Best Ever
I bought a 30cm Chef's Choice at Woolworths when my Scanpan gummed up.This one has a metal handle, not plastic. It is the best fry pan I've ever owned, and I've had some expensive pans in my time. Cooks beautifully. So easy to clean, Brilliant. I'd never buy another kind.

Above average Fry Pan for a bargain price
I purchased this in Woolies for $20. I used it in accordance with the manufacturer's specificaiton - wooden/nylon utensils only, and no oil sprays. I used it in a gas hob.
For the first 12 months of use, it was fantastic. You can fry an egg without any oil. Cleaning the pan is such a breeze. You can finish cooking in the oven if you have to, thanks to its stainless steel handle. It was a dream to use.
Now 18 months down the track, it has lost its super non-stick properties. You can still fry eggs, but you have to use some oil now. It stic...Read more
ks a bit, but with a little nudge, you can easily take it out. I can still fry stuff, but it's not as good as what it was when I first bought it. Nevertheless it is still a good pan. It has a 10 year warranty which covers defects and abnormal deterioration, but it doesn't cover normal wear and tear though. In my experience Arcosteel is as good as other more expensive pans. In my opinion it's even durable than Tefal. But as with all non-stick pans, the performance degrades over time, but 18 months after my purchase, I am still happily using it. I'd buy it again this when It's on special in Woolies.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The non-stick surface is eroding - is it safe to still use the pan?

Hi There,
I'm not sure what you mean by " eroding". If you man the non-stick surface is wearing off, yes, it is safe to use, however things will continue to stick in those areas. My son borrowed mine and he has left some of those patches too. I continue to use it while being careful to make sure that area is well greased.
Eventually I will have to replace it but they are so economical that I have already had my money's worth so won't begrudge buying a second in due course.
Hope this helps.
