Great product, of too high demand!
Such a great product for my little one. It is very well instructed, and my baby seems to love it. I have been purchasing Aptamil Gold for a year now, and can't complain about the product itself. The only issue is that it is always of too high demand, and it's sometimes really hard for me to get one!

Pretty happy with it
we switched from Karicare to Aptamil Gold recently. To be honestly, I cant tell the difference between Karicare and Aptamil, but was told something ending up with 'Gold' may be better for baby. It is easy to prepare and bub seems to enjoy it. No side effects or consitpation problem, pretty happy with it so far. However, it is always out of stock in shops, we may go back to karicare just because of this reason.

Great choice formula
I was recommended this formula Aptamil Gold +1 since my baby was newborn by the nurses in hospital when my bf was insufficient.
Ever since, I am very happy with the formula and now my baby is 7 months, I continue to Gold+ 2.
My baby never complains, neither has fever or diarrhoea ever since taking this formula + breastmilk.
We never try or change to other brand too.

Best formula for my bub!!
I have tried quite a number of different brands, S26, NAN, but have found this one to be the best. Bub was happy to take it the first time, and it didn't give my bub any digestion problems. It's easy to measure as 1 scoop is 50ml. However it seems to be always sold out in stores.

Decent formula for babies. Price is ok
Tried this new Aptamil Gold+2 formula for the babies and they seem to really enjoy it without any side effects. It can be purchased conveniently in majority of supermarkets (if they have sufficient stock!). This formula is easy to prepare, tastes nice however price is just ok unless on sale.

Great formula, 2 stars only because it's impossible to find
We moved our boy from S26 Gold stage 2 onto Aptamil Gold stage 2 and he loved it. After a few tins we started noticing it was almost impossible to find in shops. I rang 9 different Woolworths supermarkets one day and found a store who had just received some on a truck, I raced down there and bought 4 tins (they hadn't put it on the shelf yet, so they specially went out the back and got it for me).
Since then I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I tried to Live Chat on the Aptamil website but they were offline so I left a message asking whe...Read more

Great - my baby loves this formula
Easy to prepare - one scoop per 50ml of water. My baby seems to like it. I also use it to mix with rice cereal.
Have not noticed any adverse side effects or issues with my baby on this formula and we have tried other formulas.
Would recommend this formula to other mums.

Love that it's blended & packed in New Zealand
My 2 babies love it, I'm always sure to buy a few at a time just so I don't run out. Love that it's blended & packed in New Zealand. None of my babies have been sick or refused it they love the taste & get excited when they see a bottle getting made for them, I have a 9 month old & 20 month old and they both love to have a bottle at bed time even if they have just finished dinner(food) they still won't refuse their bottle.

Very good formula
Easy to prepare and dissolves well with hot water. My baby enjoys it and her poos are like breastfed poos. She was breastfed and then on Bellamys follow on but that didn't work at all and led to bad gas, pain and constipation. Aptamil also offers good support on their helpline for a variety of issues. Very happy with Aptamil.

Upset my 11 month old babys tummy
My baby usually has Karicare Aptamil Gold HA formula which I had no problems with but I could not find it anywhere anymore so I changed to this formula but it is terrible. Very frothy and gave my baby diarrhea after every bottle feed and bad wind. My baby used to sleep 12 hours straight at night before but now he is waking all through the night and is hungry all of the time. I would not recommend this formula to anyone.

Happy !!!!!! works well.....
Every baby formaul product has pros and cons, so you by your self has to workout, observe and analyse how your baby reacts for baby formula.
My son, he is now 10 mths old. He was given Karicare ( at Hospital's recommendation) since he was born as a top up until he was 6 months. He is now completely on Karicare Gold (2nd stage). In the beginning (may be about a month, my baby had constipation, reflux, farting ( this is common experience in all other formulas too as per mums) until he was used to it. I closely observed and then noticed all the...Read more
se issues were evaded after a few months. My baby, he is happy with it and I have no issues with Karicare as of now. I did a thorough comparison with other formula types in the beginning as to its ingredients, calories, and the vitamins included, and am happy with the contents. My now ONLY worry is the Karecare contamination in NZ. What is the guarantee that AU karicare imports are not affected by Botolism Bacteria......However, I did not swap to an alternative prooduct yet as the change would give bad results. I have purpotedly avoided buying the production during May to August ( contaminated period) and start buying from the old production. OOOP.....???? but not sure how far my practice can be continued ( may be until the old production lasts in supermarket shelfs in Australia) unless latest press (Nutricia or MPI) update is issued as to its safety. recent Karicare scareSimilar opinion? Great product
very happy with this formula. We switched to this formula after my milk stopped - we tried other brands, some didnt leave bubby full enough, and made her constipated too. We didnt have any issues with this one at all; my bubby loved it and we didnt have any issues with constipation or diarrhoea or wind - no issues at all!
great value; great product

So impressed!
We changed to this formula after s-26 constatnly made my son constipated and Nan Ha played havoc with his bowels, in that he had green, runny and very offensive smelly poo. What a great formula, DS is so happy and settled and bowels working so well. DS loves the taste and is drinking more milk than ever before. Extremely happy, would highly recommend.
Size, price, works well for my baby's bowels

Nothing good at all
This formula was terrible didnt mix well at all, was extremely frothy so had to mix in one bottle and pour into another while holding a spoon against the froth to stop it pouring out. caused severe wind for my 9month old little girl who also got nappy rash after first week accompanied by diarrhea and occasional projectile vomiting. cant say I got a bad batch either as every tin was the same and after doing process of elimination it was confirmed this milk was not compatible with my baby!

Not the one for my son
We decided to try karicare aptamil gold 2 for our 7 month old boy as our current formula, lactogen, was being discontinued. I had read good things about it and was keen to give it a go, but it just didn't work for my son. He drank less than half of the bottles we have him, it was a really frothy formula and he woke up four times overnight, which hasn't happened in months. I gave up on the formula after four days and threw the rest of the tin out. My son drank his next bottle of lactogen completely. I am sure this works for some babies but it just doesn't work for my boy :(
Good reviews, pleasant smell
Very frothy, expensive, son doesn't like the taste

So pleased!
We recently had major dramas when our 6 month old moved onto step 2 of Nestle Nan H.A pro and he became very ill. Once we found out on the news that it was the formula that had been making him sick and there was heaps of other parents out there on the same formula having the same symptoms since they changed the ingredients due to their so called new 'improved taste'. ., we straight away changed to Nutricia karicare Immunocare gold 2 and within a couple of days our bubbly happy little man returned! He wanted to have almost all of the bottle and...Read more
was finally getting some sleep (and so were the rest of us) His symptoms that had been caused from the other formula disappeared over the next few days too! I recommend this formula, it definately is very good! :) My son loves it, it keeps him healthy and happy and its gentle on the stomach! Also mixes well.Similar opinion? Good
This formula is very good if you want to bottle feed. It has added nutrients to support babies immune system. It is made by a trusted company and is used by lots of people. It is high quality and quite expensive, but well worth it if it agrees with the baby. It is easily mixed up and dissolves well.
This formula seems to be very good for babies. It is easily digested and readily available at supermarkets and chemists. It has added nutrients making it higher in nutritional content.
It is more expensive than other formulas on the market. Some babies become spewy on this formula

Questions & Answers
Allyasked
My baby has recently turned 6 months and I switched from stage 1 to stage 2 right away. She is VERY slowly starting solids but not taking to it very well. Since switching formulas she has had runny poops and several times a day. Also more gas than usual.
Previous to the switch she was a very regular pooper once or twice a day at about the same time every morning.
I am thinking to switch back to stage 1, is this the right option?

Stuart S.Aptamil
Hi Mary, the stage 3 Aptamil Gold + has higher levels of prebiotics ( for bowel health ) and also has a higher proportion of casein to whey ( amongst other differences). Some babies are particularly sensitive to this and some have digestive changes which should settle after a week or two. Please call us on our Careline 1800 438 500 if your baby is still unsettled so we can help. Kind regards, Hilary Reg.Nutritionist
