it.

Wish we had tried this sooner
Tried so many formulas for our boy who's had reflux and wind issues since day 1. ( aptamil AR, allerpro, aptamil de lact, nan comfort, A2, bubs goat milk, novalac reflux, ) Settled on nan comfort for quite a few months. Was put off trying a ha formula as I had heard about the smelly wind and green poo explosion nappies nan ha caused. Finally gave this a go... the first few days he had lots of runny nappies ( not green or overly smelly) but wind pains decreased, vomiting eased and eczema on his cheeks cleared. it's easy to prepare, bubs drinks ...Read more
it with no issues and even seems to burp easier. I do add aptamil feed thickener aswell ( 1 heaped scoop per 100ml) which just helps keep it down as it is a bit thinner than regular formulas. Really wish I had tried this much much sooner! If bubs has any tummy issues I recommend giving this a go.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Is aptamil gold plus 0 to 6 months halal ?
2 answers
Stuart S.Aptamil
Hi Ayesha, currently none of our products are Halal certified. However, when sourcing raw materials we do source Halal certifiable ingredients as far as possible. However none of the ingredients we buy are actually certified as Halal for us since this involves additional cost for us. I hope that helps you:) Kind regards, Hilary, Reg. Nutritionist

Hi again, I've just seen that you have asked about the Aptamil HA product. In order to produce our hydrolysed formulas we use an enzyme derived from pigs. The enzyme breaks down the milk protein. However the enzyme is not present in the formula as the enzyme is separated from the formula by filtering. The enzyme is not listed on the ingredient list as it is not part of the formula. Kind regards, Hilary

Is aptamil gold halal??
1 answer
Stuart S.Aptamil
Our Standard Aptamil Gold + formulas are suitable for Halal. The Aptamil Gold + HA (and Prosyneo Sensitive - new name for HA) on this post is not suitable as it uses a pork enzyme in the hydrolysation process. If you would like more information please contact us at the Careline 1800438500. Sue Nutritionist
Giselle S.asked
Can this new prosyneo component cause allergy to babies? my baby's nose was a bit swollen after first bottle of this milk, she has been on Aptamil HA Gold for last 11 months without any issues. Please help.

Stuart S.Aptamil
Hi Giselle, we have added a probiotic to the formula which should not have any impact on your baby's nose. Please call the Careline on 1800 438 500 to discuss this further.
My baby was having Aptamil HA and we were happy but since having this new sensitive aptamil (which is upgraded version) gave my baby conspitation.
