Total crap and waste of money
Non-Stick is a joke, even eggs stick to my Essteele non-stick frypan, and that is with the benefit of cooking oil...sausages stick, schnitzel sticks, every bloody thing I put into this overpriced, over-rated frypan sticks.
Purchased in January 2021 at David Jones for $180.00.

Great product!
After wasting good money on top shelf nonstick pans and pots, I finally went back to Stainless Steel.
This product is dishwasher safe, and oven safe with its silicone handles, which is great when cooking from stove top to oven.
Liquid doesn’t spill everywhere when pouring from saucepan, example gravy into a gravy jug. I love that it’s designed so well, that there is no mess.
Only downside to this product.......
Customer service in Victoria is great if you need a new lid or handle replaced. But, Unfortunately I can’t say the same for QLD. Where I’m yet to find a representative here.
Purchased at Myer.

Great pans - shame about the hollow handles that hold water, until you empty the dishwasher then you get soaked
These pans are great, BUT, they have hollow handles and a hole in the grip for hanging on a hook. Whenever you remove them from the dishwasher, the handle is full of water, that spills all over you. A removable silicone plug would solve the issue.
Purchased in September 2021 at Myer Retail Stores for $400.00.

Stainless steel cookware advice
Found some helpful advice on stainless steel cookware, currently i am looking for a replacement for my non stick pots. it mentions that for stainless steel cookware to work on induction stoves a lesser quality magnetic stainless steel is required on the outer layer of cookware (18/0 also known as 400 series) and the traditional cookware is used on the inside ( 18/10 also known as 304 series). there is also some cookware that has used 21/0 stainless steel for outer layer. hopefully this helps.

Real Life Time Warranty
We were given a set of essteele copper bottom saucepans as a wedding gift in 1970. Over time (at least 40 years) a handle and some lid knobs broke I recently contacted Essteele in the hope of purchasing replacement parts. I was asked to supply photos of the pans which I did. There response was that the parts were no longer available but gave us a voucher worth $400 with free freight to replace our older one. I would highly recommend the Essteele Company as a company to deal with.

Best Saucepans I have ever used
These saucepans are excellent. Easily the best saucepans I have used. I have had the full set including the 2 big stockpots for almost 20 years. We originally purchased the original design with the black plastic handles and the adjustable vent on the lid. After about 4 years the 18cm pan started to delaminate near the copper base section. I phoned "Better Cookware Brands" and they replaced the saucepan with a brand new one free of charge, no questions asked. The replacement was the new design with the stainless steel handle with the grey rubb...Read more
erised grip section and no vent in the lid. After 10 years the 20cm saucepan started to delaminate in exactly the same fashion as the other one had. Unfortunately I could no longer find the purchase receipt after 10 years. That didn't matter, they again replaced the saucepan free of charge. That was after 10 years and I didn't have the receipt. In the intervening 10 years since receiving the last replacement, they have performed flawlessly. In use these saucepans cook beautifully. They cook beautifully and even and you don't need to use high temperature settings, very often. They simmer beautifully. It is very hard to burn food in them and stick it to the bottom. You really need to get it all wrong to cause that to happen. On the few occasions we have burnt food and stuck it to the bottom (like falling asleep with the stove on) they clean remarkable easily. The burnt food basically falls off, if you give them a good soak in hot soapy water. Highly recommended and I would happily buy them again if I had my time over. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Despite other comments to the contrary, I have found the customer service to be exceptional on both occasions I have had warranty claims.Purchased in July 2021.

Whether it is 18/10 stainless steel
I brought one 5 pieces Australis cookware in Victoria's basement just 2 days ago and the the package or the document inside has nothing to address they are 18/10 stainless steel. After I asked their customer service to send me a formal document to confirm it is 18/10 stainless steel, a customer service staff just sent me an informal email to say it is 18/10 stainless steel. When i phoned them there is a lady with phone number from Western Australia being very rude and told me they would not take pnone call anymore and there is no formal documen...Read more
t to confirm the product is 18/10. That email from the customer service staff was the formal document they sent. What a joke! If nothing print on the package or formal document inside of the package to specify Australis 18/10 stainless steel, how are we customers trust the product actually is! I was wondering why they could not specify clearly in a formal way. If they could not we should be supposed to get exchanged but they said no. How ridiculous and rude to ask polite customers not bothering! If I knew their customer services from Western Australia so rude I would not spend $300 to bother this product. How misleading it had been when the customer service told me the 18/10 before I brought without formal document. I totally feel vulnerable when that lady told me I should go to ACCC if I had further question.Purchased in June 2021 at Victoria's Basement for $300.00.

Lifetime Warranty is a joke, don't waste of money
The much vaunted 'lifetime' warranty is a joke. I had purchased the product in August 2018 and out for holiday on Christmas. After 5 months of use, the handle already looses, lots of other defects as well and after contacting their customer service, they simply refuse to replace it by blaming me overheat the product. If I need to fix the issue, I will have to pay for the packaging and post it to Warehouse in Vic. The customer service team did not care about how much the customers had paid and the expected outcome of the customer.
You would get the same lifetime out of a product half the price.
Don't waste your money!!! Such a big joke for lifetime warranty of Essteele Australia. Never ever recommend this brand!!!!
Purchased in August 2021 at Myer Retail Stores for $149.00.

excellent after sales customer service
I purchased 2 sets of 3 Essteele Per Moda (ceramic) fry pans - one set of 3 as a gift to my daughter in law a few years ago. These were highly recommended as excellent non stick cookware which was the sole reason I bought them.
it didn't take long before my scrambled eggs, meat balls, etc were sticking despite using a bit of oil and butter. I never used oil spray. At least they are fairly easy to clean.
I decided to contact Meyer Cookware and was fortunate that their response was immediate and positive and to my satisfaction. It's good to know that there are companies that are committed to customer service.

Good solid cookware and prompt sales support
Have an Esteele copper based steel saucepan set purchased about 2000, used extensively ever since. Pots have held up fine except the ‘black not metallic’ (plastic???) handles became a bit brittle and through hard wear and tear a couple broke. Anyway recently decided to replace And picked up at Myer a new Essteele Per Vita set and none stick fry pan, on special, to replace. New products appears to be of high quality and has steel handles so will probably see me out...lol. Anyway back to the original set, I inquired online as to replacement ...Read more
handles (can never have enough pots). Within that afternoon it was determined that said handles are no longer in production, not to worry, but Essteele gifted me with a voucher to spend on their website to help replace my set. How good is that, anyway have just purchased a sauté pan and could not be happier with that brand or the excellent product and sales support.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Handles on lids get too hot to touch
I purchased the 14 & 16 cm Per Sempre Saucepans in January from David Jones. Pots are fine...but the handles on the lids become too hot to touch or hold. Contacted customer service on the essteele au website - they replied back saying ‘ it is quite normal for the handles to get hot’. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. All my other pots & matching stainless lids (also of equal quality & price/different brands) don’t get hot handles. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this brand.

Good until they fail
No issues with the product until the handles failed. they cannot be purchased as the product is 'too old'. The much vaunted 'life time' warranty is a joke.
Contacting their customer service is next to impossible, they simply ignore you. Yoy would get the same life time out of a product half the price.
Don't waste your money.

Frypan failed after 5 months
I purchased an Esteele ceramic frying pan from David Jones Chatswood for $160 in April this year. It performed beautifully for 4 months, then started to slowly lose its non-stick nature. On closer inspection, there was a hairline crack about 3 inches long across the centre of the ceramic. During the next few weeks it became more noticeable and a second parallel crack started to appear. The pan has never been overheated or metal utensils used, and washed with a non-abrasive warm wet cloth. My old el-cheapo Raco performed much better than this. ...Read more
On returning it to David Jones Tuggerah, I was told that they could not replace it, but it would have to be sent back to the supplier to see if there really was a fault. We would be without a frying pan for possibly 3 weeks. They thought the use of olive oil, albeit at a low temperature was the cause (no mention of this in the accompanying safety brochure or by the sales person). As an engineer, I can recognise a crack caused by different thermal expansions, and I know the properties of olive oil at medium temperatures, and cracking ceramic is not one of them. I am most disappointed that such an expensive pan should fail so early, and the run-around to get a replacement on your life-long guarantee.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Best saucepans you could ever buy
We received a set of Essteele saucepans for our wedding 32 years ago, use them everyday, they are fantastic. They have a copper bottom and heat up quickly, the handles have never been damaged. They will see out my lifetime, could not recommend them high enough. Cooked healthy meals for my family, as l use the steamer for vegetables every day. Best investment in the kitchen for a lifetime, l love to cook and cook everyday.
The saucepans were bought in December 1984. The calendar does not go back that far. They all still look fantastic.

poorly designed handles
Hi
I purchased a 16cm covered saucepan from the Australis range, which means that the handles are coated with silicone. I am disappointed with the pan as it has a number of basic design faults. The handle is too small and thin. Unlike the full stainless handle which is rectangularish in shape, this one is round and therefore has no hand feel for pouring or holding. The silicone coating is slippery, especially when wet or clutched with food lubricated hands (which is very likely in the kitchen!). This makes the pot a nightmare to manipula...Read more

Warranty of Essteele cookware
Purchased a set of Essteele saucepans 20 years ago and they were brilliant. In the last couple of weeks I had a problem with one of the saucepans. When contacting Essteele they asked me to give details of purchase, size, etc. and promptly advised me they would replace the saucepan. I was given a very generous amount of credit to purchase one of their new ones. Have always been very happy with their product and after the wonderful service by their representative Cathy I certainly will keep on purchasing their products.

Good so far
I bought an essteele covered casserole one week ago (Jan 2017). I haven't used it yet so my star rating is based on its looks and service from essteele. I rang essteele in Victoria (Australia) to enquire about 'cleaning before first use' as I wanted to make sure I would be doing the right thing and following the booklet instructions. I was worried the bicarb of soda soak that was required would tarnish the copper base.
I was advised that a clear protective coating (invisible to the eye) used to be added before shipment to protect the coppe...Read more

Wonderful product, at least it was 40 years ago!!!
I inherited my set of Essteele saucepans from my mother-in-law 3 years ago. I didn't really want more saucepans but kept them anyway knowing they'd cost a lot of money about 40 years ago. They are the best saucepans, copper base, and still look like new. Today I left a bolognaise sauce simmering unattended for a couple of hours ( was deliberate) on solid hot plates that other saucepans would've burnt the contents. Perfect result!

Do your copper bonded stainless steel pots work with induction cooktop?
1 answer
Yes the copped bottomed pans work very well. You will be surprised how quickly a pan of water heats up - quicker than an electric kettle!
Cathyasked
Is the Australis cookware set suitable for induction? I have read that pans with a copper base are not suitable.
2 answers
Yes we purchased these specifically for our new induction top. If you jump in quick you might get the awesome discounts that we saw over the weekend, we needed a small frying pan, I am not sure if my wife or son purchased but I overheard the talking about large % discounts
We only use thermal cook tops and find the saucepans very efficient
