An embarrassment!!
I bought a watch in August 2022 from Myer, it turned out the watch was broken. I sent the watch back for a repair and the repair company sent it back still broken. I sent the watch back to the store for a second time in November 2022 and it was returned to me in January 2020 still not working. Each time I have requested Myer's assistance all that they have done is told me to return the watch to the repair company. This has been very unhelpful and frankly disgraceful service!

bargains
I feel i need to leave a positive review after seeing complaints from others. I am thrilled to purchase bargains at their sale ($220 denim jacket down to $30, $150 dresses down to $30 and $80 tops selling for $20). Wow i got to say i have a heap of top quality new clothes for my work as a teacher (as we all know primary school teachers need decent clothes on a tight salary lol). I had about 8 new good quality outfits with labels like Cooper St and spent less than $200! Awesome! One star taken off for lack of customer service (had to hunt down a...Read more
cashier, went to few all were empty desks)... but if lack of staff means these type of bargains i’m cool ! Only thing to consider is no returns for the clearance clothing if i change mind... but i tried them all on so just had to be extra careful it all fit well.Similar opinion? Terrible customer service
Called their store in Carousel, Perth, twice to find out if they still had a frypan sale on, and both calls rung out. Somebody picked up the phone on the second call and promptly hung it up. Took my business elsewhere.

MYER Rubbish Men Perfume and Rip Off Customers
A few days ago I bought perfume from MYER Chermside and asked for the best quality and last longer smell then seller showed me one, I checked tester, it had a perfect smell, I purchased it $125 and then use it at home looks water inside with minimum essence, smell stayed on skin and clothes less than one hour then nothing. I returned it to the MYER and talked to the seller and manager (Michelle Adair) but they didn't accept to return it.
They rip off customers by rubbish product, never buy perfume from MYER.

Great customer service from Linda of hub
This is the second time I met Linda from myer parramatta.
First time she tied shoelaces for a disabled man. I never saw any retail store employee being so helpful that will do such a thing for a customer, it touched my heart.
Second when I returned my online items thinking it was calculated incorrectly she did not made a fuss instead she just went over and explained to me patiently.
Thanks her also for kindly checking online luggage for me.
It is such a pleasure having the nice, loving lady serving me.

Different policies for poor people - I needed to call Victoria Police about email harassment from Myer after this post
Over many decades I have been given Myer voucher cards for my birthday/Christmas. This circumstance is exacerbated for someone like myself because my birthday falls on Christmas day so friends and family often run out of ideas.
Due to lifestyle arrangements and my frequent travel, I have never had an immediate need to use these vouchers. Going back some decades I have spoken with staff within Myer at have always been told that the vouchers cards could expire and that they would be updated with new vouchers within the store when I am ready to p...Read more
lace a purchase. I understand this was the the policy as communicated to consumers with throughout Australia over many decades. Recently I attended a Myer store in Northland (Victoria) to use two cards in possession. Both these cards were expired but as per many experiences over previous decades I was lead to believe they would be updated by customer service so I could complete the purchase. Upon talking to customer service I was shocked to hear they would not update the cards and they suggested I call the number on the card to discuss. Please note, I was told this number was for a different company to Myer and that they are the company that issue cards on behalf of Myer Some weeks after this experience, I decided to call Myer customer service given they are Myer gift cards and it was Myer that had previously given me assurances that I would be able to use the card in this situation ie when it has expired and I wish to make a purchase. When I spoke to Myer customer service I was told that they could help me and would provide new credit but first to provide my "Myer one" card number. I may have rung or selected an option for Myer one card holders as I don't know why the operator assumed I was a Myer one card holder.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

No refund for clearance items!
Beware items bought on "reduced to clear" online or "clearance" in store cannot be returned for a refund and "may" only be exchanged for an "identical item".
Wasn't aware of this when I made some recent online purchases. Mixed bag of didn't fit or suit me. No local Myer so travelled to the closest one but unable to exchange for right size as not in store and nothing I could do with the unsuitable. Whilst in the shop I also found it confusing which items were on sale that can be returned or clearance that can't.
Looked again at the website an...Read more
d it was noted in the item description also referring you to the full return policy which you scroll through to find "excluded" returns. Once the item is added to the shopping bag this policy is no longer noted. I did overlook this, as there are a lot of details in those description, but I would have been happy if an exchange for a different item had been an option. The shopping bag should also identify clearance items and the non return policy as part of the description. Currently the bottom of the shopping bag refers to "easy returns" for "change of mind" which you assume covers any items in your bag. There is no reference to items being clearance or that they can't be returned. Checkout is where you make do the final check of your order before you hit the pay button. I think this policy is unfair for online purchases which you have no idea if they are suitable until you receive them. Now stuck with clothes that I can't wear but I won't be making that mistake again and hopefully neither will you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad management Lvl 3 George St Myer said can’t do anything coz my x’mas gift security tag stapled garment inside box.
I opened my Christmas present and inside the box has still the Security Tag! It’s securely stapled in the garment! I went to Myers George street CBD Level 3 and the manager there she told me she can’t do anything for me. She did not care at all. It’s a x’mas present of course I don’t have the receipt. It’s Myers fault not mine for not taking off the “Grey Security Tag”. And the manager did not care at all! My Christmas present is now ruined! I told her to take the product back and give it to charity but she did not do anything. I have now lea...Read more
rned that Myers staff only care for you when you buy things but not when it’s their fault as a store! I am now disheartened and I will never shop with Myers again because I will always think for that Bad Manager how she is! Thanks for nothing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Shocking rude staff Adelaide
After receiving a Myer Voucher for xmas i went into your Adelaide CBD store, walking through the shoe department I struggled to find anyone to help me with a size, however there were several staff members throughout the floor standing together in groups chatting whilst myself and other customers struggled. Particularly irritating was having to listen to the three Tony Bianco girls chat about how they weren't lazy but there was several things they just weren't willing to do- Obviously serving customers was one of those. I then tried the handbag...Read more
department where two unfriendly female and one male staff member proceeded to pretend not to see me standing at the counter. But i would have to say the cherry on top of this unpleasant visit was your asian staff member in the YSL makeup concession. After finding what i wanted i waited to get served but she decided to ignore me when i said excuse me the women replied with "WHAT" in an aggressive and irritated tone. I told her she was rude and i was going to take this further and i wanted her name she proceeded to put her hand over her name badge. This is the second time I have received shocking treatment from this particular staff member in the YSL makeup department. I have to say for a company that is on the verge of going down the drain you are doing everything in your power to make sure that this occurs. If i could trade the Myer Voucher in for a David Jones one I would, as the service from your competitor is far superior.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Unwanted gift exchange
I received an unwanted gift for Christmas that had a Myer tag on it. I assumed like all of the other big chain stores I would be able to get a credit note. No, I was asked for the receipt which I didn't have. The shop assistant got on the phone to the manager to see what to do. He came back with, "are you able to get the receipt?" I told him it is very hard to tell someone you would never use this item and can I have the receipt so I can return it. He said without the receipt, he couldn't do anything. I probably would have spent more money on ...Read more
top of the credit note if I had got it. Instead I promptly left the store and will not be returning. Myer wonders why their business is going down hill. No customer service and tricks like this and the one about no exchange on refunds on clearancen items that i have just read about. I always liked the return policy at Myer, so now it's just another reason to not shop there. Wake up to yourself or you really will go bankrupt. Not happy JanSimilar opinion? Beware of Return policy for Clearance items
I purchased a handbag with a clearance tag I got home and decided the bag was too big I returned the bag the following day with receipt for a refund or credit note
I was informed by the manager there are no refunds exchange or credit notes for items purchased with a clearance tag ???
When purchasing the item I was not informed of this policy. Why change a policy just before Christmas ??? There is a very small notice on a long counter of the change of policy I did not see it.Very poor disclosure of information. I will not be shopping at Myers again.
Surely this does not conform with Consumer Affairs Policy.
I will get in touch with consumer affairs.

Returns Policy Stinks! Beware Of Sale Items Unable To Return
I've been shopping at Myers for years. Apparently from the 1st Oct 19 Myers no longer accepts returns on sale items even within a 30 day period. This is absolutely appalling and takes advantage of customers who may buy on the spur of the moment, then go home and something doesn't fit properly. Come on Myers lift your standards as this is terrible customer service and forces customers to buy online from other stores.

Most insulted I have ever been as a customer
Firstly I'd like to say that I tried to write an email to Myer to discuss this, but cannot find a complaints email address anywhere on their website so I have chosen to give the feedback here in this public forum.
I experienced the most shocking customer service I have ever received last week.
The retail operator scanned my items, and I noticed the amount was more than the advertised amount, because there was one deal for buying one item (25% off) and a better deal if you buy multiples of two (two for $50).
I advised him that the amount w...Read more

I have experienced computers getting prices wrong many times in the past, this isn't my complaint. My complaint is about how dismissive this staff member was.Similar opinion? shoe department in store service is terrible no wonder people are now shopping online
made the effort to drive to a busy shopping centre, struggled to get a park,
went to Meyer shoe department, there was no stock out for test fitment,
trying to find staff to see who was looking after area, was impossible
i was rudely told to stand in line, (long checkout Queue,) to get help,
never again, next time i am buying online directly from shoe manufacture;
why on earth don`t Meyer just have a bell or something in different departments,
then you can have roaming staff to help, this would keep costs down,
or is this maybe to simple ???
you need to get good quality retail management back into Meyers,...Read more

Myer Parramatta - Appalling Customer Service. Spoiled our day !!!!!!
Appalling customer service by the staff in the appliances section. We bought from the shop a mixer and accessory for a good price. To get the security tag off we had to go to another desk. The staff there (mostly Indians) could not believe the price we paid for the items. We had already bought the items and had paid for it with receipts in our hand. They made us wait there for 30 minutes while they are doing their investigation and made us look like thieves trying to steal something from the shop. Later the lady floor supervisor joined the othe...Read more
r staff and said they cannot let us take the items unless we pay more than what we already paid. After causing us enough embarrassment and trouble they forced us to return the items we bought. Tried calling the Myer customer service and was told Myer has the right to take things back even if you have bought it if Myer thinks they sold it for the wrong price. Myer, You Cannot Get it Any More Wrong. Where is your customer service?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor product
I bought a Trent Nathan shirt for my husband two years ago. It has only been washed maybe 8-10 (if that)times in a front loader machine. The shirt has totally disintegrated. The shirt was only worn as a good shirt and we are very disappointed with this product.

Myer No exchange on clearance items - another long time customer list
I was shopping at Myer Parramatta today and bought my 4 year old grand daughter a pair of shoes on clearance, I was told at the cash register that I am not able to return/exchange clearance items any more, new policy. Being a grandmother I very often shop without my grandchildren or children for that matter so not always sure of size etc. I have been a good customer of Myer since they traded under Grace Bros, Christmas time always gave Myer gift cards, NOT ANY MORE. Myer has lost me as a customer and I will not be shopping there any more, looks like David Jones/Target/Kmart gift cards this year. They wonder why they are loosing money??????
