Best formula for my baby, easy on the stomach

published

After trying 5 different formulas my baby was better on this than the others. All the other formulas made her constipated and gassy and upset. We had tried Bellamy's Organic, S26 Gold, S26 delact, Karicare Aptimil Gold 1, then Novolac Constipation, which got rid of her constipation, but I didn't want to keep her on that one. When this one was finally back in stock, I stocked up and it was the best thing for her. The only thing I dont like about this is that it is always out of stock everywhere, and when it is in stock you can only purchase 1 or 2 tins. My baby is now 6 months and there is no stock until next month, so I am going to try another formula.
Best for constipation and gas
Always out of stock and expensive

Stinky product

published

Tried this after my son couldn't burp on the AR formula. He burped plenty on this but noticed he was constipated after 2 days. After 4 days and many, many rotten egg farts he finally did the worst, most explosive dark green sludge poo everywhere, all over his clothes, up his back, yuk yuk yuk! He didn't like the taste much, would not finish a bottle.
Easy to burp baby
Stinky farts, constipation, horrendous poo, expensive.

Great Product!!

After trying every single formula on the market including soy and going to ped 100 times.. I finally decided to try this formula even tho it said not for use if your child has a milk allergy. Best thing i every did. From day 1 he had probs.. When i breast feed he had diarrhea, when i bottle feed he had dark green hard poo, colic, bad reflux etc. Then i found this formula when he was about 4 months old and almost instantly his poo went seedy and yellow for the first time in his life and his colic dissapered.. He was 100% happier then ever ! He still spits up but not near as much but i guess thats his reflux. Fully recommend this formula to any fussy baby !
easy to mix, good price, helped tummy n poo probs

Didn't suit my baby

published

My daughter has colic and the paediatrician recommended this formula as it is easily digested . It made
Her colic worse and she had reflux that almost needed medication . We put her on novalac colic and it works for her . I guess different formulas work differently on every baby so it's a shame it didn't work as its easily available and cheap . The aptimal advice line was helpful
Available in supermarkets and cheap
My daughter had smelly wind and green explosive poo

We use this instead of the NAN HA

published

My son was on the original NAN HA since birth and never had any issues until we ran out of the original NAN HA and found that the new NAN HA formula caused him to break out in a rash on his face. I have since changed my son over to this product and he guzzles it down in a heartbeat.
HA which makes it easier for my little guy to digest
There is no scoop leveller inside the rim of the tin, only sold at the chemist, 8 scoops for 240mls is pain to count late at night

Hello, I have noticed across 2 tins of the Gold 1, that there are black specks in the bottle. I read online that this is due to overcooked formula when it is converted from liquid to solid & then when water is added it becomes visible. I don’t feel comfortable feeding my newborn overcooked formula. Can you please advise?

Hi Ayesha, currently none of our products are Halal certified. However, when sourcing raw materials we do source Halal certifiable ingredients as far as possible. However none of the ingredients we buy are actually certified as Halal for us since this involves additional cost for us. I hope that helps you:) Kind regards, Hilary, Reg. Nutritionist

Hi again, I've just seen that you have asked about the Aptamil HA product. In order to produce our hydrolysed formulas we use an enzyme derived from pigs. The enzyme breaks down the milk protein. However the enzyme is not present in the formula as the enzyme is separated from the formula by filtering. The enzyme is not listed on the ingredient list as it is not part of the formula. Kind regards, Hilary

Is aptamil gold halal??

Stuart S.Aptamil

Our Standard Aptamil Gold + formulas are suitable for Halal. The Aptamil Gold + HA (and Prosyneo Sensitive - new name for HA) on this post is not suitable as it uses a pork enzyme in the hydrolysation process.
